FixSwift did an awesome job giving my computer an "extreme makeover." It was loading really slow and needed some updates, and they were the perfect people for the job. Great prices, and even threw in some freebies!! 5 stars for computer service and repair, 3 stars for customer service. Took 4 days to receive the quote, when they said they'd call me tomorrow, and never returned a message for a follow up question after the work was done. Despite that, I would still go back and recommend their services.

These guys ROCK! From minor to major computer repairs I can recommend them without hesitation. I had a hard drive meltdown (blue screen of death) on my Lenovo x200 which I use extensively for work. Having used FixSwift in the past they were the first place I called. This was an emergency (to me) as I had a presentation the following afternoon. They quickly diagnosed the problem, were able to replace the hard drive and get my laptop back to me the very SAME DAY! Needless to say I owe them a debt of gratitude.
I have utilized them in the past as I mentioned and they have never failed me.
Brian and team go above and beyond as a proper business should. -

These guys were amazing when we started with them. Solved tons of problems quickly for our small office of five folks, and they were available via email and IM. But within the last few months they have started taking 1-2 weeks to respond to email, stopped using IM, and even sent us a bill for $50 for two short emails in response to whether we wanted them do two projects. They did void the invoice but claimed it was industry standard, which is debatable.
I hope our end experience was just a random glitch and that other folks continue to have rad work done, because they do have a great niche. -

Steve Jobs and Bill Gates are brilliant billionaires, not only for their contributions to technology but also for the idea that they can sell problem plagued hardware and software. Because of this, they unveil the same crap every year with minor updates with patches and/or fixes. Every year, there will be a better screen, or a better casing, or cooler backlit keyboard keys or tablet features that were better than last years. And the worst part, is you'll almost automatically be unhappy with your relatively new MacBook you bought only three months ago.
Here's where Fixswift and Brian come in. I was having problems with my Macbook Pro. Brian told me to drop it off at my convenience (Friday) and it was ready by Monday but I didn't pick it up until Tuesday. He went above and beyond making sure that everything was back to its working condition and ready for me to destroy again. Woohoo! I've been to some other IT stores that look like a chop shop but Fixswift is organized, professional and worthy of my continued patronage. Thanks again Brian! -

I am a sole proprietor and have been working with Jason for several years. He was always attentive; I was concerned as he started to grow his company and how it would impact the work he did with the solo business owners vs. the bigger companies. My concerns were not necessary - Jason has been together a professional and dedicated team who attends to my specific needs. They even took time to make recommendations for a new system I needed and didn't charge for the many questions I had. I recommend Jason and FixSwift for all of your IT needs!

Swift indeed!
They swapped out a power supply on a Dell Inspiron with a ONE DAY turnaround! w00t! Something like $50 for the power supply and $25 for the service. -

Initially, when the iMac G5 I bought 3 years ago crashed and I started looking around for someone to recover some data on in for me, I was annoyed by 1- the fact that no place was open on the weekend to receive my computer and 2- that the initial quotes i got from a lot of people i talked to were in the range of a $100+ just to take a look! I didn't even bother with the apple store (see my review on them).
So after emailing a few people, I was lucky to get a quick response from Joe and Brian at Fixswift. They told me to bring my computer in (on a weekday, alas, which meant hauling it on the bus to my office downtown, then over to their place- no mean feat for a desktop computer) and they would take a look at it and give me a quote before they charged me anything.
In the end, I'm almost glad that I did get to visit their office. If they weren't fixing computers I bet half of these guys would be doing interior design for the latest awesome restaurant or bar in the Mission. The whole vibe of the place was laid back, non-geeky, and cool.
About a day and a half after dropping off my baby, I got an email from Joe that they were able to recover the data and that I could come in and collect it and my computer. They were also able to figure out what the problem was (bad hard-drive) and suggest an easy solution (get a new one for under $100). They even gave me a quick instruction on how to install the new one, if I wanted to, or how to try to salvage the old one. The entire cost for my repair was very reasonable and less than what some other businesses had quoted me just to take a look at the problem!
In the end, I was very happy with the outcome and left feeling that I had gotten a good deal on a valuable service and been given awesome advice on how to proceed if the problem came up again. Also- did I mention that they even took the time to chat with me about the best kind of hard drive to buy? Apparently Western Digital and Samsung have the fewest problems, according to them.
PROLOGUE:
By the time I finished lugging my computer the four or five blocks back to my office I had an email from Joe waiting in my inbox with a recap of what we discussed, as well as a suggestion on where to pick up a new hard drive, and a link to their website and the specs on the drive.
SO, 5 stars for awesome service, 5 stars for price, 5 stars for results, 4 stars for not having some kind of receiving service on the weekend, but who the hell wants to work on the weekend? I don't, so I don't blame them- and their main business isn't home users anyway so it probably doesn't make sense to be open downtown on the weekend for them. And finally 5 stars for personality and good looks (of the office- sorry boys, I like the vag).
Thanks Fixswift! -

