Review from Todd V.
Toronto, ON
Initially, you can dismiss this place as a franchise pub as part of the Fox and Fiddle family. It's in the middle of strip mall laden Mississauga where there's not much colour or beauty. They have a patio, but the view of the major streets and the parking lot pretty much give you the sense that this is now referred to as the "smoking section". It's inside that it gets better.
Towing the Fox and Fiddle line on décor, it succeeds in looking consistent with the other locations that I've seen. Pretty similar. No surprises. There's a ton of TVs for sports, NTN trivia, a dance floor with a DJ booth for the weekends, a jukebox and a few dart boards for their nights to house the local league. A crazy Mississauga weekend it sounds like. It's the staff and off-menu items that sell the place. Examine the specials board when you order to see if there's anything above the standard fare that will probably provide a fresher taste. Not that there's anything wrong with the menu items. They're all pretty standard pub fare with a decent burger and club sandwich on offer.
Nothing crazy here but also nothing truly worth packing up the kids in Whitby and driving out to. If you're meeting someone out there in the neighbourhood (as I tend to when I'm out there), this is a decent place to do so.
