Review from Chris S.
The rooms were slightly outdated but the bed was AMAZING. Like sleeping on a dream wrapped in a cloud. The toiletries are also great from what my wife tells me. Some extra little bottles made their way back into the America, so that's a positive.
The service was impeccable, as you'd expect. The valet service was a bit pricey ($40/day), but very quick and very attentive. The staff was extremely courteous and thoughtful.
The best part of the hotel is how insulated the rooms are to noise. We found it to be a very quiet stay and that makes a huge difference. No amount of flash and iPod docks and warm bidets are going to compensate for a great night of sleep. -

Let's break it down:
Pro's:
Location is excellent and central to everything. Staff is excellent (as always at Four Seasons). The lobby bar has excellent cocktails and oysters, but you'll have to pay. Rates were actually not all that bad for a Four Seasons in a downtown location. And the gym is pretty solid.
Con's:
Badly dated rooms (yeah, that knocks it all the way down to 3 stars).
Would I go back? For the same price, I'm guessing I could find a more up to date facility in the same location... so, no. -
Review from Justin L.
This is probably one of our favorite places we have stayed at in Vancouver. Located in the heart of downtown adjacent to Pacific Centre shopping mall, the convenience of this spot is really hard to beat. The bars, restaurants & shopping of Robson & Granville are all within minutes by foot.
Extra pluses were the excellent gym and pool facility. The free use of the 24hr business center with free internet was nice. There's in-room WiFi but you have to pay extra for that.
If you rent a car, prepare to pay $40/day for valet parking. You can also choose to self-park in the pay parking lot of Pacific Centre but this option actually is not much cheaper and not quite as convenient as valet.
Hotel room itself was comfortable and was always kept in tip-top shape by housekeeping.
When hunger strikes or you just want to grab some drinks without straying from the hotel, Yew restaurant in the Four Seasons is a really excellent choice. Weekend brunch is particularly nice.
Given the great comprehensive experience provided by the Four Seasons, we will definitely be staying here again during our future trips to Van.Listed in: Oh Canada :)

3.5 stars.
This is a nice hotel with the perfect downtown location. On top of the shopping mall.
However, I found it to be a bit dated and in need of some TLC and modernization. Everything was just a little better than ok hence 3.5 stars.
The bed and pilllows were very comfortable though, that punched above it's 3.5 stars. The rest was pretty much 3.5 stars inlcuding the poorly laid out indoor/outdoor pool.Comment from Robert C. of Four Seasons Hotel 11/29/2011

Completely overrated.
I was disappointed when I came to this hotel because my friends and I had a great experience at the Four Seasons in Whistler. The Vancouver hotel was just very expensive, for a dated hotel (mid 70's I'm guessing) with cracked paint and popcorn ceilings.
The Hyatt or Westin are much cheaper, much newer and much nicer. The area is great for shopping but I think the traveler has many options around this area in Vancouver. I'd recommend the other hotels (except Sutton) and don't believe the pictures on both websites. -

Still 4 stars. Stayed at the Four Seasons again, this time my trip was more memorable than the last.
They gave us a panoramic view room (which apparently meant views of the condo towers and a bit of the ocean). This was lost on us since the weather was foul and rained most of the time. Room was spacious and elegant.
I agree with Ben P's review, the shower/tub's 3/4 glass door conceptually looks cool, but in reality had a huge draft which made showering in the morning a bit unpleasant.
I was also not a fan of paying for internet access when most hotels offer it for free.
The first night was uncomfortable for us. The curtains didn't close properly, the mattress was too soft and the pillows were too poofy. The next day we talked to the front desk and they promptly dispatched a team and fixed the wayward curtains, gave us foam pillows, and changed our mattress.
Front desk and Concierge as usual, provided great service.
Minus 1 star for saying that their address is on Georgia Street which was useless on our GPS. In reality it's on Howe street. Why the confusion for tourists? Is it because Georgia sounds better than Howe?Listed in: Vancouver

