We always end up going here at 3am after work and the staff are always accommodating even though the are finishing up for the evening. Good food, good prices.

Great place of the local and tourist a like. The food was fine, the staff was great, the prices were great, especially given the tourist nature of Niagara Falls.
We hit the place on the way out and it was a great place to go and just decompress. The staff was very friendly and engaging. The food was solid breakfast items. It is a flying saucer and not the Ritz after all.
It had what looked like a full bar as well. I peaked at the non-breakfast items and they looked pretty good as well.
So I would recommend it to the tourist trying to escape the crowed and prices of the strip. -

In honor of my first Canadian review, I am going to attempt to be humble. But it's hard when Niagara Falls is hiding a darn fine invention such as this. I'm almost proud to be (sort of) 1/4 Canadian (on my mom's side).
The facts are pretty neat to say the least (or most). It's a classic greasy spoon diner. Inside of a (fake, probably, maybe, hopefully) flying saucer. With an under $2.00 breakfast special. I mean, shut the front door! How could anyone resist those charms? Sorry, that last outburst was sort of inpolite of me.
Now I got there too late to get the breakfast special, but when my plate arrived I knew I was in Canada (if the accent of every other customer and the comfortable seating didn't give it away). Taking up a third of the table (good thing Canadians are good at sharing their space), my three egg (it looked like six) Spanish Omelet, home fries, and Texas Toast were nothing that an alien would invade for, but as far as greasy, cheap diner fare goes, quite tasty. And the spice of the salsa on the omelet was not quite as understated as I expected. Who knew how unbland Canadian food could be?
Plus when it's served by a cute server that says "aboot" (I am quite fond of the Canadian accent), there's a little something better about it.
The one thing that I have to be a bit less than Canadian about is the crowd. Due to the diner's theme, it seems to have become quite the hangout for local teenagers. They take up quite a few of the tables and make for waits. They even stand in the doorway looking about as threatening as people who listen to Sum 41 can. But since they're Canadian youth, they're only 70% annoying in an exchange since they actually kind of deferential.
While I wish they did a bit more with their theme (besides a few alien posters, it really doesn't carry over inside) I would definitely stop here again in Niagara Falls. It's a good break from the neon lights of the Niagara Falls strip. Those flashy Canadians.Listed in: Dive Restaurants

Every city has "that hole of a diner" that people go to when they're smashed. This is the place in Niagara Falls.
I had breakfast here with a group of friends recently and the portions were very large. We joked and laughed about the good old days when this place was more sketchy!
I've come here late night many o' times getting breakfast, the poutine and various sandwiches. The foods ok and the wait staff do put up with a lot of drunk idiots early in the morning. They're super friendly during the day as well. The only problem is that the night kitchen staff have had some sanitation issues in the past. At one point we were compiling a list of things we've found in our food over the years. The list of "Cracker Jack" items have included:
- strands of hair
- globs of hair
- a bandaid
- flies
It's been awhile since I've come back for a late night meal but after writing this review I feel like I may have to go back sometime in the future just to see what we may find! -

If you're looking for a super chic, high-end restaurant, chances are you won't find it in a place called flying saucer.
I will however tell you, if you're in Niagara Falls, Ontario and you happen to wake up really early (say 6am) or...you were up all night and it just so happens to be 6am.this is the place for you!
$.99 Breakfast!!!
That's right 99CENTS- for 2 large eggs, hashbrowns and toast.
of course if you walk in around 8am or 9am...that breakfast will have gone up in price to about $2-3. Which is still way better than the usual 6-7dollar breakfasts anywhere else. Really now...who will mess up eggs?
The only downside to it all...atleast for moms with babies- the bathroom is quite a walk away.
Great parking space always available. -

Gross. The only place this ship will take you is planet salt lick in the coronary system.

One star because it's in a saucer. Everything else at this restaurant was abysmal. We stood at the entrance of the saucer for about 5min before anybody acknowledged us, and were sat in a tiny little corridor between the saucer's "main room" and the takeout section. The waitress took 5-10min just to bring us our menus, and gave us attitude when we only ordered a large serving of their poutine to share.
That is not of course to say that this poutine was one of the worst ones I've ever eaten in my life. I love poutine, and eat it any chance I get when I come back to Canada. I had heard that there were some good ones in Ontario, but I must have not been lucky. This was just plain terrible.
The fries were clearly reheated-refries. The cheese was grated mozzarella, and the gravy was untasty and very generic. Even after adding ketchup (sacrilege!), I couldn't finish it. Maybe I just tried the wrong item? Maybe. But if you sell something, make sure its good and not just so that you can put it on your menu. In short, this place sucked and so did their food. Not even a saucer can save that.Listed in: Best Poutines.

