The cupcakes here are delicious! There are many different options - including a bacon cupcake.
My absolute fave is the salted caramel - YUM!!
My friends and I were at William's Landing for a birthday dinner the other night and we had them delivered in time for dessert. Great service! -

got TWO coupons here from Groupon, $11 for a box of their cake balls. 50%
I can only redeem one at a time.
So I emailed them and asked if I could use both coupons on the same day, please please please, because I live way too far.
On the day, the server rudely said, "No...."
Someone responded my email and said (within 48 hours), "Sure, just ask the manager if there's enough stock that day."
:( My next visit was on the last day the coupon was valid for. They were out of stock and I had to make a third trip for this! It really was too far....
But the cake balls were definitely amazing!! My favourites were red velvet, grasshopper, and cookies and cream. -

I was For the Love of Cake for the most recent Iron Cupcake competition they hosted. Their shop is quite cute and nicely organized. I wanted to sample a variety of their cupcakes; I ordered a 6-pack of their mini cupcakes. Unfortunately, they only had 3 flavours available after a big order was purchase before me. For a 6-pack of mini cupcakes, it was $10 including tax. Not bad, considering it is within the similar price range of other cupcake shops in the city.
Their cupcakes are soft and moist, the icing is average. Overall, it was an above average cupcake.
If you are in the Liberty Village area, it is worth stopping in and trying out their cupcake.
Side note: They make some awesome custom cakes; if you are looking for a cake for a special occasion, For the Love of Cake is definitely a place worth checking out.Listed in: Liberty Village, Cupcakes

A bunch of us Yelpers came here a couple summers ago for a cupcake crawl. Somehow I missed having a cupcake here and only had a drink so I needed to make a trip back to make a proper review.
After remembering everyone squee'ing over the grasshopper cupcake I decided to give it a shot, though the Guinness cupcake the shop was promoting for St Paddy's day was enticing.
My cake came in a little individual cup with a lid to protect it from the elements. I gingerly carried it with me over to Panago where I was going to have lunch. Once I ordered my pizza I sat down and popped the top and let the minty scent waft into my nose. I hear your scoffs as you read this, saying to yourself "Dessert first?!". Yeah that's right, I'm a rebel.
I decided to not take my usual approach by making a cupcake sandwich and just bite in. The cake was extremely moist and almost fell apart in my hands. The icing had a good amount of mint flavour, not overpowering. What blew me away was to get to the centre of the cake to discover a chocolate filling. I'm not 100% sure what it was, but it seemed like a pudding. Delightful.
I wish these guys were a little more accessible and not tucked away in Liberty Village so I could visit more often. -

I got a 6 pack as a bday present and I LOVED the Vanilla with the pink buttercream frosting. It was Barbie pink and tasted delish, whats not to love? The cake was so moist and so yummy. mmmmmmmmmmmmm
the vanilla takes the cake! -

You know what? this place was just ok and I am totally indifferent to their cupcakes! I by no means find them gross, but at the same time I have never had a craving for this place even though I work just a few blocks away.
The selection is interesting but after trying a few mini ones I sort of got over it an gave away the rest. This is clearly an example of personal taste not jiving with a product. Would I recommend this place to a cupcake lover? Sure... but they aren't for me... which is probably best in the long run :-) -

