Uh Hello !
Number 2 Stop On the Martini Monday Circuit !
I LOVE THIS PLACE.
Seriously, 5$ delicious Martinis and incredible music. The main floor is a bit small but part of me actually likes that. It feels like that secret place that only a handful of people know about. NO LINE. NO COVER. The only down side is there's no coat check, but lots of weird places to hide them.
The music is so awesome (they have this Lion King remix song that seriously is incredible) and every time I turn around theres a hot juice-head standing behind me. What more could a single drunk girl want?

Here you go Ben:
Pay cover to feel like you are in a cocktail lounge where you could normally walk in free. Watch people dance and let random body parts hang out on an area that doesnt feel like it should be a dance floor. Laugh and remind yourself you are far too old to be in the place and make a run for the exit! -

I had the pleasure of actually hearing and enjoying the company of my friends at this "Wonderful - Classy " new Hot Spot in Halifax. I completely get that the owner has a unique vision of his venue.
Being over 35 I highly recommend as a Fabulous place to meet and mingle while enjoying their vast selection of cocktails. Contrary to the previous reviews I don't want to go to a totally grunge style venue where the staff look like they just rolled out of bed.
Ladies can actually dress in a cocktail dress or a guy in a suit and feel completely in their element. Coming from Boston I was worried that Halifax had lost it's flair for the business professional to have a FUN place to unwind. G Lounge has restored my faith in the city. Bravo to the owners and staff. I will be returning and spreading the word of your Fabulous Place. -

This was my second time at G lounge and I must say, we had a great time!
This a great place to go dancing if you want to minimize the kindergarten kids on the dance floor. If we're in town and looking to sweat it off on the dance floor, the G lounge is where we'll go!
Despite the super decor, drinks are not outrageously priced. Service was a bit slow on Friday but there was a big crowd. Over all, would strongly recommend this place to anyone in their late 20's + looking for a good night out on the town! -

As Seven, this locale once was swanky Halifax chic. Now this spot has morphed into a porn vibe heaven, with lavender velour chaise lounges and black plastic cutouts draping from the ceiling. Did I mention the bounty of chandeliers?
Sadly when I popped by today, they were closed. I was hoping for a cocktail and the chance to suss out these recent edition to the Halifax scene. The place felt cheap sex meets lush materials and pricey bevies (not an atmosphere I'm all together against).
I'd really like to indulge in the G Lounge ambiance in the near future. The name leaves enough room for interpretation that I'm curious to know what kind of clientele they're in the market for. My hopes are for a faux shishi, tight clothing, too much cologne with gelled haired dudes paired with stiletto footed, hair sprayed babes. Can I get a holla?! -

The name of this new venue is one that sets up the story. Formerly the home of Seven Wine Bar, G Lounge continues follows its predecessor along the lines of swank, and perhaps not in the most subtle of ways.
The mood here is, perhaps, a pinch too forced. With the hopes of encompassing a strong atmosphere of high-rolling ambient ritz, its too bad that G Lounge falls a bit short. I admire this venue fragments at a time: the chandeliers, heavy draping and engaged seating are all worthy components, but for some reason, the picture as a whole doesn't fare well with me.
The staff are outwardly groomed, and by this, I mean its easy to envision their step-by-step routine of excessive hair time. There is a general vibe provided that intermixes between the staff and aesthetics that translates as a little trying... but lets give this spot the benefit of the doubt here- G Lounge still fairly new.
I'm in no rush to sit down for the full meal deal, but if there does come a time, I'm not completely opposed. My impressions provided an idea that this spot just isn't a vibe I could love, and there are so many other Hali hotspots that I'd hit up before heading back.
