Review from Mia P.
Went back to 'ruckers with the fubby yesterday was surprised to see they upped their game even more. When you first walk in they have a new drink dispenser, which is awesome. It is one dispenser for all drinks! It is touch screen on top, in which you choose what drink you want and then there are options on flavors you want for that drink. I choose Diet Dr. Pepper, then there was the option for regular, vanilla or cherry vanilla. Amazing!
Tried the cookies and cream milk shake and loved it. They made it will real ice cream and chunks of oreos. Unlike most milk shakes that they use the pre-made ice cream.
When we got our burgers we noticed that they put some seasoning on it and let it charred a little more. Yum! They were much better, juicier and yummier than last time.
Got some ranch to dip the onion rings and was pleased to find out they make their ranch and it's not the "out of the bottle" crap.
Overall I was very pleased with my visit.1 Previous Review: Show all »

Review from Sarah M.
I've visited this location many many times over the past 5 years, and it is a pretty good Fuddruckers. What I like most about this one is how large it is: even when the line is long, there's still plenty of seating :)
Now, if you haven't been to a Fuddruckers before, lemme give you the basics. They specialize in burgers (primarily beef, but they also have boar, buffalo, and ostrich). They have special pre-made burgers, or you can just make your own, choosing between sizes 1/3, 1/2, 2/3, and 1 pound. Depending on the size, it will cost somewhere between 6-10 bucks. Cheese costs an additional dollar, and they also have other speciality toppings as well (for example, grilled mushrooms, mmm). And, if you don't like burgers for some reason, they also have other dishes like chicken strips and fish and chips.
You usually have to wait 15-20 min to get your food, but it is worth it! Definitely not the best burger I've had in my life, but it still tastes good. They bake their buns in the store and they butter them generously, so they taste AMAZING. Also, they cook your burger to order, although, WARNING, they usually cook MORE than what you say. I always order my burgers medium and they always come to me medium-well/well done. Next time, I'll try medium rare :) Anyway, the burger patty is decent too. I think it's nicely seasoned and just the right amount of juice :)
One nice thing about Fuddruckers is that they have their own condiment area. Fresh ingredients (like tomatoes, lettuce, jalepenos, salsa, onions) and sauces (malt vinegar, ketchup, mayo, mustard...). What I REALLY like is their cheese sauce!! Piping hot out of the dispenser, it goes really well with their french fries and even atop your burger :)
What I LOVE the most about Fuddruckers is their bakery!! I never have enough room to indulge in desserts after eating here, but I recently rediscovered their bakery when my friend bought cookies for the group. I ate their white chocolate macadamia nut cookie and it was SO GOOD. The cookie dough = amazing. It was cooked JUST enough to not be raw, which is my FAVORITE, I love cookies that are soft and not burnt. I think the cookies are 3 for a dollar? And if you buy a dozen, they throw in a few free cookies :) They also offer chocolate chip, sugar, and a triple chunk chocolate cookie. If you STILL have room after that, they also have ice cream, milkshakes, rice krispy squares, and brownies :)
Fuddruckers isn't the most fantastic place in the world, but I can always trust that I can come here and they will consistently have food that will fill me up and taste good. Thanks Fuddruckers!
PS. Why did they get rid of the bell that you ring when there's good service? I know they got rid of it awhile ago, but it was funny :) -