Review from Gourmet Princessa L.
I booked 5 nights at the Four Seasons thru http://Expedia.com and got an incredible deal for the end of September this year. The room rate came out to be $125 per night for a double deluxe room with 2 queen beds. I had wanted a king bed, but that wasn't available on Expedia. Not too worry about that, booked it anyway.
When I arrived at the hotel to check-in, I told the front desk manager I wanted a king bed, but that option wasn't available on Expedia. I told him that it will be a waste to have 2 queen beds when we only needed 1. He was very appereciative of my concerns and told me he would do his best. When he handed me the keys to the room, he told me that he did better by upgrading me to a 1 bedroom suite. I was stunned! That was a triple upgrade from a deluxe king room. I was besides myself -- a 1 bedroom suite at the Four Seasons? No way! That was so amazing!
The room was everything I expected and more. It was huge. The suite was bigger than my first apartment after I graduated from college (no joke!). It has a nice bar with the $200 capuccino machine and a $100 milk frofer and complimentary milk in the refrigerator. Both the bedroom and the living room has a big plasma TV (again bigger than my current TV at home). 2 bathrooms, 2 walk-in closets, a full dining table set that sits 4, a writing desk and a nice living room with comfortable sofas and arm chair. All of these sits on the 24 floor in downtown Vancouver. The view was amazing, but of course it was more amazing when I was looking down from my suite!
The hotel's gym is fully equiped with state of the art workout equipment. I signed up for a 1-hour complimentary personal training session with a fitness trainer and got my butts whipped into shape and sweated a bucket. The heated pool is inside/outside. The outside portion of the pool overlook some of Vancouver's beautiful skyline like the Lookout Observation Tower. It was so relaxing to swim under the stars at night.
I had breakfast at the hotel's restauarant and the food was outsanding. Services all around was impeccable and the staff paid full attention to details and they put the comfort of the guests first. The housekeeper came by my room twise a day (that I know of when I was there) to make sure I have fresh milk, towels and replenished L'Occitane bath products in the bathroom. It was luxurious treatment all the way.
I usually don't spend too much time in the hotel whenever I travel, but this time I found myself spending a lot of time in the suite and the hotel because it was just so luxurious I didn't have to go any where. I was so glad that I booked all 5 nights at the Four Season and be pampered from head to toe. This would be my second good hotel stay with the Four Seasons this year (first one was Palo Alto) and now I am researching for the Four Seasons in Costa Rica and Argentina for my future trips. I'm sure it will be equally luxurious. Can't wait! -

For my birthday I decided to take a trip to Vancouver for a week with the bf. We had heard good reviews about Four Seasons and so decided to book or stay there.
The night before our flight, I called ahead to let them know we would be checking in late because of our flight. Ray? who answered the phone was very courteous and professional. He even offered to put us up in a higher room. AWESOME!!
So we finally got to our hotel around 7:30pm and were promptly checked in (can't remember her name but she had an Australian accent). She was very nice to make the process quick seeing as how we were tired from the trip and showed us some quick sight seeing options and places to visit.
We got a room on the 10th floor. It wasn't very high, but it wasn't bad. We had a corner room with great views of Downtown and the harbour. The rooms had plush beds, you literally melted right into it. The bathroom was huge with plenty of counter space, and overall the room was clean and spot on.
Another plus about this location is that it's located above the Pacific Centre Mall. So shopping and food is just a couple steps away.
The only flaw would be that the windows aren't very sound proof. So even though we were on the 10th floor, the street noise was quite horrendous. -
Review from Adam B.
I'm a complete freak for hotel rooms and that's normally the most important thing to me when rating a hotel. So, I'm a little surprised to find myself giving 5 stars to a hotel that has nice, but not amazing, rooms. However, everything else here is so slick and perfect that I have to give it the top rating.
Don't get me wrong, the rooms aren't bad or anything. They're not huge, but certainly not cramped either. The linens are all of high quality and the furniture is comfortable, especially the wonderful beds. The recent renovation has freshened up everything and the design scheme is restful, with beige background and either rust or sea-green accents. The big flat-screen worked well and had a good selection of channels. Bathroom is standard-issue; about the size of Marriott but dressed up with nicer toiletries and countertop. I don't understand why the glass door doesn't cover the full length of the tub, but it wasn't a problem. Views are pretty good once you get above the twelfth floor or so; lots of interesting city-scapes, plus if you're lucky a mountain/water view.
Location is great, central to everything--a twenty-minute walk would take you to just about anywhere in the downtown area you wanted to go, including Stanley Park. Other hotels nearby (in case you want to bar- or restaurant-hop) include the Fairmont Vancouver (great lobby lounge), the Met right across the street, and the Shangri-La, where MARKET by Jean-Georges has an amazing $32 prix-fixe lunch (try the braised short rib with apple and jalapeno). There's a skytrain stop in the mall attached to the 4S, but it can be confusing to find your way to it and back the first time.
The hotel has both a lower-level street lobby and a second-floor lobby up an escalator which is where check-in and the restaurant are. These are done in a nice mix of both traditional and contemporary Asian decor. The restaurant, Yew, is phenomenal. It serves all three meals and has a lounge area, a large bar, and the restaurant proper. We found the service there to be sensational and sincere and the food was tops. It's a very interesting menu and everything we had was perfectly prepared. I can recommend the paella, the halibut, the buffalo meatballs in pasta with a great bleu cheese, and the appetizer of maple prawns (drool).
Service in other areas of the hotel was also wonderful, from the all-over-it bell staff (never a wait for a taxi, never opened a door, bags taken and retrieved swiftly) to the attentive front desk. Those folks will take time in meeting any room preferences that they can, gladly change American to Canadian currency and even gave us customs forms when they realized we were headed back to the States.
Another great feature of the hotel is fourth-floor pool/fitness center/garden. Good equipment, locker rooms including saunas, and a truly nice rooftop garden with waterfalls, streams, bridges, and plantings plus interesting views of downtown including the Top of Vancouver revolving restaurant where the food isn't so good but the views are.
This was a terrific home base for our four days in Vancouver and everything was handled so smoothly that there was never any worry or stress. -

