Review from Lindsay K.

I do love the smell of a nail salon; something about the crazy overpowering scent that draws you in. Even just walking by and getting a whiff is enough to make me wander in and get something done!
And that's exactly the reason I went into Flora Nails one afternoon. I was so happy when they told me that a full acrylic set would only cost me $35. That's well worth it to me.
I was, however, greeted by a smack in the face from a wind chime that was hanging in the door. It freaked me out, okay. And I felt like such a tool when I freaked out a little until I realized what it was. I think I saw one of the people laughing at me.
Other than the chime in the face, this place was pretty chill. It wasn't too busy but was loud enough to make it comfortable. I left with no little cuts or sores from the tools and a pretty decent set of black tips. All-in-all, I rather pleasing experience. -
Review from Lisa P.
I've seen this little nail salon over on Northmount before and thought I'd give it a try. I phoned ahead and the lady said I could come down any time. For $35, my pedicure was pretty decent. The girl did a nice job of massaging my calves and feet and even used these hot stones. My only complaint is the flower design on the big toes. She did a bunch of little flowers all along the top. It looked weird. So I asked if she could do something to fill in the rest of the nail. She did. It looks worse. Well actually one toe looks ok, the other looks so crowded I can't stand it. I'm going back tomorrow to have her redo it. I hate looking at it. Annoys me.
The salon has a small selection of nail colors and lots looked old. So if you can, I suggest bringing your own. I got a nice purple color from the Opi Shrek collection. The lady beside me brought her own polish. Smart lady.
They have 4 of the spa/massage chairs and the staff let you sit there as long as you want after your pedicure to let your nails dry. That's kinda nice to be able to just chill out, read a trashy magazine and get a bit of a massage.
I figured since I'm here, I might as well get my eyebrows waxed. Not the best I've had. She waxed them ok but completely didn't do any sort of tweezer clean up getting the little ones that were missed. So when I came home, that's what I had to do. I think that's the first time I've never had that not done. Very disappointing.
I would maybe go back for the pedicure but not the waxing.
