This place is everything you want (and expect) in a coffee/tea cafe. They have a fair selection of coffee, an AWESOME selection of tea as well as many clean tables to sit at, comfy chairs to sit in, or areas to stand and wait (if you're the impatient type).
The food selection is also well-rounded. They serve bagel sandwiches that are NOT pre-made, but are fresh and tasty. They also sell many different types of baked goods and fruit as well.
I had the poppyseed cake when I was there.......ohhhhhhh god. It was good.Listed in: Oui to Tea!

I'm not entirely sure what I did to piss her off. What ever it was, it was pretty serious.
I would consider myself to be an overly friendly person. Having lived in the Maritimes most of my life, I'm accustomed to treating all my baristas like old school friends. My 'hello, how are you' was returned by a cold 'what d'you want?' and when I asked whether the barista recommended the cookie or lemon loaf, she replied 'the loaf is a lot more delicious but the cookie is only a dollar'. She then proceeded to place the cookie in a bag (without first asking whether that's what I actually wanted or not!!) - it wasn't by the way. On the recommendation of the previous Yelper, I wanted to try the loaf.
So there I was attempting to enjoy my latte and loaf as best as I could. I don't know how she managed to make me feel thoroughly unwanted without even saying a word. But could I feel the waves of hatred billowing.
After about thirty minutes, I hurried out of the cafe. I'm accustomed to saying 'Bye, thank you' before I leave any establishment. When I did, the barista looked up and at me. Then back down.
I don't care how good your loaf is. All I could taste was bitterness.Listed in: Your Spiteful Fix for the Day!

Came across this place randomly. Good service, plenty of seating, decent coffee. Wifi is free, though for some reason it wasn't working on my laptop. Nice if you can score a table by the windows so you can people watch :)

trust me your not alone... i know exactly which barista you are talking about thats why i never go down in the afternoon. Thankfully the staff in the morning are WONDERFUL and awesome. The owner is a really nice guy too..he should tell that one girl to stop scaring away all the customers. I went once and she litterally tossed me out because it was 5:30 and they close at 6. 10 minutes to 6 she was putting up the chairs and making so much noise it was obvious she wanted me and my friend out. She also seemed insulted she didnt get a tip. WTH