Watch as I boldly don't give the Four Seasons 5 stars. Here's why.
1. When I'm already paying Four Seasons' prices for my room, charging me for wireless internet is an unnecessary boot to the butt. Red Roof Inn throws that stuff in for free. Or so the commercials say, as I wouldn't stay at one for reasons unrelated to their "free internet" policy but closely related to their "screaming children running wild in the halls" policy.
2. My "Deluxe City View King" room looked like....basically every room I've ever had at any major metropolitan upscale hotel. Westin, W, Intercontinental, whatever---this was no better than any of them, and not as good as some.
3. The valets couldn't get a car up to the front door in any less than 15 minutes. Is this a nit-picky complaint? Absolutely. But when you are the Four Seasons, and when you charge like they do, I have a right to expect that you can get me my car in 5 minutes. The freaking garage is attached to the hotel, people!
4. Although the tub/shower combo with the half-glass, half-door-that-ends- 2-feet-from-the-back-wall thing LOOKS neat, in practice you realize that the reason 99.99999999% of all showers have a door and/or curtain that extends ALL the way from one wall to the other is that, if you don't, you get a really unpleasant draft. My delicate tuckus was getting all cold, which is not what I need in the morning.
Bottom line: it's a nice hotel. It's expensive. I did not walk away as impressed as I was expecting to be. Next time, I'll go Intercontinental or Westin. -

Customer Service is King here.
Came on a company trip, and was fortunate to stay at the Four Seasons. The hotel is situated right next to the City Centre Mall and actually has a direct entrance to the mall.
Located conveniently in the Downtown area, you aren't more than 15-20 minutes away from any of the "districts" in the Downtown area by foot.
The only drawback is that some of the rooms have an unfortunate view of the massive construction going on in around town.
I had a slight mishap in my room and after letting the manager know of the small problem, we were upgraded to a mini suite. Everything about the Four Seasons says elegant and comfort, from the plush carpeting to the flat screen TV's to the infamous beds.
This is the only hotel I've seen with 3/4 of a shower door. Sort of an art deco touch but a nice one at that.
I would definitely stay here again and highly recommend it. -

Got to attend the BCIT Alumni Association distinguished alumni awards gala at the Four Season's last night.
We had the most exquisite dinner! The service was like a well choreographed and complicated machine... they had to do the courses between awards and speeches, and the timing was incredible. You never had to strain to hear the presentations due to clanking dishes.
All 475 people were served efficiently, and at the end of the meal, the coffee options included a choice of regular coffee, tea and decaf... but you could also get espresso, latte or cappuccino! For 475 people! Are they insane?? They pulled it off with class.
The hotel itself is lovely, and the loss of a star is the long wait for valet after a big event. We knew this from last year and parked somewhere else.
Highly recommend for a big function... these guys know what they are doing. -

