This is the best/biggest future shop in Edmonton. It is also the newest. It is located in South Edmonton Common and has all the electronics you could possibly need, from home appliances to computers.
My favorite thing about this location is their musical instrument section. They carry a huge selection of guitars and they also have keyboards. If you need accessories like mic stands, they have those too. The service in this department is great. They are extremely helpful and truly love music and instruments and know their stuff. One guy here always goes out of his way to make sure the customer is happy.
The reason I only gave a 3 star rating is because I recently bought a cell phone from here and the people working in that department didn't even set up my phone!! They just gave it to me and sent me on my way. I had to take it to another store so that I could actually use it to make phone calls.
This is a great location, with great selection. Some of the workers might not be as helpful as others. -

A short and sweet review on this one. I stopped by at around 10 AM on a weekday, shortly after they opened for the day, looking for printer ink.
I found the printer ink section by myself but couldn't figure out which package to buy. The only staff help I got was, "Well, this is the printer ink section so....if the kind you need is here, it will be on this shelf."
Pretty unhelpful, and I ended up buying the ink elsewhere. -

Honestly, I avoid Future Shop for one reason and that one reason is the salespeople.
I hate being sold to or hassled while I shop. If I need help, I will ask for it. It is a known fact that Future Shop employees are paid by commission and I hate knowing this and going into the store. I have to say the phrase "no, we're just looking" about 5 times in one visit.
This weekend, we went here looking for covers for our new iPhones. We had gone to best buy and hadn't found anything we liked, so we headed to Future Shop. We walked in and barely made it to the cell phone area before we were asked if we needed help. When we did get to the cell phone accessories area we were asked yet again by another salesperson. My boyfriend found a cover that he liked and he picked it up.
We then went to look at DVD players. Yet another sales person asked us if we needed help. We looked at Mac Computers. Another sales person asked if we needed help.
Finally, we were walking to the cashier and we stopped to glance at Mp3 adapters for our car and the same salesperson who asked us moments before if we needed help, started to lurk behind us and stood there until we walked away.
I hate Future Shop. Sure, my boyfriend found a nice cover for his phone but what an annoying venture out! -

I used to like Future Shop but they don't really have much to offer anymore.
I went in here looking for a couple iPhone accessories but was vastly disappointed. They hardly had anything. And they sell the iPhone for crying out loud!
They don't have anything that you can't find somewhere else at a better price and with more selection.
Future shop is in the past. Move on!