If Jason at Fixswift was a photographer, he would be the Captain at Cameras, the Father of Film, the Darkroom Doctor, and the Photoshop Phantom. But he's an IT Pro. So in reality he's the Windows Wizard, Macintosh Mack, the Sultan of Software, and the Dirty Harry of Hardware. Don't take chances with your computer. Fixswift is a sure thing.
Oh yeah if they can't fix it, it's free. But they always fix it! -

AWESOME service...Jason Pan will NOT quit until your issue is resolved. My husband and I had crazy trouble setting up our wireless and would not quit until he got it resolved. He's helped us tremendously to cleanup our hard drive and get our computers running smoothly. He's also a great person to ask for expert advice on what type of computer to purchase depending on your needs.
You can't go wrong when you go with FixSwift services!!!
Give it a try, you won't be sorry!!!! All his work is GUARANTEED!! -

FixSwift saved the day and a few months of data that was not backed up. They were able to recover all the files that I needed and set me up with a fool proof, (yes I would be the fool), system to keep my files organized and safe. Fees were reasonable and in fact in this instance my files are my life and I would have paid a hefty ransom.

I found Jason on Yelp, and called him based on the stellar reviews he's received.
I have to concur: all the great things people say are true. Jason got my Mac-and-PC shop up and running on a new network, answered all my questions, and did so for a reasonable rate. I'd recommend him to anyone. -

Jason is the small business owner's dream. He is our tried and true "on call" IT department. He knows our network inside and out and is able to offer quick fix solutions over the phone but is always willing to come in if his presence is required.
I have used Jason's service for over 4 years now and would rate his customer care as excellent. His pricing is more than fair; he really listens to his customers and has a manner and style that is both appealing and professional. -

WOW.....everyone loves Jason Pan, and guess what...... so do I. I work with a growing downtown SF company, Jason is our IT guy and his reliability is truly a blessing.
Just when those computer glitches drive me to the edge sanity I give him a call. Jason's friendly face and upbeat attitude are his first remedy, when it comes to fixing computers, he is relentless at getting to the root of the problem.
For small San Francisco based businesses Jason is a fantastic solution, he allows businesses to focus on their core business while he takes care of all computer issues. -

FixSwift is incredible in so many ways! I have a bookkeeping firm and we are rapidly growing, constantly wanting to update our technology to stay ahead of the game. FixSwift is always there to help us with all of our needs, big or small. I also have referred FixSwift to several of my clients who depend on me for professional service providers and every single one of them have been impressed by his extensive knowledge and expertise of all things technical.
They also have a unprecedented guarentee that if they don't fix anything, they don't charge you a cent- I can only speculate that they do that because they know they can always fix it! You can't get that kind of guarantee or their special kind of service with a smile anywhere else. -

As the daughter of a computer guy one would think i know everything about computers, but alas, I think the computer wizardry gene skips a generation....
Lucky for me I have Jason at FixSwift as my IT professional. He takes time to listen to you, diagnose all of your computer issues and then solve them without even breaking a sweat! Without Jason's expertise I am certain that I would end up spending the majority of my workweek swearing profusely at my computer.
He even set up our systems so that I can log into my work computer from the comfort of my home office. Nothing like working in your p.j.'s!!! -