Was up here for a party, thought it'll be nice place to hangout.
Service = was great, sort of what you expect from a high end hotel
Ambiance = Love the pool, the fruits in the water was a great touch!
Food = n/a
Price = $$$$
Favorite = Gotta say location and gym!
Worst = Didn't have toothpaste, what kind of high end hotel don't have toothpaste in stock
Final Say = Safe yourself a couple hundred and stay at the Hyatt Rengency, location just as good! -

Haven't been to or even stayed at the Four Seasons forever, now it was the time of year to do some corporate stuff so I decided to accommodate some guests at the FS again. I was imagining that after the 'Olympic Renovations' something huge would evolve out of this dated but very nice and centrally located property. Unfortunately I was proven wrong.
The Rooms are nice but not spectacular, though I understand that Four Seasons has some sort of an understatement and not the 'bling' effect, this I know from all my stays at FS properties around the world. But I was honestly a bit disappointed. Especially since Chartwell's closed down there is not really anything that is making up for it.
On the positive side: The pool/gym facilities are nice, the staff is still very professional and also they have the FS typical L'Occitane Bath Amenities.
Really hard to say who fit's in the picture of the clientel, they always have shiny cars in the front parking spots but I would probably rather have my parents or high yield clients stay there where I do not want to jinx the experience regarding the service. For a leisure weekend stay on my own or with company, most likely the Shangri-La would get my business. Though I have to say the pricing for this hotel is very reasonable compared to other Four Seasons properties - probably for a reason though.
Bon Voyage,

When my sister was in town on business, she invited me to come and stay at her hotel. I was excited to stay at the Four Seasons, but it didn't really live up to my expectations. The room was like any other that I've stayed at in Hyatts, Sheratons, and Marriotts. I was hoping for something more and based on just the room, I'd give Four Seasons 3 stars.
The extra star comes in for the amenities and the service. Go to the gym just so that you can drink their variety of fruit and herb infused water, which is complimentary. Yummy! I wanted to keep working out so that I'd get thirsty again. The bar at YEW is also really nice with a great selection of drinks and excellent service.
The service from the front desk is top notch too. I checked out with my sister and then on my way home realized that I'd left my house keys in the hotel room. I called my sister and asked her to alert the front desk. When I returned to the hotel, they were expecting me and gave me a new key to get back into the room. I'm sure that at a hotel with lesser service, this would have been a much bigger and painful production. -

This review is more from an events and catering standpoint. I often use the Four Seasons for events and am consistently pleased with the quality of the catering and banquet staff's service. Although, yes, the room and hotel in generally are a little dated, the f & b here is much better than most hotels in the city. Which probably relates directly to the fantastic Yew restaurant located at this property. If you're looking to plan a seemless event and want to work with amazing professionals then look no further!

The Four Seasons is a solid chain with great customer service. I'm a fan, but to be honest, I would only stay here as a business expense. (I can be a bit cheap when it comes to my non-business accomodations... not Super 8 kinda cheap, but as long as it's clean, convenient and safe, I'm pretty happy!)
The location is great (near the Vancouver Art Gallery) and gets bonus points from me since it's connected right to Pacific Centre and walking distance to many of my fave stores downtown.
Regular rooms are average in decor and average size. Beds are nice and comfortable. Bonus points for having some L'Occitane toiletries too... I must admit that I love toiletries in nice hotels and have been able to not buy soap or lotion for years because of hotel stays!)
Solid 4 star hotel but as mentioned, it's strictly business travel for me to stay here - rooms start at $250/night. -

As always we had a great stay at the FS Vancouver. The restaurant and bar are excellent. Perfect almost. However that is where the FS experience stopped. Room on 27th floor was spacious but the bathroom was very average.
Not the norm at the FS. The pool is dated and the service here was poor. Seriously needs investment here.
Check in was straight forward but the guys on door just seem to be lacking in the basic understanding of their function. Again not what the FS is all about.
Washrooms in public area on 2nd floor were unnecessarily untidy with paper towel all over the place and it was not a busy time.
Three visits to the concierge. Two excellent and one was extremely poor.
Rating is really 3.5 but could not give this FS a 4. Somehow the restaurant and bar are operating at a different level.
1/2 price bottles of wine on Sunday was much appreciated. As was the flexibility to have 1/2 the bottle of any wine any night. Very good idea and we had fun with it. -