i love the burgers here. i had everything from the 1/3 to the 1 pound :D im the kind of person who loves a wholesome burger so this is what i'm looking for. the prices, eh, little pricey but i can eat a whole 1 lb burger and call it a meal. for like around 10 bucks? yeah..
i must admit the fries can taste a little inconsistent.. and one time i had sweet potato fries, it was way too salty -_- but i noticed they have a new, darker lettuce.. which is great cos i dont really like iceberg lettuce! :D oh and the fake cheese sauce and the condiment bar really tops it off.
some tips:
1. dessert menu includes:
- a brownie blast (a brownie with 3 scoops of ice cream)
- brownie a la mode (brownie with a scoop of ice cream)
- ice cream cookie (2 cookies with ice cream in between, like a sandwich)
- a hot fudge / caramel sundae
2. always watch out for the back door next to the pick up window! employees come and go through that door a lot and sometimes get careless and can hit you.
3. the cheap novelty coin machines always often don't work. it will eat your money. you then have to go to the front cashiers and ask for a refund. the bakery cashier can't open the register (unless a manager is there)
4. you get a free brownie / rice krispy treat for your birthday!
5. you can get a cold chilled mug for your beer at the bakery!
6. i find that the wi-fi doesnt work with the itouch... maybe its just mine cos its shit.. but it worked with my laptop!
7. every second tuesday of the month theres a face painting thing in the back dining room.
8. you can get your milk at the pick up window, not the bakery. -

I love Fuddruckers. I've been enjoying their burgers since I was a little kid so I have great memories of the food here. I love the simplicity. I love that they have their own butcher shop. I love that they have their own bakery. Hooray for Fuddruckers!
I always used to order the plain hamburger and fries, but now that I've tried the buffalo I've been converted. Both are good, but the buffalo is leaner and better for you. As I said earlier, the food here is very simple. The burger comes out of the kitchen plain and you can add whatever you like. The buns here are fresh-baked, toasted, buttery and delicious. They have a condiment bar so you can customize your burger with onions, lettuce, pickles, tomato, ketchup, mayo, etc. They even have free fake nacho cheese which I always put on my burger and fries. And sometimes when you ask for a cup of water, they give you the regular beverage cup so you end up getting a soda free of charge! -
Review from Joshua K.
I sometimes(see always) read this place as Fudfuckers. It cannot be helped...
...Burgers are decent and the condiment bar is pretty nifty with almost everything you could ever want on a burger. You could craft some creative burger concoctions here...or not. Anyway I don't have much more to add other than a warning.
/warning
The nachos are terribad. Avoid those things like dog shit on a sidewalk because they taste like ass! More specifically like someone farted in your mouth after every bite. If you ignore me you'll live to regret it!

This was the first time I went to Fuddruckers and I was pretty happy.
For some reason I wasn't expecting the inside to look so...carnival-ly. But it wasn't a bad thing, just unexpected. Looks like it'd be a fun place to have a party.
I did want to try one of the gamier burgers like ostrich or elk but I just stuck with a regular beef burger. I chose the Inferno 'cause I love spicy burgers. It was pretty flavorful! I'm a sucker for caramelized onions and pepperjack cheese :P! And I love that I can get as many vegetables, toppings and sauces as I want so that's always fun.
But one thing I was happy about, my burger was actually medium rare. Lately I feel like the burgers I've ordered are all a bit over than what I asked. But who knows? It could've been a fluke.
I think next time I come here I would want to try a more exotic burger. -
Review from Angelo F.
I need to go here more often... Its not the best tasting burger but as far as options and condiments, this place hits the spot!
You can choose a specialty burger and be happy. Or you can customize it according to patty size and toppings.
The advantage this place has is their condiments. A very good selection of fresh condiments and the best part, their jalapeno cheese sauce! All you need is an order of fries and just drench the heck out of them with the cheese. Take it a step further and throw some jalapenos on top! Delish!
You can get a good size meal there for under $10.
The last burger I ordered was the ribeye burger. It was cooked exactly how I wanted it (rare) and was very flavorful. I just wish it was a bit bigger! But after its all said and done, its a decent size burger. -

Fuddruckers used to be pretty high on my list because the burgers are decent and you get to layer on the toppings yourself. Oh, and I can't forget to mention unlimited cheese for fries, burgers, or whatever else you like. But with so many more burger joints popping up with amazing, or more like uhhhh-mazing breads, meats, and combos I just don't see myself coming back here for one.
But it is a good place for a group of folks so it still gets a thumbs up. -

I see some people give Fuddrucker's a low rating, but I absolutely love me some Fuddrucker's. The buns are always soft and yummy. The burgers are always cooked how we want, and I absolutely love their Buffalo sauce. I really liked their Chicken Caprese sandwich, but they only had it for a limited time. Love the fries and cheese sauce. The shakes are made from real ice cream and they fresh bake all of their buns and cookies. I think I've only had a less than stellar sandwich one time here (the chicken was a bit dry), but other than that, I always leave happy and full. It might not appeal to everyone, but I think Fuddrucker's is probably my favorite burger joint in the area.