I finally stopped into For the Love of Cake. I'd been avoiding this cake and cupcake shop - their cakes/cupcakes just never looked or sounded very good to me, and I hate a disappointing cupcake! Well, it was a Saturday afternoon and a cupcake seemed like just the ticket, so I decided to go ahead and try it. I asked the counter person what she recommended, and she said "vanilla or chocolate base?" Oh lord. *deep sigh* I despise cupcake places that use 2 types of cake and just make different "flavours" with frosting. I asked if they were all the same cake, and she said that lemon and eggnog were the only other unique cupcakes. Great, I'll take one lemon and one eggnog.
On first bite, these cupcakes were dry, mealy, grainy and way more like muffins than cakes. So disappointing. On Sat afternoon, I can't see these being day old? But they tasted day old. On to frosting - The eggnog frosting was rather tasty, but left my mouth feeling coated and icky. The lemon "meringue" frosting was not good. Second bite, and you get into... mushy goo in the middle of the cupcake?? This is the filled cupcake gimmicky thing, and it's GROSS! The goo was cold and congealed in texture. The eggnog goo was just... no. The lemon curd was absolutely THE WORST LEMON CURD EVER. WORST!!! It was all citric bite and no lemon flavour, like it was made of pure chemicals and nothing good to eat.
I should have trusted my instincts and just skipped this cupcake spot. See my cupcake list for my cupcake recommendations!Listed in: Cupcakes

Purchased 12 cupcakes for our company's Christmas lunch. All were excellent - my favourite was the Cookie Dough cupcake which is a cupcake that really tastes like cookie dough.
I'm not yet a connoisseur of fine cupcakes but I can appreciate a good cupcake and these were the best I've ever had. -

I wanted to love it. I mean, it's cupcakes with surprise centres! But unfortunately, it didn't blow me away. It was good, don't get me wrong...but it wasn't great. I had a coupon for 6 cupcakes, so I made the trip in. I had a bit of difficulty finding it, but maybe that's just because I'm not familiar with Liberty Village. The shop itself was very cute, and showed the cupcakes well. It wasn't difficult for me to make my choices - Grasshopper (chocolate mint), rocky road, chocolate raspberry, PB&C (chocolate and peanut butter), salted caramel, and I had to try one of the mancakes - Guinness Chocolate. Amazingly, I'm not actually a big fan of chocolate cake, I usually prefer vanilla. I didn't realize until after I'd left that every single cupcake I'd chosen was chocolate.
I headed to my boyfriends with the intention of splitting them, because I knew there was no way I was going to be able to finish them all myself. I wanted to cut the cakes in half so that we could each taste them, but that proved difficult - the centre was much thicker than I'd anticipated, so it often came out of the cupcake with the knife. I would have preferred something more gooey, more like a lava cake filling. My favourite cake was probably the salted caramel, just because that's not something I've ever tried before. It was an interesting flavour combination.
A conversation with my boyfriend revealed that he hates chocolate and mint (I know, he's crazy). According to him, the mint overpowers the chocolate and blah blah blah... So I was especially excited to try the Grasshopper, to prove him wrong. But the mint in that thing just about knocked me over. It was awful! It was like eating toothpaste. I guzzled back about a half litre of milk after one bite. I gave it one more bite to redeem itself, but no such luck.
All the other flavours were good, but not great. I just didn't find that the flavour combinations popped as much as I'd hoped they would. I would give it three stars, but that Grasshopper unfortunately cuts off a whole star for me. -

One of the best cupcake shops I have been to while on my cupcake crawl this last march break. One I would make agin and agin if I had more time, to make it from scarbough too. Everything about the place makes me excited. The super nice staff, the cute shop they have, the many flavours and not over priced!
Guiness Mancake : chocolate cupcake filled with liqure and topped with guiness icing. Both the cake and icing was amazing and was approx $ 3.00.
Maple Bacon Mancakes : If you love maple, bacon and cake just try this....your mouth will thank you. It had maple flavoured icing with pieces of bacon inside. Cupcake was filled with fresh blueberry sauce and pieces of bacon. Very moist, icing melted in your mouth, and agin approx 3 bucks.
I would have tried more but I could olny carry so many cupcake boxes while on my cupcake crawl, so I will be back to try more soon. -

