I called the 1-800 number for Flight Centre and was routed over to this location and the lovely Tamara.
I am a difficult customer. Not in the sense that I am unpleasant, but I am a traveler; I know what I'm doing to some extent, do my research, and like to talk to someone that may know at least a little more than I do when it comes to planning my trip. I go to agents for that very service. Tamara was perfect. I came to her after looking at many different websites, and knew what date range and price range I was after. I had browsers open with prices like a modern-day coupon clipping nutjob, and highlighted notes. This weird stingy-grama behavior is the reason I like to book flights over the phone
I was unfortunately under the impression that Flight Centre price beats and undercuts by 10% which is not the case, but they will price match (if you only save me $1 I refuse to call a price "beat") and give you a $20 voucher for next time which is better than nothing, but not reallly enough to convince me to ask them to price beat again.
Tamara was great though - she happily accepted my crazy screen shot emails from competitors, AND happened to be from the same semi-obscure (for Canadians anyways) region of Mexico I happened to decide to visit on a whim. She was enthusiastic and offered up all kinds of advice. She sent clear, concise emails, and spoke very well. I would call her again.