Review from Robert F.
Pretty decent burgers for a chain place. The buns are soft and brioche-like. You can get buffalo and ostrich from time to time, and that is what I look forward to most.
Grilled chicken isnt bad either, and you really can customize everything here.
They have good hot toppings as well as fully stocked condiment bar with pickles, shredded and leaf lettuce, salsa, etc. Sauces include honey mustard, ketchup, bbq sauce, and hot melty cheese, which is what I douse my fries in when I want to get dirty with it. I like that they have large drink cups and rice krispie treats for afterwards. Overall, its a bit commercial and too much of a chain, but a pretty good corporate burger lunch. Good for groups and kids... -

Meh is the only way to describe the lame cattle call maze of theater ropes shuffling you mooing through their production line. The place is self-serve for condiments and the risk of food borne illness is great in my opinion, with brats running around sneezing on the tomatoes. Bleh. 2 stars for reasonably good shakes which saved them from a 1 star.
BTW, my 15 year old nephew earned a slap on the mouth for teaching the youngins the naughty spoonerism way to pronounce this place name. Do you think they named it that way intentionally? -
Review from Jaimee H.
PROS:
- You build your own burger. They prepare your meat and bun the way your like and you do the rest. There is a condiment bar where you can load your burger with lettuce, tomatoes, pickles, etc. There is variety of sauces beside the typical mustard and ketchup.
- You seat yourself. Many seating options from high tables, to regular tables and booths. Fits any party size.
- Great customer service. The person that took my order was kind enough to explain how the restaurant worked when i told her that this was my first time there. They frequently asked if everything was okay and if there was anything they could do for us.
CONS:
- The place did not really feel clean. The floors were sticky and the red carpet looked dirty. Looked even dirtier when they were cleaning the carpet as we were eating. -

OK I am typically a big Fuddrucker fan but last night 3-18-12 I went there with my Boyfriend for my Happy Birthday hamburger and I am sorry to say but the food was sub-par my boyfriend ordered the Elk burger which is usually very good but he said this time it was kind of gamey, my burger the free 1/3lb was kind of greasy and tasted like maybe it was cooked next to the Elk as it had an odd taste, the fries were not crisp kind of soggy and the onion rings were greasy and tasted like the oil they were cooked in was old. OK now the worse part the ladies bathroom was filthy I went in just to wash my hands before eating and I should have went up front and got our money back and went and ate somewhere else I almost got sick looking at it the trash cans were overflowing there were dirty used towels everywhere, one of the soap dispensers was broken, the counter tops soaking wet and I did't eve want to look at the toilet stalls. OMG so gross they were kind of busy but a there is no excuse for a filthy bathroom. The only good part of my B-day dinner was the buns.

Been here a few times but have forgotten to leave a review...
This place, though old is a good spot for lunch or dinner. Whether you have a party of 2 or 20, they'll be able to seat you. Lots of options, a few arcade games, plus delicious food - this place is worth a try. They've been around for decades. Must be a good reason why. -

OK, so I've been slackin' off on my Yelp reviews lately. Being a second time dad has been sucking up my time. Well, that and a rediscovery of the BBC show Top Gear.
But anywho... my wife and I came here kidless a few weeks ago. I hadn't been to a Fuddruckers in years... and the name still gives me a little inside chuckle.
It's not an upscale place, but it's comfy. It's kind of reminiscent of a Hardrock Cafe with memorabilia on the walls and such.
You order your burger and then sit down and wait for it to be brought out to you ala Sizzler. Does that make it sound better or worse? Hmm.. probably worse for some, but I worked at Sizzler during college and have fond memories. Fond until I got fired for allegedly stealing a 69 cent ice cream from the salad bar. Never mind that I had my receipt with me. But I'm not bitter. I'M NOT! But I digress...
Fuddruckers has some unusual choices for burgers like bison. And then you can customize it yourself. It's a pretty cool concept and fun. And as others have stated, the fries are pretty dang good.
The food is pretty good and the value is definitely there. I recommend it when you're near one. -

