Like any gal, I'm totally a 'spa' person; on the other hand, my boyfriend is not. He always says he doesn't need any massage. Somehow I convinced him to go for a Monday special foot massage. As we sat down on the nice comfy sofa, he started talking to the therapist.... actually quite a bit. He was nervous and even the therapist can tell!! We'd to remind him to sit back, relax and have eyes closed. After about 15 mins, he finally started to relax. After the treatment, he said he loved it, and said he would do it again!! I'm so glad :)
Very friendly owner and staff, clean place, would definitely go back! Thanks for a nice massage!

Upon arrival you will have a footbath with rocks in the bottom which is nice for the toots!

They offer endless green tea, and the last time I was there they offered a 5 min shoulder massage before the foot rub began

Watch the timing. I have been twice and my first experience the massage was 30 mins when I paid for 55. The masseur was confused and just went on to the next customer. Thought they totally felt bad and only made me pay for half....really they should have taken care of the entire thing.

Though I have been back and it;s the NICEST reflexology place in the city just watch the clock and you should be A-OK!

Years of stuffing my feet into tight hockey skates and generally not really paying too much attention to my soles, have rendered them into a pair of pain at the end of my legs. Thankfully, a stop here gave them some much needed relief. For $39, I got 55 minutes of reflexology. During the month of June, you also get started off with a shoulder massage....great for me, since I sit at a desk all day.

Give this place a shot; it has beautiful decor, comfy chairs and great staff.

They might need to install a heavier, more insulated door though...noise seeps in and sometimes the outside crowd gets distracting.

I checked out Footworks Relaxology for the first time last night by myself after lots of excercising during the week and stressed out from work.  I wanted a little pampering for my poor feet and I felt wonderful afterwards.  I got a 10% discount for having an evening appointment and complimentary back massage (although at times it was a bit painful.......maybe too much stress and pain).  The foot massage was pretty relaxing and my feet were well moisturized afterwards.

A definite yes for next time.

I had the opportunity to try out a new massage studio that opened in the Kitsilano neighbourhood by partnering owners, Jenny Shin and Nancy Hannoun. Footworks Relaxology, located at 2992 West Broadway, offers traditional foot reflexology services in a contemporary setting.

When I was little girl, my mother always told me to take good care of my feet. She use to work long laborious hours in a factory and as soon as she got home, she would apply pressure on her feet with her fingers and thumbs. She said there are certain points on the feet (as well as your hands) that are connected to the rest of your body. This is what we call reflexology - By applying pressure to certain zones of the feet, it can help by relieving tension, stress from other parts of your body. Celebrity Gwenyth Paltrow is a big fan of reflexology and she dishes about it on her blog, "GOOP".

What I liked most about Footworks is the clean and simple contemporary space. They also have a couples room at back with a TV for some privacy. On top of their regular foot massage, they also offer a leg scrub and aromatherapy oils as an add on which I would highly recommend. A regular session of 55 minutes is only $39 and you can up that to 80 minutes for $59. If this is your first time with reflexology, make sure you tell them. They are able to adjust the pressure to your liking so that they can make your experience as comfortable as possible.

I don't usually attend massage or spa type parties but there's a first time for everything, right? My colleague and workmate Sophia helped organized Footworks' opening business kick off.

Colene and I both caught a couple of complimentary 15-minute foot massages side by side. Oh my. It was pretty great. So relaxing. A bit painful, but good painful.

I really loved the treatment. I am not one for pampering myself on such treatments. However, I am more than tempted to go back for a full session, especially for their Monday discounted deals.

Have been here twice for a foot massage - $40 for 55 minutes and a 5 minute shoulder massage.  I have been to a few different Asian massage salons around the city and I find the ambience here to be the best by far.  None of the masseuses are chatting with each other or answering their cell phones mid massage (a la Big Feet). Its a very professional place with a  relaxing and clean atmosphere.  Have not had a full body massage yet but will definitely book one soon.  I would recommend this place to anyone.

Amazing experience! The staff were very welcoming, served us tea during our treatments and gave us the most amazing foot reflexology and leg massage. The reclining leather chairs are so comfortable and there is even a little "map" of a foot beside your chair so you can learn what points of your foot associate with what part of your body. A great place to unwind, reap in the benefits of reflexology at a great price! Highly recommend for both females and males, great for a gift too!
