This is basically sex in  a paper bag. Five Guys Burgers and Fries will CHANGE YOUR LIFE! The Best Fast Food Chain burger I've ever had.

This midtown location is always clean, and the staff as fast and efficient even during a lunch rush. Nice job 5 Guys!

It was a moment of weakness and I just wanted a cheeseburger! Not sure why this place is famous at all. The burger was gross and all mangled.

    What's up with that?

People, haven't you heard of Shake Shack? Or the almighty In-N-Out?

    Is there a zero stat?

They advertise "all natural.".   Well MSG is all natural.  I have eaten ay three different 5 Guys, and suffered the consequences all three times.  I am allergic to MSG and its derivatives, and suffer sleep disorders,  swelling, headaches, and other disturbing side effects, all of which occurred after my visits to these restaurants.  Buyer Beware!  All natural is not always good for you!

The fries were a little overdone but they tasted good. The burger was all right. Better than average, but it was a mess. The burger does hold up well. I love the free toppings. And they have a lot so I can't complain too much about that. Better than certain burger chains, but nothing too spectacular. Usually a clean place but it does have an unwelcoming feel. Kind of depressing, actually. I'm ordering to go next time.

Great moist burgers and excellent excellent fries. However, do not go more than once per month and order the double burger and small fries. In addition to costing you $13 with a drink, you'll be visiting the Cardiologist very soon and you'll need the gym. This place is Super sized. But, oh so good. Five Guys should really offer a 1/2 order of small fries at a lower price.

Don't know why people are upset they got a greasy burger, that's the point of a greasy burger place. I don't care about customer service in a fast food place, that is just silly. They make a great burger, the fries are ok and they give you plenty. Good prices for Manhattan

I had a very bad customer service experience at this branch. A week ago the cashier charged me for a fries rather than a drink, about a $2 difference. I pointed it out. Without apologizing he handed me a buck, expecting that to be the end of it. I told him I wanted the full amount and why didn't he apologize for f**king up. He told me I was rude and using bad language. I asked for the manager and he replied that HE was. He looked around 25 years old. Sensing how riled up he was making me he handed me a receipt and told me my order was on him-again, no apology. I realized a few days later that the "adjustment" he made didn't register on my credit card. I walked in today to call his attention to what had not been done. He took my credit card, swiped it, handed it back to me with no apology. What a douche. I'm emailing corporate to call this situation to their attention. Outstandingly bad customer service has to be reported.

Now, I'm a big fan of the Five Guys. I love their philosophy, their no holds barred, everything but the kitchen sink in the bag philosophy. Rarely do I pass up on their fries if I have just a little bit more room.

This location however is a bit small, and not always well organized. It tends to get flooded with people sometimes, really making the cleaning staff work.

It does have a generously sized and consistently clean bathroom, which is hard to find in this area.

Don't find burger heaven here, but great spot for a guilty pleasure trip.

My bun was a little soggy but that may have been my fault with too many toppings.

Burgers are ok, but tried this place because Obama endorsed it a couple years back. It won't stop me from coming here when the Burger Joint has a way long line. Not the best burger, but mediocre to fix a craving.

So I gave it a second chance because of its reputation as one of the best, and I still don't get it. It's not a bad burger per se, but definitely not good either. It's just ordinary. Plain and simple. Kind of like a burger you would serve at a bbq if you just had the dudes over and weren't trying to impress anyone.

Food: the beef is fatty, low quality; the toppings (although you can get a lot) are nothing special and do not stay in the burger so you have to eat your burger and toppings separately
Service: very slow - took 10 minutes to get a "Little Cheeseburger" with no fries or drink
Value: Decent. I guess $6 for an ordinary cheeseburger is not a bad deal in midtown.
Bottom Line: only go here if you are in this area because there are no other good options. Good Burger is a much better alternative if you are near one.

no lie- their burgers are amazing. BUT (at least this location)  they have the absolute worst customer service i have ever experienced !!!!! honest - i'm a very patient guy. i have worked in food service for over 20 years. i understand mishaps and you cant always get what you want. however- these GUYS go out of their way to treat you like a piece of crap.  in a nutshell-  ordered food online about 2 months ago- my order was somehow confused with another. the other order cancelled. so over a 2 hour period- including a call from the delivery guy i never received my food. pissed.

