    Professional, easy to deal with.

They helped to make my move more organized.

What sold me was their wardrobe boxes. I didn't have to pack any of my clothes, I just hung them up and moved them from one closet to my new closet. Wonderful.

Frogbox ran a Groupon in May of last year, and while I'd never heard of them before that, I could immediately see the point. I'd already started anticipating the move into my new condo, and I'd looked into what buying new moving boxes would cost and was flummoxed by the prices (for cardboard boxes!) But given Toronto's bedbug issues, I didn't want to get used cardboard boxes from someone else, either.

So I bought the Groupon for Frogbox, and held onto it for the better part of  a year while waiting for my condo to be built. When it came time to finally book, the process was easy -- you can book online and they'll call you to confirm, or you can call them directly -- and the delivery times were very flexible, including evenings and weekends. They're also very good about letting you know when they're going to be there and then actually being there when they said they would -- they let me know that my pickup would be sometime around 9:30 this morning, and they buzzed my door at 9:34.

I found the boxes quite convenient for packing. Because they were all the same size and shape, they stacked nicely and very stably, so it was easy to get them out of my way while I was continuing to pack. If I had a quibble with the service, I'd say it's that the boxes are far too big to pack full of books -- they'd be way too heavy to lift -- and it would be nice if they added half-sized bins for books. I ended up just packing a layer of books in the bottom of each of my boxes so that none of them got overly heavy, but I'd have preferred not to do that.

The other interesting aspect of the service is that you're renting the boxes for a limited time. They'll easily and happily extend that time for an additional fee (which I did once, for a week, for an additional $20 for my 25 boxes) but it gives you a (not too scary because it can be moved if necessary) deadline for getting unpacked. Because you have to give the boxes back, there's no concerns about ever having that one box -- you know the one, the one that you've moved 3 times and never unpacked and you're not quite sure what's in it, but whatever it is, it can't be that important because you haven't used it in 8 years.

I chose the 1 bedroom package, which was 25 boxes and a dolly, and it wasn't quite enough boxes for my one bedroom apartment, but I had a one bedroom apartment with more than the average amount of storage in it, and a lot of that space was jammed and crammed full of things. Other than my clothing, which mostly went into suitcases, I could have used probably an additional 3-5 boxes.

My wife and I used Frogbox to move from a condo to our new townhouse about two months ago.

We saved so much time (and thus money) with the movers... and also did our part on the enviro-front, as well.

Who needs cardboard when you can borrow re-usable plastic crates??

Next move (which hopefully isn't any time soon) will DEFINITELY have FrogBox, as well.

    Thumbs up!

Toronto uses over 1,500,000 cardboard moving boxes per month just for residential moving.  While lots of them get recycled, it's still not an eco friendly way to move as recycling uses vast quantities of energy and water.  FROGBOX moving boxes are reused hundreds of times make the footprint of your move much smaller.