For a burger meal, it's a bit on the pricey side. but the burgers are huge! i was satisfied with just half a burger and fries.
I got the veggie burger with grilled onions and pepper jack cheese. When your order is made, you go to the condiments bar and stuff your burger with as much as you can.
I personally am a condiment QUEEEEEN. I love sauces of any kind. So when I saw there HUGE condiment bar, I was ecstatic. I stuffed my burger with onion, tomato, relish, pickles, jalapenos, lettuce, and about three different kinds of sauces. They also offer unlimited amounts of nacho cheese.
The fries weren't amazingly good but the burger was pretty darn good considering it was a vegetarian burger. In fact, my boyfriend who is a meat LOVER ate the other half of my burger because it was so tastyy.
I wish I could have ordered something from their dessert bar.. I was tempted.. but too full :x
The place would be great for kids birthday parties. In fact, there was a birthday party going on right next to me. -

I like the burgers here, but this place is getting 1 star specifically because of the music is so loud and the restaurant having such a "live" sound environment it turns the music into white noise. I've mentioned it a couple times to no avail.

Main issue here is the value. We paid $23 for a turkey burger, veggie burger, fries, onion rings and two drinks. For a place that doesn't even bring your food to you, that's way too much. The quality is okay, and I think we gladly would've paid $15. That will be our last visit to Fuddrucker's.

Not the best burger in town, and it's a bit on the spendy side but Fuddrucker's is more of a nostalgia thing for me than anything so every now and then I'll pay the extra $$ and come here.
This location opened up in 1986 and we went two days after they opened. Back then they had the actual meat hanging off the hook and you could choose your patty from the butcher's window. Nowadays they've streamlined the ordering process and you just pick your poison from the menu on the wall.
Your burger comes the way you wanted it cooked, and you go a few feet away to dress it the way you want. The seasoned potato wedges that come with it are ok, I wish they were crispier but they can be drowned in chedder or jalapeno cheddar nacho sauce and that helps to make it palatable.
The seating is a do-it-yourself deal and the decor is a throwback to the 50s and 60s, the music is a mix of 60s/70s/80s and the atmosphere is nice. It's definitely kitschy though, so if rock memorabilia isn't your thing then you may not be all that pleased. We always try and sit in the Beatles booth, I dig those guys.
The old fashioned sugar cookies are delicious, as are the old fashioned brownie. A combo is about $10 with a drink and the cookies are 71¢ each. -

This place never fails me. The burgers are pretty good and their fries are even better. I used to be able to kill a 1lb burger but those have long since passed me by. They have an assortment of patties - beef, chicken, buffalo and I hear even ostrich. You can also peer thru the window and see the meats lying there. As far as the toppings go, there's an area where you can put on your toppings and condiments. Score for jalapeño cheddar cheese. MmmM.
Also for an extra added bonus, you can purchase freshly baked cookies. I prefer the white chocolate or chocolate chip, but they also have M&M cookies too. Yumzors. -
Review from Jackie E.
I always forget how good the burgers and milkshakes are here. Fuddruckers is a great place to get a solid burger with all the condiments you want, thanks to their condiment bar. I especially like their nacho cheese!
I noticed they added "Exotic Burgers" such as Elk and Wild Boar! I've had the Wild Boar and it tasted exactly as the poster described: mild, sweet, and smoky! I have also tried their Ostrich Burger before and it is really good without being too greasy.
And their milkshakes? Ohhh their milkshakes. I'm a chocolate lover, so I usually get the chocolate shake, and it is always perfect! -
Review from Brian B.
I would have thought this was standard for a Fuddruckers, but apparently not. Drove here from the Mission Valley location because it's so much better.
Decor alone gets this one some points, but it's also much bigger and feels generally more fun.
The food is good, especially since I don't have it that often. Lots of options to choose from, and great place for kids because of the menu options, decorations, and arcade. -

