amanda is my technician of choice at filly lilly mission, i would recommend her services to anyone!
i've visited the location 3 times now (since my last review) and since then they have been nothing short of amazing! i am definitely a frilly-fan!

I went to the Aspen location for my first Brazilian. The store was girly and had a lot of cute accessories. All of the staff were very friendly and knowledgable. The process was very fast and a lot less painful than expected. Though it's a little pricey, I was very pleased with the end results. I'll be going back for sure.

I recently went to Frilly Lilly for my first Brazilian in years. I was nervous, but my waxer Erin made me feel very comfortable. She talked with me the whole time, keeping my mind off of the pain, and she was SO quick. The end result was better than I expected and way less painful than I anticipated! I also really liked how they have the "before and after" products for you to use in the room. The price is a bit high, but when you're dealing with someone waxing your lady parts, I believe that you get what you pay for! I will absolutely be back, in fact I have another appointment booked already. Love this place!

Had a long wax at the location in Aspen (SW)- the beautician was OK, quite fast and efficient. However, the result was not 100% perfect- went home and still could see patches of hair that were missed. All in all, it was slightly better than other places. Still looking for that place that will give me that 100% satisfaction (or maybe I am just too demanding!)

I love this place. Cute house in Mission and very Girly. I can usually always get an appointment within a few days of calling and while I always go to the same gal, Erin, everyone else seems friendly. I like that they have the multiple types of wax, not all parts of the body are made equal and different waxes are better for different areas. You may balk at the price, but really, you get what you pay for.

When it comes to hair removal in delicate places, I trust Frilly Lilly! I've been going here for almost 2 years. I have received consistent friendly and professional service, particularly from Erin. You pay a bit more than the average salon for hair removal, but I have tried other places (i.e. Stillwater Spa, Curious Hair Skin & Body) which do not compare with Frilly Lilly. I think it may be the type of wax & technique used which does not seem to irritate my skin and is less painful.
Frilly Lilly also carries some lovely-smelling lotions/ butters, body mists, lip balms, bath bombs and fashion accessories. It's a good place to also pick up some yummy smelling gifts for yourself or female friends. My favorite is their pink sugar lily fragrance; it's infused with green tea and delicately smells like a cupcake. -

4/5 for Canadian standards, but 3/5 for Russian standards. That said this probably best place in Calgary, so far.
If you find better let me know.
Pricy...but than again when there is nothing better you have to pay. -

I had my first gel nails application done one week ago at Frilly Lilly- today I had them redone elsewhere!! Please do not go here.
They were horrible! Thick, uneven & bloodied cuticles was what I got. I was very dissappointed because I read good reviews but my experience was anything but good. I went to the Aspen location in Calgary and the nail tech said she had 5 years experience but I do not believe it. Frilly Lilly is an adorable little salon spa in the heart of Mission. I have only gone there so far to get the gel nails as well as a pedicure. I have always had such excellent service and all of the girls who work there are just so sweet and professional.
They carry a ton of really great smelling beauty products as well as some of fabulous accessories and purses. It is basically just a really girly place to hang out and get pampered. I know that Frilly Lilly is a chain or franchise operation but it seems that the individual owners really know how to make it unique and beautiful. I would love to go here again for some more spa services. -

Pro - The cutest waxing studio in Calgs. They do what they do and they are good at it. Rea is amazing.
Cons - It books up fast so make your appointment early. Last minute appointments are hard to come by. It's pricey but you get what you pay for. -

Okay ATTENTION all ladies out there:
Are you needing a good haircut? I mean a good haircut ... DOWN there then try Frilly Lilly's. This is a very attractive shop on 4th Street SW, which caresses you with sweet smelling bath bombs as soon as you enter the store.
Gals there are very very nice; they have great energy and assure me that the process will not hurt. Shiver!
We have four basic choices at FL, the Brazilian (nothings left, that's right nothing) the Hawaiian (aloha! Barely there) the Canadian (O Canada, perfect for the Canadian bikini) and the Alaskan (stay warm this winter, just a little off the sides). Great senses of humour, a very relaxing place and oh so popular; there was a line up of girls waiting and others I could hear inside giggling.
The rooms are very dainty, trimmed with pink and clean linen; you won't have any problem feeling oh so special when you get your ``special`` cut.
And while you are waiting check out all the delicious bath bombs: birthday cake, chocolate fudge, lemon meringue, mandarin twist, marshmallow cream, strawberry shortcake just to name a few! Feel the luxury of these bombs and smell like them too!
Frilly Lilly also give you options on manis and pedis and for you overtly furry girls out there, chin, brow and back waxing. Ahemmmm

The rooms are nice and clean. The staff is friendly and professional.
This place books up quickly; last minute appointments are possible but it's best to plan ahead. The Frilly Lilly products are cute. The shop also sells nice accessories (necklace, earrings, bracelets, hats...)
The prices are in line with other aesthetics shops. They offer packages if you're getting many services at once. -

5 STARS I recently moved here from Montreal and my nails were shot. Really hurting me as some tips had come off I called and the receptionist was sooooo nice! It was Monday, and there was no space till Thursday. I am so sorry forgot the sweet receptionist's name as she deserves kudos as she called the manicurist and the manicurist came in for me on a Monday, when it was her day off. Manicurist deserves kudos. They were all so pleasant and friendly. This kind of service just does not happen. It is also the first place I have been to that you smell the alcohol that she has her tools dipped into!!! Feels safe as well. GREAT PLACE!!!!