This place is addictive! The frequent buyer card forces me to try other flavours I wouldn't normally choose. Great idea!
I really love the Chocolate Raspberry.
I ordered a few boxes for an event last fall and bring them to get togethers at friends' homes and they are always a hit! -
Review from Yvonne T.
I have never been a huge cupcake fan, but my sister has always loved them. From the ones you buy from the groceries store, to the ones purchased from specialty bakery shops... she just adores cupcakes. I've always thought that cupcakes were better-marketed muffins? Kind of like the No Name Brand vs. Kraft? My sister always seemed to enjoy them, even if they were the crappy store-bought ones.
Continuing on my mission to use up purchased vouchers prior to their expiry led me to For the Love of Cake. I have tried cupcakes from Bobbette & Belle, and The Cupcake Shoppe. The ones from the former wowed me, the ones from the latter, not so much? So I guess you could say that I had mixed feelings about cupcakes.
I had 2 vouchers that were good for half a dozen cupcakes each. I kept a half dozen for me, and gifted the other half.
I ordered:
Red Velvet
Tiramisu
Very Vanilla
Pecan Pie
Chocolate Hazelnut (Gluten-Free)
Chocolate Banana
The cost of a cupcake is usually $2.50 each, which means a half dozen will set you back $15.
So how were the cupcakes? Moist and delicious! There is nothing worse than a dry cupcake. The Red Velvet is topped with a light cream cheese icing and to my surprise there was a piece of rich chocolate surprise underneath the cream cheese, just wedged into the cupcake. The Very Vanillahad a buttercream icing, which I didn't care too much for as I am not usually a fan of buttercream for its lack of versatility in terms of texture. The cupcake possessed a very subtle vanilla flavour to it.
They have a stamp card system. You get one stamp for every cupcake flavour you purchase, and after you have tried all the flavours, you get a free half dozen of cupcakes free! I did the math, this would mean that you would have to have consumed $45 worth of cupcakes before redemption... I don't like how that adds up, both in calories or in dollars.
Verdict:
For the Love of Cake is definitely one of the better cupcake shops in Toronto. Their creations are visually appealing and gastronomically gratifying. From a customer service perspective, the staff were friendly and helpful. Unfortunately, the girl behind the counter was a bit sloppy and ended up dropping the Lemon Meringue that I ordered with my second Groupon.
It is also worth mentioning that they offer up a line of gluten-free cupcakes.
One thing I did notice is that their cupcakes are not uniform. The Red Velvet for example was slightly smaller in size with comparison to their other cupcakes. Lastly, their location is probably a hinderance to boosting business as it is located in Liberty Village (close to the CNE), and is a bit out of the way and really not close to anything that one would frequent often. -

Overall the best cupcakes in Toronto. I recently went on a cupcake crawl with my fiance and we visited the top 10 cupcakes listed on blogTO. My fiance is not a fan of sweets but he still joined me on this venture. Overall, we both agree that FTLOC has the BEST cupcakes in Toronto.
1. They are a reasonable size. They aren't gigantic muffins that we simply cannot finish. They are good sized cupcakes made for humans not cupcakes for giants.
2. They aren't too sweet. Some of the icing from the cupcake shops we visited are too sweet or too much. Some cupcakes are top heavy and fall over when you are in the process of eating them because of the icing overload. The cupcake itself isn't too sweet and the icing is just perfect.
3. Creativity in cupcakes (presentation and taste). FTLOC really captures what each cupcake should be.
1. "Cookies and Cream" tastes just like an oreo topped with an icing that tastes just like oreo filling.
2. S'mores tastes just like I would expect a s'more to taste. The icing consists of a "toasted" marshmallow icing w/ graham cracker on top of a "graham cracker" type cake.
3. Very Vanilla is a light and fluffy cake topped with vanilla icing and stuffed with custard. I am not a fan of vanilla cupcakes but this one was really impressive and delicious.
I could go on and on but overall not only are these cupcakes very appealing they taste really freakin good too! I find some cupcake shops make chocolate cakes with vanilla icing and stick an oreo on top and call this a "cookies and cream" cupcake. I like that FTLOC really goes the extra distance to create something unique that separates them from other shops (4D cupcakes also unique).
My review is based on tasting the following flavours: Cookies and Cream, S'Mores, Guinness, Pumpkin Pie, Salted Caramel, Peanut Butter Banana Chocolate, Cookie D'Oh!, Very Vanilla -