I've been eating at this location for years. The food is consistently good. I almost always get the Fudd burger.
There are plenty of seats and the staff is friendly and on top of keeping the place clean.
It can get pretty busy on some days for lunch, but the line goes pretty fast and the food is ready soon too.
My only complaint would be that they tend to run out of the jalapeno cheese sauce, which goes great with their seasoned fries. -

This place is alright.
We came in and were a little surprised with the set up of the restaurant.
It was like a walk in and order kind of place.
I do wish there was a little area where we would be able to step back and look at the menu.
The worker must have known we were fuddrucker newbies so she kind of helped us walk us through the process:
-so you order your burger, and any other additional things you'd like on it (i.e. grilled onions, mushrooms, avocado, cheese..for a little more $)
-after paying you choose your seating, with a coaster buzzer type thing.
-when that goes off, it's time to pick up your burger.
-on that counter right next to it is the "condiment bar" where you can fill your burger with whatever you want..lettuce, pickles, onions, jalapenos, etc.) and put whatever sauce you want (ketchup, mayo, 3 kind of mustard, bbq sauce, and asstd. hot sauces).
It's pretty extensive for people who like their burgers a specific way.
I had a turkey burger on a wheat bun with a whopping load of veggies and tabasco. The patty was really juicy and HUGE, considering that it was a turkey patty which is usually on the small and dry side.
I ordered the combo, and the wedge fries were pretty good.
the staff was friendly, the restaurant itself was packed with American music type memorabilia.
My one major gripe though..
my flip flops kept sticking to the bottom of the floor.
Good burgers. Hopefully the next time I go here, my flip flops will have a sticky-less experience. -

I already knew that this Fudds isn't the best, but I was craving the buttery, toasted rolls they use and some fries with cheese sauce. All i wanted was a hot dog meal, but when I went inside I saw that the maximum age for the kids meals is 12, so I got the humungus dog (or whatever it's called) meal. For my son I got the kids hot dog meal. The cashier and other employees were all friendly and did their jobs well, but the food. smh. The bread on my giant hot dog was not buttery, but dry and crumbly. The fries were under seasoned and did not taste fresh. It just wasn't worth the price. I had to bribe my son with video games just to eat a fraction of his meal. Half of the video games were not working and two of the gumball machines ate my money. I usually don't rate fast food places, not even fancy fast food places like Fudds, but my 5 year old left crying.

Review from Albert W.
Ever since our hero watched the movie Idiocracy where Fuddruckers evolves slowly in a progressively less intelligent 500 year dystopian future to become "Buttfuckers", he was interested in seeing what the restaurant was actually like. It's a little bit of an Upgrayedd to a Burger King terms of ambiance and selection of burgers, but it's still not very good in the overall scheme of things.
The biggest beef our hero has with this place is that the cooks usually cook the meat too well done, which is easy to do because the patties are somewhat thin for their overall size.
PROS:
- The self-serve toppings bar isn't too bad.
- It's fairly clean and has a kitschy Americana theme to it.
- Some interesting choice of patties available such as buffalo and ostrich.
CONS:
- The wedge fries are starchy and not very good.
- The more exotic meats don't always taste so fresh.
- Buns don't hold up well to juicier toppings.
- Meat is overcooked. -
Review from Jim L.
This place is a crossover between a fast food restaurant and a sit down restaurant. You stand in line to place your order, get a number and sit down and wait for your number to be called. Ok, they actually use a pager type system....they don't actually call out a number. Regardless, I cannot say that I am a fan of schlepping my food around a restaurant because God forbid, I drop the damn thing.
The cool thing about this restaurant however is that the burgers are very good and very large. They also have a large and fresh produce section for you to dress up your burger to you liking. Their buns are fresh and there is a bakery to finish your meal off with a homemade cookie.
They have the main dining area which is rather loud and then there is an exterior dining area for larger groups.
I would like to say the service here is great but again, I'm the one schlepping the food around. However the people behind the counter are friendly.
Not a favorite...but not a bad place either. -

