Very cute bakery! The scones are the best that I have ever had. Lots of sweet looking treats to eat.

This little bakery is so sweet. The owner bakes all these single-serving desserts like strawberry shortcakes and tarts, plus baguettes, every day, and they're displayed wonderfully in a big glass case. You can pick out some to take home, or sit right there at one of the sparkling-clean booths and enjoy your sweets with a cup of strong coffee. (If the seats are taken, there's always sunny Ambleside beach nearby.)
I love the white chocolate strawberry shortcakes. If you're flush, and like cake, they also do custom cake orders. I haven't had one, but am pretty danged sure it ain't no Safeway cake. Someday, I'm going to celebrate a very special birthday with, oh let's see, a White Forest Cake with cherries! -

Flour Bakeshop in Ambleside may have shut up shop, but the mother-and-daughter team have reopened in Horseshoe Bay (they're on Bruce Street), and their creations are just as delicious as before!
I recommend ... everything.