A solid 4 I think. Genevieve's dedication to her craft is shown in the inventive and frequently changing menu as well as the "Iron Cupcake" competition she organises. I've seen her in action at that and she was full of enthusiasm!
The cupcakes seem to be mainly their 3D cupcakes-bun+frosting+filling. They're very tasty and I love the flavours she has chosen but I do kind of wish there were more 2D cupcakes. Sometimes all you want is a simple cupcake done really really well. I'll have to go back and try more of them to give a full assessment. I really enjoyed my PB & C cupcake. I'm not quite so sure about the chocolate ganache filling in the red velvet. I rarely turn down chocolate, but there's something lovely and fresh about red velvet when it's not messed with and it's what I'd prefer.
My biggest test was ordering 24 mini cupcakes for a baby shower. I initially asked a few questions by email and Genevieve was quick to answer. We sorted out the final order by phone. She was very obliging, and in the end I decided on a mix of chocolate, vanilla and red velvet buns with pink and blue frosting. I had 3D decorations on just 6 of them because I was on a bit of a budget! The minis were $1.45 each and I think it was $3.45 each for the 3D decorations. Total came to around $45. I asked to collect them on Saturday and they were ready and waiting when I got there. The frosting on each was perfect and they were exactly as described. We all loved the fondant decorations-including the 1 year old guest at the shower who thought one of the pacifiers was real and whipped it from the top of a cupcake before running off with it. All in all I think they were a hit!Listed in: Diet busting bakeries (Toronto…

We ordered a cake and were charged hundreds of dollars (literally) for it- It was because we had specific sugar "jewels" on it that they were making for it. In the end the cake looked NOTHING like our master plan with them and this cake shop could not even apologize or own up to their terrible service and the fact that they charged us an incredibly high amount for a cake that did not resemble anything we had agreed on. Terrible. We, nor any of our guests and neighbours whom we've all told this to,will go here ever again. An apology can go a long way, but arrogance, greed and an unwillingness to admit your mistakes burns a heck of a lot of bridges.

Yummy! Their cupcakes are moist with a surprise inside! Chocolate ganache, lemon meringue, red velvet, chocolate hazelnut, butter cream or cream cheese icing etc.
Make sure you get them to stamp the cupcake flyer each time you try a different one - when all their flavours have been sampled you get a free 6 pack!
See their website for a full list of flavours. Depending on the season they will feature something different. When I went they had egg nog, candy cane and ginger bread flavours. -

Get your asses over to Liberty Village and eat cupcake!
This little bakeshop of wonders has a pretty long list of cupcakes that all look so good. Makes the little fat girl in me giddy with joy. Not surprisingly my favorite was the Bacon Cupcake. Yep, pork on cake. Someone now needs to make Spam Brownies and I think I can die pretty happy(by way of heart attack in this case). Another awesome thing they do is stamp your cupcake pass port. Fill it up and you get a 6 pack for FREE. Not ashamed to say mine is almost filled up. A 6 pack here and a 6 pack from the LCBO down the street and I'm good for the rest of the day.
P.S.
They also do artsy custom cakes but I was too busy choosing my cupcakes to give a f**k. -

After having brunch in the area, we were looking for something sweet. After consulting our phones, we discovered that For the Love of Cake was located close by. I tried the salted caramel, pecan pie, mochaccino and chocolate raspberry, and I must say, I was a little disappointed. Although I did enjoy the pecan pie, the others, which were on a chocolate base were just okay. Given that they were rated #2 on the blogto list and given the high rating here, I certainly expected better. Perhaps, they just do their other flavours better?
I wanted to get the red velvet or carrot but the selection was limited when we dropped by. I'm willing to give it another shot, but I definitely wouldn't get the chocolate base cupcakes again. -

