Review from Laura C.
Toronto, ON
I'm back again here for training taking place in one of their smaller boardrooms.
So much better than last time. No more round tables, square office style desks. Out room is a bit small, but fits us nicely (about 20 people).
The food here is much better than across the street (Holiday Inn). Except for the 'asian food' things were quite tasty. We had Italian, Greek, Mexican themes . Best was the make your own burrito day with yummy roasted veggies, and marinated chicken. They even gave a great quinoa salad on day!
For dessert, there was a very sweet baklava and we get cookies and snacks in the middle of the day.
In the morning, we even have a toaster with bagels, fruits and muffins, with all the amenities.
The restaurant folks is really good at collecting plates, and delivering food and we had no issue.
There's a thermostat in the room, but careful not to sit by the windows as it's drafty.
They've optimized the hotel as a great corporate training area, filled with white boards/filp charts and a great layout.Listed in: FEB 2012 - 30 days non food…

This part of the review is about the restaurant. I won't even dignify it with an added business.

Okay, this place isn't THAT bad. The rooms are clean enough. Everything works. Easy to get to. Cheap.
A lot of people complain about the food here, but they actually have two things that I used to order when I stayed here a while ago, over and over again:
- Butter chicken: http://www.flickr.com/...
- Key lime cheesecake: http://www.flickr.com/... (it doesn't always come with raspberry dressing, but you could ask them for it)
Sorry the photos look all vintage and stuff... back then, I thought that stuff was cool :'( Well, at least I grew out of that phase. -

Great location right off the 401. Clean and cheap. Comfortable beds, free Wifi. Book through Priceline and its as low as 50/night.
I will return. At this price, I could care less about the restaurant. After all, your are in Mississauga, the home of many great ethnic places. -

I've been coming to this hotel for a good 4-5 times a year for the past 2 years, and I have to say that it's still maintained its freshness since the first time I visited. With the exception of a few stains along the hallway carpets, the hotel is clean.
My husband and I frequent the Toronto/GTA for random weekend getaways or for special occasions. This time we brought my visiting Mom from California for 2 nights. Since I booked 2 rooms with my AAA card, we were upgraded to King Deluxe rooms. My Mom is a pretty picky person when it comes to lodging and typically does not like to sleep in a King room because it seems too big for her, but even she commented that the room size was "just right" - not feeling exorbitantly big nor too small. I have always felt the same way, and that's one of the reasons why sleep quality is great.
The rooms are tastefully designed with a neutral color palette, accented by a dark bamboo wood finish along the walls and for the headboard. The light fixtures have a minimal silver finish that flank each side of the bed, and with a nice flat screen LCD TV (in the deluxe rooms), you really feel at home. The curtains are a soft tan color and really block out the outside light for sweet dreams.
In addition to a really comfortable bed (a bit on the firmer side, but just imagine that it's slightly softer than a tempurpedic) there is a nice size sofa for you to lounge on while you surf using their free wi-fi. There's a long desk that is situated along the wall in front of the bed that you can plug in for wired access if you prefer to work off a desk. The chair is almost like a Herman Miller in design, and very comfortable and ergonomic to sit in. Most importantly, the connection speed is very fast and it's nice to be able to have the flexibility to surf wired or wireless. Especially if there are two of you in the room, one can be at the desk, and one can be on the bed or the sofa. :)
The bathroom is in a rectangular layout, so it is a bit more tight with 2 people in it, but not bad at all. I love the water pressure here, and that the water temperature has a broad range: you can go from really cold to really hot! Too many times has it happened that I've been somewhere and I turn the water up all the way to the warm side and it's still lukewarm. Granite counter tops that complement the rest of the room colors create a nice cohesive and comforting look to the room.
I can't comment on the breakfast here, as I normally bring my own breakfast foods, but having a mini fridge and microwave certainly come in handy to re-heat leftovers, make oatmeal, store milk, water and fruits.
I would highly recommend this place as it has a nice modern/contemporary feel to it, and service is always pretty good. I've never had any problems having my requests granted, and since I have sensitive skin, never having a reaction to the bedding and towels are great. There was only one time that we were placed on the 4th floor and the internet did not work. That was probably the only snafu that I've experienced during my stay here. You are only 20 minutes from downtown Toronto and about 10 minutes to the center of Mississauga and Square One Mall. Since this place is in an industrial/business park area, there aren't any places to eat within walking distance. However, if you drive down about 5 miles south on Erin Mills Pkwy., there is a nice Thai restaurant in the Erin Mills Town Center called Spring Rolls and for your breakfast options, there is a new McDonald's on the corner of Millcreek and Erin Mills Pkwy. That one is about a 2 minute drive.
Other than that, everything has been great! Oh yeah, free parking and bottled water is always a great bonus. :)
One tip: Get a corner room and use AAA/CAA for discounts.Listed in: Traveling through Canada

This place truly surprised me! I expected way less than what I found. The rooms are spacious, clean with a up to date interior. The beds are very comfortable. Free wifi, pool and close to shopping & restaurants. Toronto is a 40 minute drive. I am happy!!

Nice hotel, easy to use free WiFi. Don't need to stay here often, but like to borrow their WiFi while on the run in the area.