so i wait a couple of weeks and calm down-  i decide to order again- this time i decide to pick it up to avoid confusion. they state online that if you order ahead your food will be ready when you get there- excluding the fries- which they want to make fresh. sounds good!  uh uh. when i get to this location its obvious that they havent even begun to make my order. and i'm the only customer at the counter! waiting waiting- pissed!

i wait a few more weeks to calm down- decide to try again- i love to torture myself i guess.  i order online. 10 minutes goes by- i get a call from the location " i'm the delivery manager- i just fired our delivery person. you will not be getting your food delivered.  do you want to pick it up?"  um no...thats why i ordered online for delivery? thinking in my little brain...if you are the delivery manager and you just fired your delivery person....i guess you dont have anything to manage and you are out of a job too?! btw  they charged me for the food. it took phone calls and 5 days to get my money back.

i email 5 guys and tell them my horror stories.

i get a call from an HR person.  very nice-polite. she sends me 15 dollars worth of gift cards. ( even though- at the time i was 28 dollars in the whole with them)

SOOOOOOO ... i try to use the gift cards the other day.....you cant use them for online orders....................

worst customer experience i have ever had. if u have to have 5 guys do not go to this location. and for that matter....there are so many good places to get a hamburger in nyc. why bother being treated like a piece of....sh*t?

    furious.  i email 5 guys

Not bad as far as burgers go.  I didn't get a chance to try the fries.  Free toppings is a plus.  The bun is light and tasty.  It's a sloppy burger with thick toppings.  I'd go again, but it's not to die for.

Free peanuts here and I don't know if that is for every franchise.  It is good in New York because you can then feed the squirrels that are in the park.

Tasty (greasy) burger. Not worth the wait... Just watching the sluggish retards behind the cash register and at the grill makes one's appetite evaporate. Either 5Guys hires only those who have flunked the McDonald's exam for cashier intelligence, or is not even paying them a minimum wage...

Normally I like five guys, and rate it 4-4.5, but this location is not so hot.
    I give it a 2-2.5.

I was really excited to finally try the Cajun fries.. and when I had ordered I had clearly said Cajun fries.. and when the guy double checked if I wanted a large I repeated loudly "Yes, Large CAJUN fries Please" .. he relayed "Large Cajun fry" and I quickly said "Thank you."

Unfortunately, even though there were more staff than customers, the staff were distracted. I saw someone bringing in a tray of dunkin donuts shakes to the back after I ordered and could here the girls in the chicken chatting/giggling.

My fries were definitely NOT Cajun, in fact they were not seasoned at all.. usually my fries come a little seasoned and crisped but these guys were a soggy mess. I really think the fry guy got distracted and double dipped my fries in the oil, instead of putting them in the seasoning after the oil. ICK... don't get me wrong I love fried greasy foods! But these were just soggy & bland! I was soo sad because I had high hopes.. and have always enjoyed 5 guys regular fries in the past..

I'm exceptionally averse to wasting any amount of food.. so I brought the fries home.. put them on a plate, pressed a paper towel down to soak up some of the extra grease, seasoned them myself with a salt, pepper, garlic, spice blend and reheated them in the microwave. They were still all soft & greasy.. I had to eat them with a fork LOL. Dipped in my own spicy mayo and ketchup, they ended up being pretty good and I was able to salvage them. But man was that a lot of work to get them to be edible.. and most people probably don't have the luxury of a full stocked kitchen nearby..

I love onions but they put way too much of the raw onions on my sandwich! The grilled onions were perfect, and I like raw onions.. but it was overkill.. I think I had onion coming out of my pores for the next 24 hours!

Idk whats going on with the employees/management here.. but they are giving 5 guys a bad rap! bummer, especially since this is one of the affordable options in midtown.

Living on the west coast, I've only really heard about this place so upon seeing one, I decided I had to give it a try.  Walking in, it was pretty packed.  I ordered a cheeseburger and you get your choice of what you want on the burger and they will add it on to your burger.  Not knowing much about the place, I was hungry and ordered fries and a drink.

Once I got my meal, it was huge.  The burger is big, not really a need for fries to be quite honest.  The fries were decent, nothing spectacular.  It seems to be my luck here in New York that fries are a bit of an after thought.  In this case it was OK because the burger was big.  I was full from my drink and burger alone.  I should have known better when I saw several people ordering just the burger or splitting an order of fries.  Since I was alone when I ordered, I figured why not right? Try the entire experience, but it wasn't needed.

