For anyone who is unfortunate enough to be in a collision or require autobody work, I recommend Fort Rouge Autobody. The staff are very friendly and professional. But more importantly, they are honest. I have dealt with Fort Rouge on a previous issue (non-collision related) and was very impressed that their staff took the time to look at my car and explain the "true" cause of the problem I had with my car. Every other autobody shop looked at the car for 15 seconds before giving me an estimate. I appreciated the knowledgeable service here at Fort Rouge because they explained the problem in a thorough and courteous manner. I hate rolling up to these car places, because I always feel like they will try to take advantage of my lack of car knowledge or tell me to talk it over with my husband. Yes, I've had mechanics tell me that!
So when someone hit my car this past winter, I knew exactly where I would take my car. It took a while for me to get an appointment but that could be related to higher volumes at their business and/or delays from ordering parts in. The damage on my car didn't require immediate attention since my car was still drivable so it didn't really bother me. They provided a courtesy car, it was a very bare bones and basic car but it was a compact so that helped minimize the gas expense. The only drawback of the courtesy car is probably the cleaning solution they used. The disinfectant smell in this car was very overpowering so I had to drive with the window open the entire time!
Otherwise, my car looks great and I am happy to get my car back! Service from everyone I encountered was always friendly and sincere. -

It was with great sadness I had a massive car accident where the driver's side window and body were completely dented and destroyed. An already shocking event, I was quite concerned on who would have the skills and abilities to recreate and re engineer this area on my European sports car. The work involved new glass, new body work, an actuator for the window, plastic and related bumper work, among other areas. There was also much consultation with the automobile manufacturer and other resources were involved when appropriate.
Fort Rouge Auto Body delivered beyond expectation in terms of craftsmanship, attention to detail and service. I was able to secure a free of charge loaner vehicle during this period of rebuilding, which provided me with much relief and transition ease. Even if there were some slight questions, Fort Rouge went beyond the call of duty to repair and reassess the situation at hand. I would also like to add they do a great job at cleaning the car both at an exterior and interior level.
I would highly recommend Fort Rouge Auto Body!
