I started using Franks for a trim then went and had my haircut short as the heat was getting to me, $22 and a 5 minute wait for what I had been paying $70 and a 2 week in advance appointment at a set time, as that famous California politician said "I'll Be Back".

Frank has since retired and it's now run by his daughter. Frank's has been around since the 50's and has been an institution on south Granville for many years. It was time for my bi-weekly head shave and I couldn't stand the thot of doing it again myself, standing in front of the mirror contorting my body into unusual positions just so I can get the hair on the back of my head. So today was the day and I headed off to Frank's to get a buzz. Walked in, sat down, waiting about 3 mins, and I was next up on the block. It was quick, easy, and no contortion required.
The best part about my experience was how I was treated. I showed up thinking I could use my plastic to get me a hair cut, so I inquired as to whether they were cash only. The reply was "yes." so I proceeded to head out the door and explained I needed to run to the bank to get some cash. She stopped me mid sentence and said she had no problem cutting my hair and I could drop by with the money afterwards... OMG does this ever happen anymore.. this thing called trust? I was completely blown away and totally impressed and have decided that from now on I will be visiting the crew, for my crew, over at franks every two weeks.

I first went to Franks to get the mop cropped. I had a huge nappy ass head of hair and wanted to rock the low maintenance buzz cut.
Plus I was drawn by the history...the older I get the farther I get from my who gives a rat's butt attitude and become more nostalgic.
Anyways bottom line if for the price and timeliness of the just showing up and waiting no more than 20 minutes (rarely more than 10) Franks rocks it!
They won't give you the Brad Pitt look but they do plenty fine!