As for the burger, it had decent flavor.  I think it really filled me up more than packed a lot of taste.  Yes, I had cheese which gave it more flavor but that was about it really.  I wasn't too impressed but it wasn't a horrible burger.  If the burger at Burger Joint is as big as the burger here, I think I would be in heaven as it would be a good combination between the two places.  Decent burger, but definitely filling.

Quick. Affordable. Comforting. Creative. Delicious. These are the words that I'll never use to describe Five Guys. Oh no, I'm serious. Dead serious. I used to work near this location and I knew quite a few people who raved about this place. They're always the ones who march back into the break room with transparent oily brown bags. Don't get me wrong, fats are great, but the sight of that just makes me want to stuff a head of lettuce into my face.

After much deliberation with myself, I finally decided to give Five Guys a chance. Little did I know, that oily brown bag was an omen to what I was about to experience. The second I open the door to this location, a burst of heavy & thick air completely envelopes me, and sweeps me off my feet. For a moment there, I thought I would to pass out. The presence of live patrons in the dining area was astonishing.

Recovering from the shock, I managed to drag myself up to the register and order myself double cheeseburger. I'm just going to take a second here to mention that the cashier seemed very uninterested and was a tad unresponsive. Not sure if it's due to prolonged exposure to the fumes. Anyway, I get my burger about 15 minutes later. A tad slow, but whatever. I Oscar-Miked myself the hell out of that gas chamber, and hightailed it back to my job.

There I was, comfortably sitting at my desk. I go in for my burger, unwrap it, only to have the entire thing fall apart in my hands. This might've been the most haphazardly put together burger I've seen; the cheese was everywhere; the toppings were on top of the bun; and the patties were coming out at opposite directions. Bah! It was aggravating to eat. And upon tasting it, I thought it was exceedingly average. Then another thought came to mind, price. These burgers are definitely overpriced for what they are. I believe I could get something of the same quality at many of the nearby burger joints. All in all, I can't find a single reason for me to ever come back to Five Guys, not unless there's a bribe involved.

Finally went to Five Guys because I had a massive craving for a burger.  The burgers are good, satisfied my craving but I would not say these are the best burgers.  However, for a "fast food joint" joint they are pretty good.   I wouldn't compare these to a Quality Meats burger or anything but far surpasses McDonald's and In and Out on the west coast.  The fries however did actually taste like real potatoes which is very nice and a bit of a change.  Also the quantity of food is very good.  That is actually impressive.  The burgers were a good size and the fries... well lets just say they literally scoop a second helping into the bag.  So, when I want another greasy burger to satisfy my junk food craving this is def where I'll go.  Other than that, not so much.

My bf suggested we come to this place since they had a decent amount of ratings for the area that we were in.

We both ordered the "Little Cheeseburger" which has a single beef patty. What is unique about this place is that you can have as many FREE toppings as you like. You have to request for things that you usually do not have to ask for at another burger joint like ketchup and mayo. Other toppings include:
       Relish
       Onions
       Pickles
       Grilled Onions
       Grilled Mushrooms
       Mustard
       Jalapeno Peppers
       Green Peppers
       A.1.® Steak Sauce
       Bar-B-Q Sauce
       Hot Sauce

    Impressive, right?!

We also ordered the REGULAR fries that is good for 2 people! Our orders came in a brown bag that was lined with oil. I had to take a picture of how oily our bag was. Our burgers were wrapped in foil. The presentation was a mush burger when unraveled. I do not mind at all. I just cared about the taste.

Unfortunately, we were sorely disappointed. With all the built up anticipation from hype all the signs proudly strewn across the restaurant walls of all the awards they received in WASHINGTON, the burger tasted similar to the one you can get at anyone's backyard bbq.

My boyfriend noticed that some of the awards dated back to 2009. Yikes that is awhile back in terms of what is in or out with the food craze or taste. WASHINGTON, D.C?! I was in New York.

UPDATE: I went to the Five Guys in the Washington Dulles International Airport. Nope, was not digging the burgers there either.

This location only gets 3 stars.

5 guys itself gets 4.5; I love their burgers and I've eaten them in at least 8 major cities.

I came here with my sister, 15 minutes before the opened. Door was unlocked, they said they weren't open yet. No problem.

We take a walk around the block, come back and it's a minute before opening. Close enough right? Nope. The lady asked us to leave as they are still not open. We exit, wait 30 seconds, literally, and walk back in.

What was the freakin point of that, lady?

This review is for the Veggie burger at Five Guys.

