    At Forest Peoples Crafts we met a wonderful woman Pauline Kuhn. She has a small shop full of many things that she herself bought from Kenya.

    She adheres to a strictly fair trade principal, meeting with the artists and making sure that they are treated with respect for their hard work.  

    This shop offers us not just the opportunity to buy wonderfully handcrafted goods, but also the chance to speak with someone who has seen first hand the way many Africans live. She tells the stories of their struggles to survive each day.

    Pauline's passion is to speak to the public about poverty in Kenya at public events and educational forums.

    We felt honoured to meet her yesterday when she had just returned from Kenya and shared some of her many stories with us. This is a warm and giving person who you can feel great about buying something special from. Visit this shop when you have a chance.