I often get the privilege of checking out the city's hotels when my family is in Vancouver on business. Although I didn't actually sleep here, I checked the place out (thoroughly), including their room service.
This is one of the city's top hotels, so with that comes some pretty steep expectations. It's harder to get more convenient with this downtown location -- I mean, it's attached to the Pacific Centre Mall! You don't even have to brave the rain to gain access to all that shopping! It's also home to the new, sexy (expensive) Yew Restaurant + Bar.
Complaints? It costs $15 for 24 hours of Internet service; $1.40 plus tax for a local call; there's no free newspaper; no chocolate or mints on the pillows; and no art on the walls of the bedroom, only one small piece in the bathroom.
There is nothing in the room to make a hot drink. You may have complimentary tea or coffee in the health club or the lobby from 5:30 am until the restaurant opens (around 10am). We wanted afternoon tea and to relax in the room, so we ordered tea from room service. They said it would take 15 minutes. It took 25 and cost $6 for each pot of tea, plus tax, plus 15% gratuity (included), plus $4 room service charge. Want cookies with your tea? $16 for 9.
They will give you an umbrella and shine your shoes for free, so that's something. But is it enough for the price of the rooms? I'll leave that up to you. -

Caveat: I stayed here on business, so not paying my own way.
The Four Seasons was super shwank. Our rooms were pretty reasonable (negotiated biz rates) given how posh. I had a mini-suite with two rooms and two bathrooms and pretty awesome floor-to-ceiling windows with views of Downtown. NICE!
The service is incredible here and I would highly recommend staying if you can get a good deal. -

Kudos to Princess cruise for having us start our journey in this hotel. After some friendly chatting with the receptionist, we were upgraded to a corner suite with a view of the park below.
The complimentary shoe shine service is nice but the lack of free internet that you can get at any motel was a little frustrating.
The bed was soft and pillowie and the room nice and spacious. Wonderful place and would definitely stay here again. -

Totally pleasant stay at the hotel. Centrally located in downtown Vancouver (with lots of restaurant/food options), good restaurant on site, and near good shopping. Staff was really nice and rooms were very clean. Was a bit worried when I saw my friend's King-bed room but was pleasantly suprised how roomy the actual room was.

This is one of the best Four Seasons I have had the pleasure of staying in. The location of this hotel is perfect and convenient to downtown Vancouver. We received a very good rate and we also were given a nice room that was very spacious. Our room decor was nice, kind of generic and restful I would say and the bed was very comfortable. I was however disappointed in the cleanliness of the bathroom. There was urine on the base of the toilet that was very noticeable & I called down and asked that someone come up and clean it off !! I know gross which is why I always bring the pocket sized Lysol wipes with me to wipe out the tub!!
They promptly sent housekeeping up with a manager & took care of it. A half hour later room service showed up with complimentary wine from the manager! That was quite nice and we didn't expect that. Otherwise the room was clean and it seemed fresh as in newly painted and decorated. The gym here is really nice and has some very good equipment to use and it was great to be able to do our workouts we'd been doing for the last 9 months.
We did eat at the restaurant Yew and we liked it very much which was a very nice surprise.
The service at this hotel is very good and the ambiance is peaceful & relaxing. The concierge was so helpful in helping us locate the different places we needed to go and also told is about some other spots to check out. I would definitely stay here again. All in all a very good experience. -