My vegetarian friend suggested we go to this place before we start our night.  I thought it was a strange suggestion coming from my friend who is a vegetarian.  My friend wanted to try the veggie burger.  As for me, I just came from a banquet so I just got to watch my friend eat.  We ordered my friends burger and the guy asked what toppings we wanted.  We gave him a laundry list of toppings.  When we got the burger there was no veggie patty, it was a sandwich of toppings!   My friend felt fleeced!   Next time it will be Subway!   But I will come back to Five Guys for burgers!   I'm glad I'm not a vegetarian.

I think five stars is pretty self explanatory, but-
I'm partial towards burgers. If I could eat them all day, everyday, I would.
I especially love Five Guys because you can customize them and add jalapeno peppers. Not a huge fan of the fries, but the burgers are always good.
For a fast food joint, it's at the top of my list.

Best excuse for an unhealthy, high calorie, juicy, finger lickin' good burger on the East Coast. I love Five Guys!

My favorite part is the fact that you get to customize it to exactly the way you want it. Sauteed mushrooms as a standard? Yes please! Jalepenos, green peppers, carmalized onions, pickles, lettuce, tomato, you name it (from the menu), you got it.

Always delicious, never nutritious, a once in a while treat. :)

My burger was tasty (by burger, I mean the two separate patties they give you for the regular size, as opposed to one for a mini). I love bacon and cheese on top of meat. I love that there's a nice variety of toppings that they will throw on there for free, grilled mushrooms especially. I like that they have free peanuts. I like the fries.

    But.

My bacon cheeseburger ran me about $8. Fries, another $3.  I got a bottle of water ($2), because the shot glass that they call a water cup would mean I'd have to get up and down 5 times while eating.  So with tax, lunch was about $15.

There was a long wait to order, and a longer wait for the food.  All told, we were in Five Guys for about an hour.

The ketchup pump ran out, and the staff was too busy to change it. This wouldn't have been a problem if they had put more than a drop of BBQ sauce on my burger.

As we waited, our conversation was punctuated (usually midsentence) by constant announcements of which order number was up.

If I wanted to pay $15 to eat an hour-long lunch of a bacon cheeseburger and fries, I'd go into a bar or an actual restaurant.  (In an ideal world) I would get a thick, juicy, medium-rare burger that would INCLUDE fries.  I would be seated the entire time.  A waiter would bring me a tall glass of water, refill it at my request, and provide any condiments I might need.  And there would be no blaring of numbers over a loudspeaker.

This is fast food. Decent fast food, I admit; but at real food prices, with a real food wait.

    Mmm...haterade tastes good.

Who are these 5 guys and how do I give them a kiss on the mouth?

    Lets see....

*huge points for having peanuts while you are waiting for your greasy food. I don't know what it is about getting peanut shells stuck in your heals but it totally makes me hungry for a burger!

*big phat made to order burgers with all the (free) toppings you could desire? Yes please!

*Freshly cut fries....served in an overflowing paper bag? Um...who would turn this down???

Downside? They are a bit on the slow side...so just be prepared to wait a bit for your grub...but once you get the burgers and fries in your hot little hands you will not be sorry!!

(p.s....the burgers are pretty large. A regular one is actually 2 patties...so the "little" burger can certainly feed most peoples meat cravings)

I avoided going back for a really long time but then someone brought Five Guys into the break room and shared Cajun Fries and it smelled so good that I had to have one. Even though the last time I had them I thought it tasted like dirt, these were perfectly seasoned. Now I'm a convert. Still prefer In 'N' Out but this'll do for now.

Grilled Cheese 'All The Way' and Cajun Fries.

It's just how I like it done.

Came with my Burger Buddy Heather H to check out the supposed rival of Burger Joint here in Midtown.  It was yummy, but ultimately underwhelming.  Big and greasy, check.  Tons of toppings (including sauteed mushrooms and fried onions!!) for no extra charge, check plus.  But it's no contest in terms of taste and flavor of the beef.  Burger joint wins hands down.

So why four stars?  The fries.  My God the fries.  Hand cut, fried to perfection, and spiced!  Some kind of salt, paprika blend of yumminess.  And a "regular" size is enough to feed a family of four.  I'll be back for the fries, but my greasy burger heart remains in the Parker Meridian.

I'm definitely glad that Five Guys just opened up a burger joint on 55th Street, 'cause I didn't already have enough artery-clogging options in Midtown, such as Burger Joint in the Parker Meridien.

