Amazing guys.  I just bought a 600 dollar laptop for 230 dollars.  Okay so what that there are six buttons missing I will be buying them from ebay for 4 dollars a piece.  The place is clean, prices are higher but i would prefer shopping here than walmart because at least as a corporation they treat their employees better.

The guy who monitors the cameras is in cahoots with the guys breaking into the cars in the parking lot. twice my car was broken into in thier parking lot and both times for some reason the camera was moved from facing the parking lot to looking up in the sky.(must have accidentally moved it before going on break was his excuse both times. I wont go back there as now i have over 2 grand in damages to my vehicle as well as missing stereo equipment.

I really like Fred Meyers, they have a nice selection of different products and you can find pretty much anything for your shopping needs. I don't really do my grocery shopping here but sometimes I like to switch it up and buy some here for a change. They have a pretty good food selection and their deli isn't too bad either. Nice place to go for general shopping needs.

Fred Meyer's are a PNW institution.

This location in Burien is near the airport and so I often swing by after a trip out of town to re-stock on groceries.

They also have a BECU atm outside of it which is convenient (part of COOP network for all credit unions with no fees)

I love Fred Meyer! However, this location is not my favorite because of two reasons. Firstly, the parking lot is always really crowded and not set up well. I've actually witnessed multiple fender benders there. Second, there is only one automatic door on the grocery entrance of the store which makes it hard for people to get in and out with huge carts. I don't know who designed that, but it was not a good idea at all.

Gigantic parking lot and everything you need under one roof. Somewhat in need of repairs, but the eclectic merchandise here could easily keep you inside for an hour or so. Buy everything from groceries to logs to legos... and as a bonus you have a Tully's coffee shop at the entrance.

I was so thrilled by the shoe department, raced in the store 5 minutes before they closed to get get comfortable shoes for a job I was starting the following morning which required me to be on my feet all day. The gal in the shoe department was so great (I think her name was Heather) and I apologized that I rolled in right before closing time. She told me "not a problem!" and helped me pick out a pair of comfy shoes and I was out of there in about 7 minutes. wow!!

Then, as I race toward the registers as they are shutting the lights down in the store, the older african american lady that was running the customer service desk scowls at me and bellows at me "We're closed and announced it 15 minutes ago! I don't even think the registers are open anymore! Good luck finding one that's open" and she kept ranting as I got over to an open register, WITH 3 people in line, and got the nicest cashier. I told the cashier that the gal in the shoe department was so helpful and so quick, but that the lady in customer service was so rude and she should can it. The cashier chuckled and told me that she is like that and I'm not the only person to complain about her. lol

Anyways, I love Freddies, but if you have an ol' hag who's rude to customers, who works in customer service, she might need to be reminded that she can leave her attitude at home where she can complain to her 17 cats. Because of her, I took off 2 stars.

The five stars I give this mega giant store rests not on its ability to stock everything from diamonds to dog food, but on the fact I had looked EVERYWHERE for Tofuti cream cheese and they had it.

Sure I do most of my shopping here anyways since I can grab something for the garden or a small tool I need for work. But finding Tofuti *HUGE GRIN*  I cannot have milk products and was going through serious cream cheese/bagel withdrawal. I tried the sister Kroger stores (QFC even on cap hill where you would think this would be in stock) but no... The One stop ghetto shop had what I needed.

The meat department at this Freddies is really nice too. Always helpful and letting you know what they have just cut or is really good.

I also like that you DO NOT need a customer loyalty card to get the lowest prices. They will give you a rebate if you spend enough money but cut everyone in on the good prices. I find that very nice in a day in age where your supposed to carry 2000000 loyalty cards around to get the sale price.

Is this my favorite Fred Meyer? Nope. Is it a bad Fred Meyer? Not at all.

It's conveniently located. It has everything I need. It's clean and well-stocked. The cashiers are friendly and do remember you.

My only complaint? When I try to do a Yelp check-in, standing in the middle of the store, it says I'm "too far away." Other than that, it's great. The prices are great, the people are great, the selection is great. Great!

This has got to be one of the more ghetto Fred Meyer's out there.  It sits on the cusp of Burien and White Center - so it goes to figure.  Don't get me wrong, I love both Burien and White Center; but sometimes shopping in the area makes you feel like you are in Bruit circa 1982.

So - yes, this Freddie's does have it all, a real one stop shopping experience.  But like fine knives or cookware - a one-stop experience is probably not best.

Great store to shop for almost anything. The hours are very convenient, you get great discounts on gas and the prices are way better than Safeway and QFC. Wish they had more stores in the area.

I end up doing most of my grocery shopping here.  Sometimes the crowd can be not so great, but in general nothing to worry about.  Overall, the lines are generally not super long, they keep stuff in stock, and you don't have to have a savings card to get the sale prices.

The customer service people are pretty good if you can find someone to help you.  I've never tried one of their "customer service" phones that are sprinkled throughout the store, but I imagine it would be useful.  However, I prefer to hunt a real person down.

The food is decently priced and they have lots of other random things in the department store area.  It's kind of nice to have the chance to run and grab some socks while grocery shopping if necessary.

I always have to wait in line FOREVER here.  I don't think I've ever had a quick experience.

The head honcho woman is always extremely rude to me.  Always.  No matter what time of day it is.  It's sad to think that a woman who leads all the other customer service people is an absolute AWFUL model.

They always give me a hard time when I'm trying to complete a purchase order.

Besides the supervisor person, a lot of the other workers are very nice and professional.

Rarely go here but, on saturday we dropped to look a BBq and none of the seats had seat belts for kids?  This seemed wierd because you'd think they would be in to safety and all.  I mentioned something to a person who looked like a manager and they did not really seem to care.  Also the checkout lady was SO slow it was painful.

Don't go if your intrested in buckling up those kids.

Good selection - ample parking - majority of cashiers look like tatooed excons or candidates for rehab.  Pharmacy is very professional and courteous.

A friend  of mine took a look at the seed packets I recently bought there ( buy two get one free) and informed me I could make ore money selling packaged seeds than most people charge for Mary Jane.

It' legal too, but since the price already comes stamped on the packets and I don't mind tossing some cold hard cash towards Ed Hume's of Puyallup (four bucks)  for some hardy perennials.

I had quite the adventure yesterday  that entailed three trips to two separate Fred Meyers- however that had nothing to do with any of the stores. In fact they remained polite and helpful until the very  end and beyond of operating hours.

I'll probably end up coming back before seven days have passed. It's like  I'm diabetic and Freddie's is my meds.  I didn't even think I liked shopping that much. Apparently I do.

Would pretty much echo what Catherine and David R wrote. Great inventory (I'm not sure who goes to any Freddy's for "fine" anything? so I'm basing my rating on the shopping I do when I need stuff on the cheap and don't want to run all over the area to buy several things). Store's easy to move around in and has a decent garden section. Avoid this store late afternoons and any time on weekends because it gets crazy busy, check out is slooooooooooooooooowwwww and the parking lot gets like bumper cars.  If you go before noon on a weekday, you'll find it a very pleasant experience. Lots of my neighbors are out and about then and the store in the mornings is frequented by a delightful sample of the many sweet older folks who live in Burien and putter in their lovely yards and gardens and have coffee together.   Amy (of RENTON) would fit right in.