This was the final stop on the Yelp Cupcake Crawl. I don't have a great sweet tooth, and cupcakes are not my dessert of choice, but I picked up a six-pack ($15, full-sized) to serve to guests later in the evening.
I will rank them from most to least favorite:
1. Guinness Chocolate: "A chocolate cupcake flavoured with Guinness beer, filled with an Irish whiskey chocolate ganache and topped with cream cheese frosting and chocolate shavings."
Apparently, I have the taste buds of a man because this is one of the specialty "mancakes" and it was my ideal cupcake; not too sweet with a hint of booze, the ganache filling keeps it moist and I much prefer the tangy cream cheese frosting to its waxy, cloying buttercream cousin.
2. Lemon Meringue: the tartness offsets the sweetness, and I loved the homemade lemon curd filling and crunchy toasted meringue frosting
3. Red Velvet: It's not a deep red because they use cocoa instead of artificial dyes; highlights were the moist cake, chocolate ganache filling and cream cheese frosting
4. Maple Bacon: Meh. It had way too much maple frosting for me; sounds good in theory but, personally, if I wanted bacon, I'd have it with eggs or lettuce & tomato between two slices of bread--not a blueberry-filled cupcake.
5. Stout Spice: This was like a miniature fruit cake. You will either love it or hate it. Unfortunately, for me it was the latter.
(The sixth flavor was Caramel Apple but my guests polished it off before I could sample it!)
I SHOULD ALSO TELL YOU:
- They have over 25 flavors that you can order online at http://fortheloveofcak...
- Each flavor is also available in a mini size ($10 for 6).
- The six-pack comes with a legend complete with photos and descriptions.
- They will stamp the legend for each flavor you buy (full-sized only, I believe); when you've tried them all you get a free six-pack.
- This place is hard to find but listen for the chorus of "Hi-ya!"; it's located across the way from a karate studio.
- They make custom cakes like the ones on display: soccer ball or high-heeled shoe for your next World Cup-Sex in the City gathering.
- Their butter tart cupcake has raisins.
- I'm in the midst of a diabetic coma.Listed in: I Don't Sugar Coat

Where's the love for mint + chocolate, hello?
I sampled "The Grasshopper" at the tail of Cupcake Crawl II: The Reckoning last weekend and it was by far my favourite cupcake of the day, and definitely one of the top minty dessert contenders in the city. I don't care what any of you naysayers say - mint and chocolate BELONG together, and they were paired together perfectly here.
I adore FTLOCCC's cupcake legend, describing all of their flavours and accompanied by a photo and ingredients listing. A beautiful takeaway souvenir that's well designed and a genius idea altogether. They don't always have every cupcake (or mancake) available so call ahead if you're looking for something special.
NOTE: This small shop is in Liberty "We Want To Make It As Difficult As Possible For Customers To Find Us" Village, so take note that it's in the sort of strip mall complex of stores - just follow your nose. An address won't help you here. -

are there any good cupcake places in the city? i kept passing this place and finally got the urge to spoil myself. prices are the same you'd find at any other cupcake place (approx $3 per cupcake and $15 for 6). the store itself was very clean, cute, and smelled nice. the cupcakes on display looked wonderful but here is a classic case of judging a book by its cover. just because they look great doesn't mean they are.
i ordered 6 for $15 and got:
cookies&cream
red velvet
s'more
very vanilla
some caramel one (don't remember the name)
pecan pie
i went home and tried a small piece of each cupcake to be able to taste them accurately, not days later when they wouldn't be fresh anymore. to be honest, i was expecting to be blown away but was not. every cupcake was dry, stale and nearly flavorless. there was a nice chocolate surprise in the middle but that too was hard like it was frozen prior and failed to impress. i was really disappointed with the cupcakes and money spent. the only one i could get into was the cookies & cream. i literally had to stop eating the others because i felt nauseated. i wouldn't return here but if you're in the neighborhood i would say it doesn't hurt to try one considering they look so pretty. it's unfortunate i did not have a good experience here, i am still on the hunt for the best cupcakes. -
Review from Terry P.
For The Love of Cake is a little hard to find, but worth the trip. They are becoming well known for their cupcakes, particularly their "Man-Cakes" (Maple Bacon, Guiness, Stout and soon Tequila, Pretzel, and Rum and Coke).
They change their cupcake flavours everyday, and post the flavours for each day on their website and on twitter. We had a Maple Bacon (A maple and bacon flavoured cupcake filled with blueberries and topped with a maple frosting and bacon bits) and a Salted Caramel (Chocolate cupcake filled with homemade caramel and topped with chocolate butter cream, a pinch of sea salt and a caramel chew.) I'd been wanting to try the maple bacon for a long time, out of curiosity. It was good but the bacon flavour is strong. I'm glad I tried it but won't rush out for another. The Salted Caramel was awesome though - very moist chocolate cake and a great caramel flavour.
I want to go back and try all the flavours, which I'm thinking would be quite the task. $3 per cupcake by the way though, just to warn you.Listed in: My sweet sweet tooth....

