Review from John F.

The three star rating is a bit of an average of a one star and a four star.
The high rating part is for the selection and quality of contemporary furniture, which is outstanding. They have a lot of spectacular - and expensive - Italian imports as well as cheaper and less flashy otherwise very nice Canadian made furniture. The owner is quite pleasant and willing to deal. Also four stars for the delivery. They may be a bit later than scheduled, but that is because the delivery guy is so pleasant and so careful and accurate about setting up furniture. At least he was with me, so I assume he was late because he was equally so with others. As far as style goes here, think Milan and not Stockholm. As for the furniture itself - and I bought the better part of a household - I am very happy so far. I would mention that even with some nice discounts this is probably not a place for twenty-somethings, but it is not super high end either, unless you buy all Italian stuff.
Now, for the one star part. The people who run this are from a small European country and do not seem to be accustomed to the North American concept of "customer relationship management." This was particularly the case with special order and delivery set-up. We were told our order would take four week or possibly two. After two weeks, they said four, which did not upset me because I thought two weeks would not have been likely anyway. When we called at four weeks, they told us only a bed and a coffee table were in. I told them to deliver the bed and hold on to the coffee table till the other living room stuff came. However, when the delivery guy came he said he had almost everything. This was upsetting as we had not yet removed all of our unpacking from the living room and were not yet expecting to get it ready, so we had to scramble. Our dining set chairs, however, were still not in. They actually took ten week, which would have been perfectly acceptable to me if this was estimated, but given the four week estimate, it seemed a bit long. We were repeatedly told to call back in a week or two weeks when we asked about them. On the final call, we were told they would come in in another ten days, then got a call the next day that they had arrived several days before. In addition, the staff seem to have a habit of judging people's spending and buying behaviour by their dress or appearance, which might work in Europe but certainly does not in the US and Canada (we were in zhlubby clothes the day we made our purchase, and they did not seem eager to wait on us at first, till they realized we really liked their stuff and wanted to buy.)
