I went to Julian the other day to have a really bad tattoo fixed. The original tattoo was done at living colour in Ottawa, (don't go there). The tattoo that I walked into 5 Cents with caused me so much embarrassment. The tattoo that I left 5 Cents with is one that I am proud to have on my body. It's completely different and so much better.
Julian is professional and extremely talented. He has artistic vision.
I absolutely love what he did and I can't wait till he's finished my tattoo.
His new shop and Gallery is a beautiful space. The other artist working there is Joel who was also a sweet heart; and his work is also really good.
My only complaint is that I didn't go there first. I knew I was in good hands when I got there. It took about 2 months to get my appointment with Julian; which is also a very good sign. It was well worth the wait.
I found that the pictures of his work on the web site don't really do him justice. When you see his work in person it's so beautiful. His use of colour and shading is brilliant. His tattoos look like paintings. -

Five Cents is a custom tattoo shop run by phenomenal dudes who do phenomenal work.
Pretty much all of my friends have either gotten work done there, currently are getting work done there or will be getting work done there in the near future.
I plan on making the trip back to Ottawa at some point soon to see these dudes.
Need I say more?