Wow. This place is so neatly tucked away in Liberty Village you could nearly miss it altogether. But do yourself a favour...DON'T MISS IT!!!
This lovely little shop is home to lovely little cupcakes, and the most GORGEOUSLY decorated cakes.
Cupcakes: My friend had vanilla, which was not your run-of-the-mill vanilla. It was angel food. With vanilla custard. And vanilla frosting. And. It. Was. Amazing!
I had the chocolate hazelnut...with sticky, thick, chocolately hazelnut frosting. And topped with a chocolate covered hazelnut. Fabulous!
There were a few other delicious flavours on hand, so it was a tough choice. Hello cookies and cream! Hello Chocolate and Mint! Hello Peanut Butter!
The Cakes: We didn't try these, but their sheer beauty blew my mind. One was inspired by the Palace of Versailles. Yep, the one in France. And it looked like a beautiful blue footstool, with tassles and draped fabric. But it was made with cake and icing!!! Incredible!
The owner was also working on a yellow fabric-inspired cake in the back room which was to be featured in Wedding Belles magazine! How cool is that?!?!
So go there...check it out!!! IMMEDIATELY!Listed in: FTR's n' all dat.

These are some of the best cupcakes I've ever had. They have the classic flavours red velvet and very vanilla, some less common yet absolutely delicious options such as chocolate-banana and pumpkin pie, as well as some more adventuresome flavour combinations which seem to have everyone talking like the Guiness chocolate and the maple bacon mancakes. (This is a quick cross-section of their flavour selection, they have many more flavours and they're all great). They also do some pretty spectacular made-to-order custom cakes in interesting shapes.
I love the fact that everything is home made, right down to the peanut brittle chip on top of the chocolate peanut butter cupcake. The shop is also very quaint however quite hard to find the first time you go. I drove by a couple times before realizing it's tucked away in a pedestrian tunnel which also houses an Aikido school, a cafe, a clothing store, and a few other businesses.
The cupcakes are a bit on the pricey side at about $2.50 each if I remember correctly, but I guess it's worth it for the quality. They're great to bring if you're going for dinner at a friend's house and you need to bring dessert. -

Tucked neatly in Liberty Village, you'd have to either a) live near there or b) have someone tell you about it, but For The Love of Cake has a variety of cupcake flavours. Because I've recently had my first Guinness, I noticed the Guinness flavoured cupcake right away. They also had Chocolate Hazelnut, Death by Chocolate (or something like that), Rocky Road, Red Velvet, Mint Chocolate Chip, and a few others I can't recall. I got the Chocolate Hazelnut and, like Kelly O said, it was delish!
For me, the icing makes or breaks a cupcake. The sweeter, the better. The icing reminded me of what you'd make at home and I don't mean that in a bad way -- they were very good. The cake was moist and fresh, and, although it wasn't my favourite cupcake I've ever had, I wouldn't turn one down.Listed in: Cupcakes, Cupcakes, We All…