Prolly the best place around to get a stupendous HOT DOG, folks. Specifically called the DOGZILLA. With good reason...you need to save half for later! The bun is also fresh and delicious...as expected, as they bake their breads there.
My DH and a buddy of mine stick with the burgers. No complaints.
Fries and onion rings are both yummy. When you order a milkshake, they give you the leftovers in the steel mixing cup, too. No waste!
Decor is diner-ish/hot-roddish. Classic rock plays through the speakers (Boston, AC/DC, etc). Condiment bar is massive and the employees keep it pretty well-stocked and clean. Tables and restrooms are clean. And always service with a smile!

Sometimes in my pursuit for new restaurants I forget about little ol' Fuddruckers in Mira Mesa. But whenever I do remember I always leave full, satisfied and glad I made the trip.
Burgers are tasty and I like that you can choose from a 1/3, 1/2 or 2/3 pound patty. I usually get a 1/3 with added mushrooms and bacon. I also like getting the combo (fries and a drink) but upgrade my drink to a cookies 'n cream shake. YUM! I also love the condiment bar where you can top your burger with veggies of your choice, and also fill little paper cups with dipping sauces galore. My favorites are the jalapeno cheese and honey mustard. The price is also pretty good -- somewhere in between fast-food and sit-down. I also like that there's a huge dining area, so it's really easy for them to accommodate large groups with minimal waiting time.
The only thing that this place could work on is the atmosphere. The decor on the inside borders on cheesy, and I think a lot of good could come from a makeover! -

Fuddruckers says they are the "World's greatest hamburgers"
I'm not so sure about this statement because I can't think of anyone that I know or on yelp that thinks this place as the best burgers.
Currently they do have a variety of different types of exotic meat. They have the traditional buffalo, but they also have ostrich, elk, and and wild board. Well the ostrich isn't available until after September I believe and they were out of buffalo.
We got the elk burger. It was a little gamey for me or that lingering aftertaste of gameyness. I really can't stand it but i'm sure if you are a lamb eater you mite enjoy this burger. It is a little on the dry side since it's leaner and healthier. Price $8.99.
I got the Turkey burger. Nothing spectacular about this. Your pretty standard turkey burger. Price $5.99
I usually don't order anything on my burger because you can fill stuff up on the salad bar. They have lettuce, tomatoes, onions, relish, pica de gallo, pickles, and of course the warm CHEESE SAUCE. Now if you are asian like me, I opt out of spending 75 cents on cheese and just put the cheese sauce on it! HAHA :) They even have jalapeno cheese.
Sweet potatoes fries are also pretty standard. Not a huge fan of places were you don't get fries with your burger but oh well. Bread..they freshly bake it on site but it's doesn't make a huge difference. -

This is the second most common place that my family eats beside our living room. That being said, I'll probably write more reviews in the future. Today's experience was okay and just okay for a number of reasons. Although my family and I have shared many a birthday blowout here and almost weekly for some years.
Pros: hot cheese, condiment bar, family deal, refills on drinks, friendly staff all the time
Cons: Seating was dirty, napkin dispenser was empty, and burger for some reason wasn't piping hot although it usually is. go fig. -

So happy this place is in my neighborhood.
Love eating at burger joints, and this place always satisfies. You order when you walk in and pick up your food when you're number is called. You seat yourself and you help yourself to the toppings and soda bar. Think retro burger joint, good service and quality ingredients and this place has it all.
At times they have family specials, they have different types of meat. The prices are in between a fastfood joint and a sit down restaurant.
P.S. The cookies are pretty awesome as well. :) -
Review from Marwan A.

