We were looking for an alternative to doggy daycare for our very active dog. Previously, we brought him once a week to Urbandog, but it was so expensive ($40 per day). Also, I wasn't too excited about him being stuck in a warehouse type facility for the majority of the day.
A friend of a friend recommended Fit Dogs. For $23 you get door-to-door service. They take the dogs out to a private property in Ajax and give them a good run. By the time my dog returns, he is one pooped pooch.
This is only one of many services Fit Dog offers. If you have a dog that could benefit from extra exercise or socializing and you live in their area, I think they are a great option. -

Used them for several months and thought things were going well. Was a bit concerned about the safety of driving 10 dogs in a minivan on the highway for hours, but the thought of our dog running free in the woods while we were at work was even more appealing. One day, we get a phone call that the dog has a small injury and we should come by their office to pick him up. Dexter had a 4 inch slash in his shoulder with the skin flapping and muscle exposed. I'd never seen such an injury on a dog. It required 12 stitches, general anesthesia and a week later metal staples. Despite Dexter going with fit dogs 3 to 4 times a week, they didn't so much as call to see how he was doing, didn't offer any apology, and worse yet, they claimed that they don't know what happened. So, either they have too many dogs to properly supervise, there was a car accident, another dog attacked and they are covering it up, or there was some dangerous material on their property. It could have been an innocent accident and I probably would have been satisfied had they shown some concern, but their lack of interest and genuinely terrible customer service in lieu of the situation is inexcusable. My lawyer says I should sue despite their waiver which I'm told holds no ground in court. I'm on the fence. Prior to this incident I would have thought them miracle workers but thought it best to at least give people an incite to my expensive experience with them.

We've been using Fit Dogs as a dog walking service for over a month and they are fantastic, especially for high energy breeds as they take the dogs out of the city to run off leash. I really can't speak highly enough about the service and staff.

Sigh. They brought in a different groomer and my experience was the complete opposite of the last two times. My dog looks ridiculous.
