I have been coming here for a long time, back even when there was the Olde English Parlour or Kingsbridge Crossing. It's what you expect from a pub in a University town. There is generally live music on Friday and Saturdays, as the other reviewer noted, and it does get crowded (so go early if you want any of the limited number of available seats). The service can be problematic when it gets busy. But, overall a nice place to have a drink and party with friends.

Fox and Fiddle is an incredibly typical university pub.
The place does NOT have that cozy pub feel to it, in fact, for the size of the place, there is very little seating, but there is a lot of standing room and that's sort of what they expect people will want to do on a Friday or Saturday night. They have live music, with a little dance floor in front of it that, without fail, people will have people dancing on it after not too long.
The clientele is 19+ and because of that they check everyone's I.D's, no matter how old you look, they will also make you stand in line outside, no matter how busy it is inside after a certain time in the evening (to be fair, so will most bars aimed at the university crowd in Waterloo).
The bathrooms here are always pretty gross. The food is pretty typical. Nothing on the menu that stands out in a positive or negative way either.
If you're in university, it's worth checking out, if you're older than that, I recommend skipping this place and checking out one of the other many pubs on King St.Listed in: Waterloo
