all the sandwiches, plates, and salads are amazing. i've liked everything that i've tried (which is like 80% of the menu).

the frozen yogurt is incredible. it's served with fruit toppings, and seriously the best froyo i've ever had in the world. it also advertises it as 90 calories, but i don't know how that can be true since it's sooooo good.

It's sad to see places go down-hill after a successful few months/years.  This is exactly what happened to Fit for Life.

The ingredients used to be so fresh.  Now, I get brown lettuce and dried tomatoes in my salad.  And for someone who is gluten intolerant, I am already limited to my choices for food.

I hope to see some changes and have this place turned back around.

I totally agree with the other reviewer who said that Fit For Life has gone downhill.  I, too, have dietary restrictions which greatly reduce my options for food establishments.  I have frequented Fit For Life since it first opened and generally eat there 1-3 times a week.  (I work less than a block away)

While the quality of the food hasn't significantly gone down the overall experience of going there certainly has.  Prices went up about the time I noticed serving sizes go down (specifically the chicken and beef), and the friendly & efficient staff are gone, replaced with staff who seem lost, take forever and don't know how to run the cash register.  It seems I leave there more and more disappointed each time.

It's a total shame, but I'll be spending my lunch money somewhere else going forward.

I could go to Fit for Life for lunch 5 days a week if I had to. It's located at the back of a magazine shop on Pender, and might be easy to miss if you don't notice the sign outside. At first I thought it was a single location, but since learned that they have quite a number of stores in the Toronto area, and another in Metrotown Centre.
The menu freshly prepared wraps, falafels salads, delicious soups, and now featuring veggie and steak burritos, mostly in the $5-$7 range, and combinations with soup and drink come in at under $10.  Service is casual and quick, and there are seats available if you wish to stay.
Get yours grilled. My favourites are the falafel sandwich, or the mediterranean chicken salad. And don't forget to get a 'buy 9 get one free' stamp card.

Absolutely phenomenal. I had a gigantic gulp of lentil soup for less than $5 (passed on the offered whole wheat bread though). Girls at the counter all smiled at me. All this as I had nearly lost all hope of ever finding an affordable healthy food joint in Vancouver. Will return again and again.