On the corner of Georgia and Howe and hugging the glass dome entrance of the Pan Pacific Mall, the Four Season's makes it's mark for elegant luxurious stay in Vancouver.
The lobby is outfitted with contemporary furniture, but it has that old world classy feel still. Valets wait outside and open the doors for you. One up the escalator, the check-in is right at the front. The very new and super beautiful Yew restaurant and bar is on the left while Chartwell's is on the right. The rooms are large, with giant king sized beds and plush sheets and towels. The gym and pool are also great. -
Review from Eric H.
Very expensive, but somehow it didn't feel accommodating.
Pluses:
+ admirably quiet
+ room was clean
+ bed was very comfortable.
Minuses:
- They charge $12/day for Internet access, which is infuriating; at cheaper places it's generally free.
- No charm; building is institutional
- Nothing delightful
So overall, not _bad_, but just way overpriced. -
Review from Sheryl S.
Overall, can't complain about my stay at the Four Seasons. I had a special rate so it was 100% worthwhile but at the normal prices, I don't think this would be my first choice to stay.
As is the standard with any Four Seasons, service is exceptional, detail-oriented and the beds are amazing. We had a Deluxe Room on the 26th Floor which was very spacious and comfortable.
The building though seems a bit run-down and the views aren't spectacular. It is a standard city hotel with a fancy name in my opinion. The internet use fee is definitely high and they don't offer a lot of ammenities compared to other Four Season locations. -
Review from Lauren E.
There are 4 things that I look for in the hotels I stay at:
1. Customer Service - This is first and utmost important. Pretty much anything can be resolved with excellent customer service, as far as I'm concerned.
4. Cleanliness - I want to be able to eat off the ground.. in the bathroom.. or anywhere! LOL
3. Comfort - If I'm comfy, I'm usually happy.
4. Convenience and value - If I am staying at a $300 p/night hotel, I shouldn't be paying $15-$25 p/night for Internet.. etc.
The Four Seasons Hotel in Vancouver has excellent customer service.. They will cater to your every need. The bed was so comfortable I didn't want to get up! L'OCCITANE BATH PRODUCTS... I love it!! The room was quiet and had a hi-def TV and DVD player. All in all it was a comfortable room.
Negatives:
$16.95 a night for high-speed Internet. That's just not right. How much does it cost them? Other hotels will do this and I just have to wonder... how do they sleep at night? This is highway robbery!!
The bath/shower is not completely enclosed. I don't have a problem with the open showers.. when they are big and grand. This was a regular sized bathtub with a half glass door. I nicked myself shaving my legs a few times because of the goosebumps!
Unless you are ordering something from room service... you'll need to leave the hotel to get simple things like aspirin and bottled water.
Thank you Four Seasons! All in all, you get 4 stars. -
Review from Blair E.
Ok, Its a nice hotel; great service, good restaurant, nice Gym and Pool.
But my pet peeves; NO COFFEE Machine in the room!!!! , but you can request a machine (nice but come-on) - also 2nd (&3rd) bag of coffee cost $10, Valet Only (~$30), bfast ~$30... and what's with the front desk/ check in with the "Room Key???" you'll know when you go. PS: they don't just pass it to you over the counter (like ever other hotel) - they walk around the desk (~20feet long), and hand deliver it to you - WTF, I Just want to go to my room :) - can be funny if you have a sense of humor.
Some rooms great view, some not so much.
If you can skip the bfast in the hotel, hit the "Take 5" coffee shop just inside Pacific Ctr - Good quick meal and Great Coffee. -
Review from Ben W.
Stayed for two nights. Close to everything. A mall is right down below the hotel. The view from my room is unfortunately bad (there is construction going on across the street). Free coffee and sweets in the morning. Service people are very polite.
Because of a conference, my rate at the hotel is quite reasonable. I am not sure what the normal rate will be. If you can get a discount, I'd recommend this hotel to you. -
Review from Bob K.
What can I say? I got a room across from construction and requested a room with a view. Got moved 3 times which was the charm. The registration desk was extremely pleasant and helpful even tho I was probably a pain. They gave me the top floor room with an incredible view of the mountains. The Banquet manager for the meeting rooms was outstanding and well as everyone there. I would book a room here in a heartbeat.

Review from Danny H.
We drove up from Bellevue Saturday and were greeted by a courteous valet who even offered to put the top up on my wife's Porsche Boxster...he took care of everything; as it should be....Alex, the manager checked us in and and during the process mentioned Yew. We had drinks at Yew in mid-August and were very impressed by the restaurant....Alex mentioned the cheesecake which is one of his favorites. We'll see.
We upgraded to a suite and loved every minute of our stay. The bed was to die for, the amenities, what you'd expect from a hotel like the FS. The bathrooms though not as big as some, were larger than most and very well appointed. I loved that the workout area was near the pool too...nice touch!
As for Yew? We love the decor and service. The food is a culinary delight....very well presented I might add. We had Sunday brunch and with the 50% off on wines every Sunday, we couldn't resist and had two bottles of Champagne. We decided to have dinner there as well and the staff re-corked our second bottle champagne and had it waiting at our table, chilled and ready to go when we arrived for dinner. David Lew, was our waiter for dinner and is very knowledgable on their food and wine menu. Ask for David, you won't be sorry. Oh yes, the de-constructed cheesecake is awesome too. Alex was right.
And whenever I called for my car prior to departing the room, it was downstairs waiting for me. Took less than 5 minutes! And that my friends, is SERVICE. On Sunday, our second day, I ran into the valet that helped us the day before and he addressed me by my last name when he saw me on the street. I like that too! That is worth the extra dollars in my book...It's about service and both my wife and I were treated like a king and queen!
We've stayed at the Westin and Hyatt in Vancouver this past summer but never again. It's Four Seasons in Vancouver from now on....The Four Seasons made my weekend that much more enjoyable and in fact, we almost stayed one more night just to enjoy being pampered.
Thank you Four Seasons, Vancouver! -

