When you are having an eyebrow emergency that rivals Ernie & Bert I turn to Yelp for a quick fix in my area. Kat recently raved about the Four Seasons Nails & Spa at Royal York and Bloor so I decided to hop on the subway and attempt a walk-in.
I entered the small store and the first thing I noticed was the customer to esthetician ratio! There was a very impressive row of 7 women getting simultaneous manicures and behind them 5 woman getting pedicures.
I requested an eyebrow and upper lip wax and was immediately taken to a back room. The service was cheap ($18 total for lip and eyebrow) and thorough. Despite getting a bit of wax in my hairline (which she cleaned up), the service was good thorough and totally affordable.
I would recommend this place to my fellow yelpers. -

I stumbled upon this place while coming back from a doctor's appointment and I'm so glad I did. Tucked away just steps away from Royal York subway in Etobicoke, Four Seasons (not affiliated with the hotel chain) is an amazing nail bar.
The Japanese and Korean ladies that run the place work tirelessly to treat several dozen women at a time, simultaneously doing your manicure AND pedicure - meaning you're out the door in 30-40 minutes instead of having to wait separately for one person to do each set of nails.
The salon uses Essie and OPI polishes and there is a positively MONSTROUS selection available. We're easily talking 100+ colours. Any colour you can imagine. I highly recommend Cajun Shrimp, Big Apple Red, Lincoln Park After Dark (duh) and Russian Navy if you're into bold colours. -

Four Seasons is my go to place for a Mani/Pedi because it is fast, good and not too expensive.
The staff is friendly and efficient not to mention that if you book an appointment they are always on time.
..btw, Four Seasons does take walk in's but I wouldn't recommend this on a Saturday.
