Friar's in tucked into the corner of Calgary's prestigious Glenmore Landing across from the towering homes that dot the communities of Bayview and Pumphill.
Here, authentic British pub cuisine can be found, including one of the finest Shepard's pies in the city. They offer over a dozen draught beers on tap that mostly come from local Calgary brewers.
The crowd here is an older one, reflecting the demographics of the neighbourhood. But you can always find a few youths ducking away from the hustle of Calgary's street for some delicious food and not-so-expensive pints of cold beer. Darts and live folk music is occasionally offered at Friar's. And if Saint Brendon is cooking, you're destined for a fabulous meal.