A few weeks ago, I went to Vancouver BC with a friend for a long weekend. I always stay here and always will. I think it's one of the best hotels in the city. The service is great, the view is great, you have access to the Mall and it's a classy, luxurious and elegant place to be. The rooms are more than adequate and comfortable...what more could you want.

I spent way too much time at this hotel.
Right across the street from the TD tower and connected to the Pacific Centre shops, this is the prime spot for celeb-spotting (I once saw Keanu Reeves hanging out at the lobby with some nondescript people), boring conferences and power breakfasts (although I chose my lovely Bean Around The World on Mainland St any day).
And whoever designed the hotel must've had me in mind - the hotel has a back door that leads to Pacific Centre shopping mall. I have found said door to be quite useful when I had to alleviate my depression caused by the cold sleet and icy rain the Vancouver winter is famous for.Listed in: Vancouver on an expense…

I was so disappointed with this Four Seasons. We had just come from the Four Seasons in Whistler (which is amazing, if you haven't been, go, NOW) and stayed at this one for a couple nights. The hotel was old, the amenities were far and few between, and while the staff was friendly, I was not impressed. This hotel desperately needs a remodel. I also had dirty sheets when I got there which was disgusting and while they did come in and fix it and provide a fruit bowl, it did not make up for the quality difference of our usual stays at the Four Seasons. We stayed at the Four Seasons in Whistler and Seattle all within the same trip and the quality at those was what we expect on our vacations and this was a huge let down. I was already so sad to leave Whistler, and this made it so much worse. Also, we were facing construction, so all we saw was side views of the city and a huge construction building. The restaurant was okay, but not impressive. I will never stay here again and definitely will recommend other gorgeous hotels I saw close by while shopping.

Extremely poor customer service (which is what the brand is supposedly famous for?!)
We found a flashlight in our room, accompanied by a letter informing us the power/plumbing would be shut off from 1-5am and that the water might come out brown upon turning it back on (you'd think reception would've mentioned something to this effect when we checked in!). We decided to explain our disappointment to the manager, and he replied - with no apology - "And did you have plans during those hours?" We said no, we didn't, but had we been aware of the power/plumbing outage ahead of time, it was unlikely we would've gone ahead with the booking. He went on to explain that we hadn't been notified because we'd booked through a third party travel agent -- implying we would've received a higher level of service had we booked directly with them. We -- not the manager -- then asked whether there was anything Four Seasons could do to make our stay more comfortable. He said he could upgrade our room, which we noted would have the same maintenance issue. We then asked for a meal voucher, and he agreed to cover breakfast. While this may have been a fair adjustment, the indifferent service (not to mention the grandmotherly room decor) are reason enough for us never to book at a Four Seasons again!! -

Great service but rooms are small and noisy (construction going on across the street). We have a reduced rate but would not stay here if we had to pay the standard rate. Hotel is clean but tired. You are charged 12.99 for Internet access whereas other Four Seasons don't charge. Food in restaurant is delicious.

We found a great deal for a trip to Vancouver which included the Four Seasons. After staying here for three nights, we learned how efficient everything was around the hotel. It's attached to the skytrain terminal as well as the Pacific Center (their underground shopping center). Similar to the Mandarin Oriental in Boston. There was even a food court right downstairs. The hotels use Loccitane which we LOVED. We have plenty of mini bottles at our place now. They're great at maintaining the rooms once, sometimes even twice a day. We were also able to leave our bags there after we checked out so we kill some time before our flight. I was a bit mislead by someone at the concierge desk about directions to a dessert place but it was alright. It wasn't too important. On my last night, the entire hotel's electricity was shut down for almost 6 hours due to maintenance. It was quite interesting because I think someone was stuck in the elevator. I woke up to a man yelling "Look at me . . . I'm also a firefighter". Even if I opened the door to see what was going on, I wouldn't be able to see with the flashlight provided to us. Yes, everyone got a flashlight to get around. Water wasn't even accessible to us until the morning. Quite an interesting experience.