Huge crisis. Entire store network and ability to process sales was down. Called several places/people -- but nobody was available for same-day service. Then ended up doing a Yelp search to find FixSwift. Best idea ever.
Joe to the rescue -- within the hour! Patient, friendly, methodical... worked like a real trooper as he isolated what the problem was, and then fixed it. (On a Mac network, nonetheless!) Our store was up and running in a snap.
The service was better than anticipated and the bill was less than anticipated. I cannot say enough about what a happy customer I am. :)
September 2010 update:
Well.. ends up that Joe doesn't work here any more. Dang it... -

These guys are awesome. They always solve my computer issues! And they never reprimand me for being a moron, which I truly appreciate.
Also, they are really cool guys who are fun to work with or hang out with after work -- not your usual boring, dorky IT dudes.

In San Francisco, this is one of the great IT tech solutions resource centers.

I thought these guys did a great job with my recent computer fix. They were very laid back, almost felt like I had gone to a friends house who just happened to be an IT dude. They do not have any of the usual scorn and condescension habits that I previously associated with IT folk.
I highly recommend them, and will return for any other computer issues. -

These guys were so helpful. Caught a really nasty virus, nothing the typical lousy software (Norton, McAfee) could handle. These guys fixed it within a really reasonable price (much less than Geek Squad, etc.) and provided much better solutions. Learned some new ways to keep my computer safe and secure.
Thanks Brian and Blake. Well done. -

These guys are just Awesome! I met Jason at a business event. Since then, he's been helping my business anything from setting up file server to fixing laptops.
They are really flexible, professional and above all, very cheap.
I ended up saving about 5K which I'd have been spending to other places by getting services from them.
I'd highly recommend them without a alight doubt. -

My HP died and took it to this business based on yelp reviews! Brian took 1 look at it and told me what was wrong, extremely professional, honest and knowledgeable. We discussed getting an mac and Brian said he'd put in MS Office suite for a great price. Fast forward a couple weeks, I bought a MAC Book and Brian kept his word and was gracious and I left feeling like I got the best customer service from any IT Guy ever. HIGHLY recommend this business.

yeah, yeah, any old techie can fix your box. no, seriously, techies are sort of a dime a dozen in this neck of the woods.
but what sets fixswift apart is jason! he's fantastic! he doesn't just fix things and fly off, he explains things so you can understand. he's super reliable, and he's incredibly nice--truly great service with a big ol' smile!
if I want it fixed, swift, it's all about the pan! -

We called Jason in complete panic. A co-worker's flash drive malfunctioned upon return from about 2 months of traveling with tons of information potentially lost. Jason came to the office, determined he could not do it himself and then contracted with firm that was able to retrieve all information. He then came back to the office to drop it off. What a novel idea -- customer service from a computer guy!

I think that Jason should rename his company FixSwift Fantastic.
Seriously, he is awesome!! My computer somehow caught a virus that made it impossible to browse the web and would spontaneously shut down without notice. Thinking there was no hope for my computer I called Jason. He fixed it with in a couple of days and I swear it runs better than it ever did. If you are like me and know nothing about computers and encounter a problem, don't freak out, just call Jason. -

Calling Jason Pan of FixSwift was the best decision I made. As soon as you call Jason you will know why every speaks so highly of him. His is totally personable and you can tell he is "GREAT" at what he does. So I needed help with data transfer and Jason happily came to my house. Not only did he deliver on service but he went way above and beyond to help me out . Hands down the best IT guy around. Jason Pan would get 10 stars in my book. You will NOT be disappointed.

