I could perhaps go broke trying every flavour. Or I could just stick to roasted rhubarb and vanilla which was the very first delectable flavour I tried. But the lime and coconut is so damn limey and coconutty. With real bits of lime and coconut, because they use, well, real lime and coconut. But the dulce de leche is likely to knock my socks off too. Does it look bad to double fist a paleta? Just today the boy and I were walking home with one of these gourmet fruit bars and the drooling looks from passers by said it all. Fruition Paletas paletas are to die for. And oh so necessary on a sunny day (or mostly overcast in today's scenario).
Fruition Paletas is at Centennial Market every Sunday and will be opening their store front on Fisgard quite soon. -

I have only had one, but I know this is the beginning of a delicious obsession... I first saw these delights at Red Fish Blue Fish, but decided against dessert. Today I discovered a (newly opened) storefront (bright green!) and had to look in. I was given directions to pass the 'popsicle stand' and when I looked at the blackboard, I was impressed with the options: roasted peach and raspberry, roasted peach and marionberry (the owner's own), coconut & lime (I've heard good things), sweet cherry yogurt, sour cherry yogurt... I ended up with the blood orange creamsicle (it spoke to me) and it did not disappoint! I considered taking a star off for the price (though artisinal, $3.25-$4.25 can get to be an expensive habit ; ), but the flavour more than makes up for it. Now... what to get next time?
