This place has been in the Citi Plaza for about a year now and my first visit was a few weeks ago. It's a shame that Goodlife Fitness is a floor below because when you first walk in, a whiff of chlorine greets you. But a friendly server does as well. I had tunnel vision with the menu as I really wanted a burger, so I didn't even consider other items. Although, I was impressed to see quite the selection -- the usual pub fare, some with a British flare (the bangers and mash, liver & onions, shepherd's pie), but also curries!
My cheeseburger tasted like a frozen patty with "grill marks" that had been cooked on a flat top grill. It had no "oomph" and that bummed me out. And the "pub chips" (the thicker cut fries) could've been fresher...or used another minute or two in the deep fryer. I did like the side of gravy, though.
I'd consider going back to try something else on the menu, but it's not a destination I would think of first, which is making my choices in downtown London even slimmer.
