Walked into the F&F one cold evening with Bryan G and his partner Geoff F. Upon entering, I was immediately taken by a) their incredible warmth (the pub's not Bryan and Geoff) and b) the aroma of something we could not define. Was it like the inside of a head shop or a gentlemen's club? Organic, kind of floral, but kind of spicy too. It wasn't offensive but we actually sat upstairs to soften the blow of this mystery smell, and where -- it was promised -- it would be even warmer.
Right they were. It was hot as a crotch up there.
We ordered up some pints and at the server's reco grabbed a pound of pineapple and curry wings. I was dubious about the Guinness, but no one ever pours it right. As for the wings, not only did they come out in less than five minutes, they were saucy, enormous, and delicious. Good call, pub dude. Two wings in I realized, THIS is what the pub smells like. Pineapple and curry pack an olfactory punch.
Obligatory Title Pun: Dum, dum, diddle, to be your FIDDLE.
Menu Readability: Exactly the same as every other pub in the city.
Need to mention: They have a rooftop patio.
What this place teaches me about myself: That's another ABBA OTP Susan C!Listed in: Lions and Tigers and Bears, Pubs in Toronto

Cheap beer and good wings. What's not to like?
$10 domestic pitchers all day on Mondays and half-price wings.
$10 domestic pitchers until 5:00 every day.
And, Wednesdays, I think, they have a beer and burger special for like $8.
Though I'm not Yelp's resident wing expert, I'd stand behind the Fox's salt-and-pepper wings against any other dry rub wings in the city.
The staff are a little stand-off'ish at first, but warm up with regular visits.
If that's all you're looking for, consider this a 3.5 to 4 star review, but if you're looking for something bigger and better, then move along. -

I thought this bar was super cool, and definitely one of the best I encountered in Toronto. We spent most of our time on the second level, so if the first is anything different I can't really speak to it, although I did notice they had a nice large outdoor patio down there (signaled by the rising stacks of cigarette smoke) when I was on my way in.
The bar is very spacious, with another outdoor patio on the second level that looked like it could hold quite a large party. We were here on Monday night for the football game and they had a huge screen draped down the biggest wall showing the game, a nice surprise to see our sports displayed so prominently outside of the States. The bar service was always pretty quick, even with it being extremely crowded.
There seemed to be some really great deals going on for the Monday night game, although I didn't take advantage of any of them as I had already eaten and didn't want to drink piss beer. Apparently the pitchers of Molson or some other Canadian stuff was only about $10, while a regular pint (I was drinking Black & Tans) ran $6 or $7. I believe someone also said they sold wings by the pound, and they were apparently really cheap as well. I didn't eat any but the ones I saw leftover were huge, much better than what's offered across the street at Hooters.Listed in: I Need A Drink!, We Love the Night, Traversing Through Toronto

Although this place is packed on their deals nights, I cannot bring myself to say it is a place I like. The restaurant itself is fitting into a house type of setting, with two floors and live music at night. The place is all wood with not much else in the way of spicing it up. I would say this is more of a dive bar (but not that bad) than a restaurant.
Below is an incomplete list of their specials:
Sunday & Monday - 1/2 price chicken wings, domestic draft jugs $10
Tuesday - burger & fries $5, domestic bottles $3 (bud, blue, canadian, export, molson dry, coors light)
Now don't get me wrong, these deals are amazing, but the choice of beers doesn't do it for me. Although I liked the burger, my wife had a roast beef sandwich which was on white sandwich bread and mothered with an extremely salty and poor tasting gravy.
This place is good for a drinking place if you like the pub type of feel when drinking. -

Absolutely terrible! Worst Fox and Fiddle ever! Was forced upstairs because of seating and it was a frigging sauna up there. Had to leave early and find a new spot because of it. Worst part is we sat there for almost an hour with no service at all sweating our brains out. Would never go back. Would fight very strongly against anybody who wanted to spend a bar-night out at this F n' F location.
Even though my experience was negative and limited I can't comment on the quality of their drinks since I never got the chance to have one! -

What a great discovery for a saturday night! Just beside the Scotiabank Theatre, lies this average pub. It has everything you expect from your average pub: cheap greasy food, cheap drinks, hockey games on the TV and an unexpected clean and decent washroom.
Their drinks are well served (I've seen pubs serving the smallest doses of vodka you can imagine) and don't forget to indulge yourself and ask for the DEEP FUDGE CHOCOLATE BROWNIE. It's very hidden on the menu, but it's AWESOME and GINOURMOUS.
I really like this kind of pub and I enjoyed my night there.Listed in: Party Time

The Fox and Fiddle is in an awkward location downtown. It's a two-storey pub complex with two main bars on each floor, multiple TVs showing sports (as you'd imagine) and a full run of taps larger than most pubs in Toronto. What makes it awkward is that it's found at the base of John Street just past all of the hip and chic restaurants and nightclubs and stands out a bit because of it. I guess the saving grace is that it finds itself across the street from Hooters (http://www.yelp.ca/biz...) if that can act as a bit of a transition.
It looks and feels like a British Pub and has a decent downstairs patio somewhat but not quite entirely guarded from the bustle of John Street. The upstairs patio is a patio but more often than not, used as a smoking area. The pub runs a series of specials every night of the week with the pinnacle being the Sunday night that offers not only live comedy at 10:00pm every Sunday night (for the insomniacs, students, and unemployable among us) but also $10 pitchers of domestic draft and half-price wings. The wings are battered and if you enjoy the spicier side of life, you'll find the suicide sauce is not just hot but actually tasty. I'm glad to see the kitchen opted for flavour over fire. If you want to start your work week in a deficit situation, you could think of worse options. -

Really didn't get the full experience of this place since I only stopped in for a pint and to play some pool while I killed time before a leafs game. Good variety on tap, had an Amsterdam blond which was very good. Friendly waitstaff, but rough pool table at best, but that's not a huge issue.

Your standard "pub", nothing too fancy. The food was OK, but a little over done.