We were planning to go to the all you can eat buffet (Al Mac's AYCE) down the block from us. I read a lot of not so good reviews. So we came to Flying Saucer instead.
Yes, the building is in the shape of a flying saucer which makes it so unique.
Food definitely reminded me of typical Jersey diner food, but it was great b/c it lived up to all the hype that I read on threads/forums about local breakfast joints.
I would definitely come back when coming to Niagara Falls. -

I live here in the falls
I can't believe this place is getting great reviews.
it's heinous.
the food, the service, the cleanliness--it's all awful.
late at night and 3/4 of the customers most likely have warrants out for their arrests..
I guess that's not the saucers fault but it certainly doesn't do anything to make it less skeevy..
tourists---stay away.
want decent affordable food nearby?
head down to that chip n charlies place--it's ok--fish and chips are real good
can you be sued for this crap?
sometimes the truth must be told -

I give this 5 stars not particularly for the food, which is just fine, but for the atmosphere. They don't cram all of the tables together to make for more seating in this fabulously eccentric eating space. Rather they place the tables where they *should* be in a Flying Saucer. The colored lights are fun and I found myself grinning despite my early-morning grogginess. The place woke me up even before the coffee arrived.
Food? Well, we had breakfast and it was a good breakfast. The portion sizes are absurd. We just skipped lunch and didn't eat again until the evening.
Given the number of chain restaurants in this town, it was great to find a good local destination that had something unique to offer. -

I've been here a few times when friends and I are driving through the falls and need a quick place to grab a bite.
The place is usually borderline clean, and the food is normal tourist trap diner fare, so that means low as possible quality, with the highest price that won't get them shot at. The wings are pretty decent, as are a few other items, but quite honestly nothing to write home about.
The staff is usually pretty good, but sometimes they can have a tendency to completely ignore you. -

A place that the locals only know about.
The food was EXCELLENT! Exactly what we needed to start our wine tour on a good note.
For about $7 per persons you get a Hefty meal! I had the ET special and could not finish it.
It included homefries, toast (of choice), 3 eggs, sausage, pancakes.
Also, the "regular" orange juice is considered an XL in nyc!! I was in love.
I am so glad we did not go to the tourist restaurant. I asked a local and she recommended this... AWESOME.Listed in: places i LOVE

It's not every day that you get to eat breakfast in a FLYING SAUCER.
My husband and I popped in for a quick breakfast over the weekend, and were thoroughly pleased with our experience. Granted, we were mostly excited about the flying saucer part, with the cheap breakfast special as a close second.
I had the breakfast special WITH meat - two eggs, toast, excellent home fries, and bacon or sausage - for about $4 - and my husband had some sort of breakfast sandwich. We agreed that my breakfast was the better deal, and that the home fries were the highlight. Well, apart from the flying saucer kitsch, of course. Our server was nice but harried. We were in and out in about half an hour.
The Flying Saucer provided basically exactly what we expected: a fantastically kitschy diner breakfast. -

I lovvveee this place! It's your typical cheap diner with crazy big portions. They also serve beer. They are open early in the morning and close at 2am during the week, 3am on the weekends. For all the americans, try the meat sauce with your fries. It's not bad.
I wish I ate here during my vacation. I would've saved a lot of money and the food here is wicked good. It's also close by to the bars and strip clubs. -

large portions. a bit dated but clean enough,
fun for kids, and decent food. -

I thought it would be fun eating in a flying saucer. The seating inside is basically around a round area. The inside of the flying saucer doesn't look very much like a flying saucer. It is actually rather cramped.
When I got there, there was a short line and we had to hold the door and wait at the entrance as there was not enuough space to wait inside. They do take reservations if you have a group.
The breakfast specials is cheap. For $2.99, you get 2 eggs, toast, homestyle fries (bitesize) and bacon strips. Coffee / tea comes in a carafe. Menu items are regular priced, not exceptionally cheap.
Tastes ok, nothing special in my opinion. In addition to the circular seating area, there was an area (very tight and cramp) where I sat. It felt like I was in a really small asian eatery. -

Absolutely the best breakfast I ever had in my life. We were on our way home from Lake Temagami and we decided to stop off in the falls, we asked some locals where is a good place for breakfast, one old man mentioned the flying saucer. We finally found it and it looked really cool. I was shocked on how cheap the menu was, I mean come on, 3 eggs with home fries with tons of toast and all you can drink coffee for 4.00. Their was 3 of us and when our food came, 4 waiters carried our food out, I thought it was somekind of a mistake but it wasnt!! My plate was staked about 5 inches high with food, I was very impressed. The seating was really good, not cramed up next to other people, the service was really good and I would go there again in a heartbeat.

Made a stop at the UFO for breakfast on our way up to Toronto from Buffalo. The seating is one of a kind! The colors and mirrors add a fun element you come to expect from "The Falls". Although the place was packed (9am on a Monday) the service was very prompt. I went with the chocolate chip pancakes while the others went with the daily special. My pancakes were both HUGE and packed with chips! The only thing that would have put these over the top would be real maple syrup. They serve them with packs of the fake stuff, but maybe I am just spoiled always having the real stuff from NY. All and all our party of five was stuffed for about $42 (Canadian) total with a solid tip. I don't get up to this part often, but will make it a point to stop by next time I'm in town!