Having lived in the DC area for several years, Five Guys offered the best burger in DC and they definitely didn't disappoint in the Mid-Atlantic region.  However, NYC is the major leagues, and it'll be interesting to see how Five Guys performs alongside Burger Joint, Shake Shack, Corner Bistro, Brgr, etc.

Whereas a Burger Joint burger may be that hipster girl who lives in Midtown and wears designer skinny jeans (with some rips to look cool), a Five Guys burger is like the sorority girl from college who wears tank-top and 501 jeans and you just can't get enough of her.

Five Guys doesn't skimp on their burgers and if you order a regular burger, be ready for a baseball-sized patty of beef.  If you're not looking for a coma to follow your lunch, order the little burger instead.  Also be prepared for a mess, as their burgers are like the ones your uncle used to grill at a summer picnic.  They offer a multitude of toppings (unlike Burger Joint) for your burger, so take your pick.  The fries are similar to boardwalk fries and I can't get enough of that cajun seasoning.

By the way, I also love how they've got open boxes of peanuts to munch on as you wait for your order.  If you're allergic to peanuts, it sucks to be you.

So I finally gave in & boot-scooted myself over the 1/2 block from work I needed to venture through to get to the local Five Guys.

The hamburger was pretty good, I'd definitely have it again. The cajun fries were fuckin' awesome & the over-serving of such was phenomenal...even my co-worker benefited from my trip, since there was no way in hell I could have finished all of those fries.

I had heard about comparisons to In & Out...and although definitely not on the I&O level, I'd go back...if I was looking to spend a lil' extra on lunch or if someone else was paying. The prices seem to add up when you'r looking to have a burger, fries & a drink in this joint.

I had to stop by today after our Soho trip and get a great baconcheeseburger with their awesome fries.

I had the burger with grilled onions and mushroooms....just outfuckingstanding!

I was dying to eat here......just got that craving.

The burgers are just like In and Out....but much better..........!

I just wish we had Five Guys in the SF Bay Area....the last time I ate at Five Guys was back in DC last year....

Another reason to love NY and the East Coast......

Five Guys Burgers and Fries is the real deal! These guys never disappoint me. The burgers here are juicy and packed with great flavor. The fries here are amazing!

Food - Pick a burger and choose your toppings! I once asked for jalapenos but they gave me some other hot ass peppers that was hotter than jalapenos. That shit straight up murdered my mouth.

Drinks - Stick with soda for this place.

Service - Fast food style so expect your orders to be ready quick unless you're ordering a lot.

Verdict - Hit this place up fo sho! If you're out drinking and lookin for a quick bite that hits the spot, this is definitely your place.

Not bad, but certainly doesn't live up to the hype. I knew it wouldn't.

This place has the BEST fries. The hand cut form fries are great and tasty and worth every penny.

The burger is just ok. Not bad at all, but not worth coming back for. The toppings are all for free which is nice though.

The atmosphere is horrendous. Just boring and ugly. Everyone I went with hated the atmosphere.

    Price was ok for NY.

Everything is just OK about this place, except for the great fries.

This place is just ok. Nowhere compares to Burger Joint, JG Melon's or Shake Shack.

Love it or hate it I had to review Five Guys, I know it's a chain but some times in life you have to make an exception for good burgers. Most foodies like myself have been anticipating the Five Guys Famous Burgers and Fries to open its doors in Manhattan located on 43 W 55th St (between 5th Ave & Avenue Of The Americas).

Their "famous" burgers come with one patty called Little Hamburger ($4.25) or 2 patties called Hamburger ($5.75) - genius. All fresh ground beef never frozen (sounds a little familiar) and fries (reg. $2.75) are all fresh cut and fried fresh (also sounding very familiar). What makes Five Guys stand out from other hamburger eateries is that fact that they give you the options of Free topping ranging from Mayo, Relish, Onions, Lettuces, Pickles, Tomatoes, A-1 Sauce, Sauteed Mushrooms...etc. I could go on but that would take all day. So being a CheapAss I had to get my moneys worth, I asked the counter women if it was possible to have all the toppings with my order of little burger, she said that was call "All The Way" - I like the sound of that!

One order of "All the Way" for me, and a Cheeseburger (2 patties) with lettuces, tomatoes, jalapeno and ketchup for Kenneth, along side of small fries and coke (free refills). As I waited for our order we grabbed some free peanuts to hold back the hunger, the really nice thing about it was a huge barrel that was just sitting there for the taking. Munching on my nuts I couldn't help but notice all the awards and accolades that the Five Guys have won over the years, which made my expectations a little bit higher then usual.