FixSwift It Solutions has good customer service.
I paid $92 to fix my computer fixed whereas I would have to spend $8 more at another computer repair shop here in the city.
Brian who worked on my computer told me that just looking at my computer would have only been like $25 bucks.
Brian took an hour to fix the problems with my computer.
I brought my computer in on a Friday before Labor Day Weekend.
Brian said that he would call me up later in the day and he did.
He told me that he found another virus on my computer that the guys at another computer repair shop where I took my computer did not pick up on and he was able to remove it.
He told me that he would call me Tuesday morning, which he did.
He fixed disk defragmenter, downloaded Service Pack 3 that I needed and was able to get my computer to shut off properly.
Three days after I got my computer, Brian called me up thanking me for writing a good review on here and asked if I was still having any other issues with my computer.
I brought my computer in again for a second time and even though Brian was busy on the day I brought in my computer, he still bothered to check it.
He recommended that I add another hard drive since my primary hard drive is almost maxed out from upgrading from XP to Windows 7.
On a post it, he wrote down what kind of hard drive I needed and that I needed SATA cables.
I spent a little over $70 for an extra hard drive and SATA cables at Central Computers.
He told me if I went to Central Computers to get those things then he would install the hard drive for me that day which he did.
Brian asked me how much money I had left on me and I told him, $40.
He was cool with me paying $40.
If you are having problems with your computer then I suggest taking it to these guys as they are nice, do not rip you off and do not take a long time to fix your computer. -

I haven't used his service, but Jason Pan's helped out many of my friends and colleagues (most of whom don't know much about computers). And they all rave about him. So I'm posting this review on their behalf, because I feel Jason deserves some kudos.
Here's what my compadres said.
1. Jason speaks in plain English (no computer mumbo-jumbo), so a beginner can understand what's going on.
2. He's efficient; he solved their problems pretty darn quickly, which saved them money.
3. They're amazed at his special guarantee. If he can't fix the problem, he won't charge for it. All my friends got their problems fixed, so maybe Jason never gets stumped. Anyhow, I say it's very gutsy to offer that guarantee. Most IT professionals don't guarantee their work like that. -
Review from amanda b.
Jason is my favorite. My boss, if left alone with his computer for too long, will destroy it. We called Jason to set up a server for our office (because backing up files is good, malpractice is bad), and since then have called on him for all our tech needs. We've had only one problem- the printer/fax he found for us was a lemon. In response, Jason agreed to take it away, ordered a shiny new one for us, and offered to eat some of the expense of the new one, even though it wasn't his fault that the original machine was crappy.

Jason and everyone at FixSwift are fantastic! I know nothing about computers and Jason has been a godsend to my business. He responds to my emails and calls quickly. He helped us set up our computers and networking system at the office and even answers questions for me about my personal computer. I don't know what I would do without Jason and his staff. They rock!

I was looking for a place that would repair my computer or at least give me a solution for it. I had looked on Yelp and found FixSwift IT Solutions to having top ratings so judging from the content of the reviews, I figured why not.
This past Monday I brought my 2006 Acer laptop into FixSwift after work. I had serious problems loading my Acer because it just wouldn't proceed to Windows after several times of trying to load it up again and again. Brian was available and soon after I had explained to him my laptop's loading problems, he proceeded to unlock the hard drive and take a look more carefully. He already told me he spotted a problem but would have to spend more time the following day examining it. Brian called me the next day and on this past Thursday called me to inform me of some bad news on my laptop. While I was not expecting my computer could not be repaired, I was grateful that Brian mentioned my files could easily be recovered.
Overall, I think the effort FixSwift made on working on my computer and recovering my files was quick, inexpensive and definitely professional. Aside from this, Brian and the others at FixSwift are upbeat, knowledgable and you really get the impression when dealing with them that they enjoy servicing people with all kinds of computer problems. For any single user of a computer, FixSwift does a good job but I'm sure any company or small business would not hesitate to enlist their help. -

Excellent and supportive IT partner. Very responsive, superb diagnostic skills and a great job of following-up. I had them do a full system set-up of new os (Win 7) on an older ThinkPad model w/data migration and some funky hd issues. Handled seamlessly with consistent communication throughout the process. I cannot recommend them enough...thanks Brian!