I'm a Fuddrucker. I worked at the Chula Vista location back in high school. You can't go wrong with the burgers, fries, spudd spice, jalapeno nacho cheese sauce. I made a slogan while I was employed there: "Fuddrucker's...best burger in the world! If you don't like it, it's your fault!" Its true if you think about it. Buns are baked fresh daily. Beef is fresh, ground daily (and one of few places you can get your burger cooked rare), and you add on whatever toppings you want. If somehow you can screw it up, you can't blame anyone else...loser.
But, today I was up in the Mira Mesa area...had lunch at Rubios. Needed dessert, so we stopped at Fudds. 2 White chocolate macadamia nut cookies, and a scoop of vanilla. LOVED it!
Why two stars Marwan? Because as I'm walking out, I see the guy behind the counter, in plain view btw, dipping some nacho chips in the soup or chili. Its alright I guess, snacking on stuff at a restaurant is part of the perks as long as its sanitary. BUT! Don't freakin' dip it straight into the main pot that you serve everyone with! AND DON'T DOUBLE DIP! I saw him do it. He looks back, I give him the evil eye...he gets the point. I doubt he'll learn his lesson tho.
SO..why not one star? I guess cuz things could have been worse. If he was urinating on the grill AND double dipping...I would definitely consider 1 star. -

Fuddruckers is glorious. We used to go there as a child when one existed in Escondido years ago and once I moved to Mira Mesa and discovered they had one too, I felt rejuvenated!
First off, when you order your meal and sit down to wait for its preparation, grab yourself a few cups of pickles and cheese and dip away. It's the perfect 'appetizer' while waiting for your entree. Just try it. So good! On to the food. The burgers are always fresh and the fries are amazing. The fact that you can dress your food with all the veggies and sauces you want makes it even better.
Fuddruckers is just a happy place. Go there and enjoy your food, the sweet decor (Beatles, Elvis, etc.) and the milkshakes. Make sure to ring the bell on your way out to let them know you loved it. (edit: they removed the clapper in the bell) -

Dear Sweet Fuddrucker's,
You are the epitome of GOOD not GREAT.
I have been to you many times, and will continue to return to you, because I look at you like the girl I have been booty calling for the last 5 years on the sneak tip:
If you were GREAT, you would be my girlfriend by now, if you were BAD, I wouldn't return. And as much as I hate to admit it, you aren't going to change, and that's ok! It's enough to keep me around for the occasional visit.
Much of the Fuddrucker's appeal to me personally is the fact that the whole place is decked out with Rock and/or Roll paraphenelia....old Elvis posters, Beatles, Stones, etc. Kudos for having good eye candy on the walls. Kudos as well for serving beer.
The food is standard fare burgers, fries, chicken strips, etc...basically stuff you can get at any Jack in The Box, but slightly better, and with a higher price tag. You pay for the atmosphere here, and the totally awesome toppings table, which is the star of the show. A huge serve yourself spread of tomatos, lettuce, pickles, onions, salsa, sauces etc.....condiment heaven.
The staff is quite friendly, which is a nice touch...not much bad I can say about them.
So, darling sweet Fuddrucker's.....let's keep our relationship where it is, and why mess with a good (not GREAT) thing? ...See ya the next time I get hornyImeanHungry .... :) -

Their burgers are juicy and flavorful, and rightfully so because of the high fat content. This is a good thing. There's nothing much worse than a bland, dry burger.
Their buns are made on site. If you get white buns, they're generously buttered and griddled.
If you want to be adventurous, they have buffalo and ostrich. No kangaroo or gator here though. This isn't Tioli's Crazee Burger.
I don't come here often, and it's probably because if I really want a good burger, I will go out of my way to look for one. If I want a cheap burger, I'll just go to Carl's or Jack in the Box. Fuddrucker's falls in this weird place where their burgers are restaurantey, but still feels fast foodey. That's why it's just aiite for me.
But get their cookies here. They're good.Listed in: Mira Mesa
