Lora, the owner, has incredible talent with long thick hair. She gave me a lovely hair cut and worked a nice set of bangs into my defiant cowlicked head of hair. I love the cut and I couldn't recommend the place higher. You will be totally happy with your cut and style.

Regardless how many times they cut my hair it keeps growing. What's going on with that? Well regardless, if you want your growing hair to look it's best you'll have to pass by Fringe. Like others, I followed Laura from Grateful Head and I never looked back.

Not only is this place in my neighborhood, it is exactly what I'm looking for.
I have pale skin, green eyes, and freckles yet I have been cheated out of having naturally red hair by mother nature!! Therefore I have been a fake redhead for at least a decade. You can imagine the cost and damage to my hair I have endured. Fringe has a new dye that is Ammonia free! it's basically just a oil and water dying process! I've gone twice in a row and my hair has never been in such good condition. I'm paying the same amount for hair dying as my old salon except here I get a better cut and style and it's not frying my hair! Also Chanel (who dyes my hair) is a totally cool chic and always has interesting things to talk about!
This is my new go to salon! -

For those who know me certainly know about my absolute dislike/protest/hesitation when it comes time for me to get my hair cut. After I requested suggestion over Twitter, my friend (fellow Yelper, Amy F.) suggested I check out Fringe since it's in my neighbourhood.
Feeling impulsive one day to finally cut it, I was lucky enough to score an appointment that afternoon with one of the stylists, Chanel.
Thank the higher being for Chanel.
It has been over a week since my cut (as I need about a week to get over the shock of it all) and I absolutely love it. FINALLY! Someone who knows how to cut my thick, wavy, frizzy, long hair! No matter how I style it, it looks great. The best $60 I've spent in quite some time.
The salon itself caters to a small group of stylists, equipped with 4 cutting stations and 2 washing sinks. It is simple, clean and full of daytime light. Definitely looking forward to my next cut
Honourable Mentions:
- Chanel: cutting genius
- They use Aveda hair products! A nice selection available for sale at the front desk as well
- My fears were eased while listening to the sweet, sweet sounds of reggae -

I am so happy I decided to go to see Lesley at Fringe. She understood exactly what I wanted and did all the best techniques to get the exact look I wanted.
I have long hair and I like to wear it messy with loads of different layers the real rock and roll look, she completely understood what I wanted and more. I hate it when hairdressers make me look to pretty and end up cutting what they think looks best.
Along with her talented scissorhand skills she is real easy going, laid back and a pleasure to chat with. We even joked about how great it is when we don't wash our hair for ages and it goes real curly and looks great - that's when I knew she was the right hairdresser for me.
Hats off Lesley. -

Fringe is the best place to get your hair did. I followed hairdresser, Lora Sousa from Grateful Head to her own salon Fringe because she is so amazing!
She actually sits down on a chair to cut your hair! This way she is level with your head and her cuts are the best I have ever had! My hair grows out beautifully, to the point where I don't really need to see her all the time. I can go back in a few months and get touched up!
Lora and her coworkers are so friendly and make you feel at home. All Aveda products!
Her cuts start above $60, because she is the owner and a haircutting wizard!
Go to Fringe, you wont be disappointed! -

Hair cut #2 with Trevor.
im happy i came back :) the hair is super short now, and still pretty sexy,, not that much different than the original hair cut, which is a mini-bummer. most people can't really even tell that i had my hair cut. but it looks good, and thats what matters !1 Previous Review: Show all »