After all the anticipations and expectations my food has arrived, and I got to say - not bad. Ok may it was better than that but I think I might have made a rookie mistake by ordering my burger " All the Way" which made my burger way too cold firstly, and secondly I didn't know what I was eating, most of the flavor came from the relish (which by the way is not my favorite condiment but tolerate).

Kenneth hamburger however was warm and tasty with a nice bite of jalapenos, the patties were juicy with a fresh beefy taste, could have like it cooked medium rare but I think their policy is that they cook it well done no matter what. The buns definitely held up to the beef, however I found it to be to sweet and over powering the patty flavor and too dense and doughy which also took away from the burger as a whole. The fries on the other hand, no complaints at all it was the most wonderful fried edible I have ever eaten, hands down the best fries I have eaten in a very long time. The fries comes all the way from Idaho cooked in peanut oil for high heat, comes out slightly crisp with a fluffy and creamy texture, perfect paired with ketchup.

    RANTS & RAVES:
I still prefer the burgers in In and Out but the fries in Five Guys have every one beat and you can't beat free peanuts.

Drinks are 2 bucks but the refills are free, also they have kosher hot dogs, and veggies or grilled cheese for those not in the mood for burger.

Some people LOVE five guys burgers (like my bf), however, like the number of stars I'm giving them, they are "meh" to me.

They do make the burgers fresh, and they do load on free condiments and toppings for you to pick and choose from.  However, you pick and choose when you order and for some reason, they always get mine wrong!  They do have unique fries (long and semi-fat -- in between shoestring and steak fries) with a nice cajun spice, but the portions are way too gargantuan...I disapprove (b/c I'm likely to eat more than I should!).

However, at the end of the day, I think the burgers just don't taste as good as those at In'N'Out.  I think it's because I am addicted to the Spread.

The Mayor and I decided to make a burger run and try out this new offering in midtown.  Besides finding out that the Mayor is especially good at a certain form of expectorating (my what a guy!), this is what I learned about Five Guys.

Five Guys could be so good, but it comes off as kind of mediocre.  I mean, free peanuts?  Woo.  A veritable cornucopia of fixin's?  Awesome.    Hand-cut french fries?  Excellent.  Perfectly crispy bacon?  Rocking.

But sadly, there's more:  American cheese?  Are you kidding me?  Yellow mustard?  What is this, high-end McDonald's?

I wish I could review Five Guys more favorably, but I cannot.  Two steps up from McDonald's, two steps below Burger Joint.

I came here recently to have one of their burgers and to try their Cajun fries. Sadly, I've discovered that this place is no longer my second favorite burger spot. It held that 2nd place spot for a long time, and it fought off many worthy opponents. However, a lot happens over the course of a year. I've sampled a lot of other burger establishments.

Well, I finally had an opportunity to revisit this spot, and I didn't enjoy my burger as much as I had a over a year ago. The burger was, in a word, dry (fyi: they only cook to well-done). My toppings were fine: mayo, bacon, and tomato. The fact is, I've been spoiled with better burgers. I miss squeezing my burger and having it squirt juices back at me. I miss a burger patty that is soft and tender to the bite, I miss that char-broiled flavor.

Regardless, the burger was good and tasty, the peanuts are still free, and the soft drinks are still AYCD. In fact, I sampled their Cajun fries, and those fries are very good. They add a touch of spice to their already great fries, and enhance them just the right amount. Definitely one of the better seasoned fries I've tried.

I hadn't noticed my first few visits, but the prices are quite high for a fast food meal. Burger, reg. fries, and reg. drink came out to $14. Not quite the recession buster I'm searching for these days.

Tip: order the regular size soda since refills are free. And, they give you way too much fries. Unless you're feeding a small battalion, skip the large and just order the regular size. That'll be enough for you and a friend to share.

See my review of 5 guys, Lakeland, FL. (aka., "The Quest for Burgaciousness, Chapter 4"):

    http://www.yelp.com/bi...

While the layout of this place is far from ideal (narrow, and packed with tables and boxes of peanuts), the burger stands up to scrutiny.

Sorry, but even MENTIONING this place in the same review, in the same sentence in the same UNIVERSE with McDonalds (which I'm doing only out of necessity to dispel the absolute nonsense of that idea) is a TRAVESTY.

No, they don't have their sh*t quite together yet, so wait a month until they have it down, but this a  seriously BURGACIOUS burger.

    Please.

    Just sayin'.