This place was a bit out of the way (unless you live nearby).
I'm not much of a cupcake person but I was excited to try one nonetheless. After scoping out the website, I was a wee bit disappointed that they didn't have ANY of the kinds I wanted to try on the day I went in (Chocolate Banana, Peanut Butter & Chocolate, Angel Food Cake, Smores, Rocky Road) Oh well.
I tried a Pumpkin Pie cupcake ($3). It was tasty but it it didn't blow my mind, Perhaps I should have stuck with a more classic cupcake..
Service was great and the place was super clean.
No seating though. I'm assuming most of the customers order cakes/cupcakes ahead and stop in to pick them up, but it would be nice if they spruced it up a bit, added some seats and made it more cafe-ish for people just passing by.Listed in: Sugar Rush

Mmmm. I don't know what else you could say but this. Such good cupcakes! I like that they have mini sizes and large sizes and that the mini sizes are a third of the cost of the large size. This place is in the building where I work and I'm so often tempted to come down and have a cupcake when the mid-afternoons blahs hit and all I want to do is curl up and nap. Of course, eating a cupcake a day is not a good habit to pick up. So I've been resisting temptation. But when I do go, I get two mini cupcakes just so I can get a taste of all the flavours. I haven't found one that I didn't like.

Went today to seek out Toronto's best cupcakes.
I should preface this review by saying I love cupcakes and have pretty high standards. I really enjoy and miss the cupcakes from back home in Vancouver, although I haven't lived there for a while now. Anyways, I have been looking for a good cupcake place here.
We tried the Very Vanilla, Almond and the Bailey's Hot Chocolate. First, there are a lot of flavours, there were maybe 8 at the shop, maybe 20 in the booklet. It smelled delicious in the bakery. I was already more impressed than I have been at any other shop so far. It wasn't too fancy, like they didn't have to try too hard.
Now the cupcakes:
Very Vanilla: This had a surprising pudding or creme anglaise type middle! I didn't know there would be a soft centre. The cake itself was moist and very good. The icing was a little on the heavy side, although it was tasty buttercream.
Almond: This could have had more almond flavour. Again, there was a centre we weren't prepared for! This time it was some sort of berry. It was yummy, but the cupcake itself wasn't very almond-y. We were hoping for something more distinct, this was like a hint of almond in a vanilla cupcake batter. This was still my girl's fave though.
Bailey's Hot Chocolate: This was my favorite of the bunch. Liquid centre (again) but the cupcake was delicious. I don't usually like chocolate cake as much as vanilla, but it was moist and flavourful. The icing here was lighter and almost like a marshmallow topping. Mmmm. I liked it!
Did I find the best cupcakes in Toronto? Not sure, but they are very good. I will be back for more :) -

I didn't end up getting to try their cakes, but based on the service I was given, I think it's fair. I brought a groupon for $11, which can get me 10 (worth $22) cake balls. The location of it made it out of the way for my boyfriend and I to get to, so we didn't make our trip there till the weekend before it expired. I was excited about the cake balls, since they looked very good in pictures on their website. After driving for close almost an hour on a Sunday afternoon, we made it there. We walk in and told the girl we have purchased the groupon for cake balls. She tells us that they are out of cake balls (like 0), and we can use the $11 we paid for the group on other things. We mentioned that the groupon was actually good for $22 worth of stuff, but she said that's only good for cake balls, so if we are not getting any cake balls it is only good for $11. OK, fine, we thought maybe we can get something else since we drove all the way here. When asked what is available, she pointed to the 5 mini cupcakes and 2 regular sized cupcakes that were displayed in the fridge. They were the least appealing cupcakes I've ever seen, and they looked like they've been sitting there for days. When asked when they will have cake balls again, she mentions other days of the week there'll be a few flavours and Wednesday will have the most. Obviously we were not able to make it back to the store in time before the groupon expired, which is not their fault. But this experience have made me feel that this place is not ready for regular walk in business, yet they tried to promote that through groupon. There goes my first ever groupon fail.
