Review from Jaimeson B.
Barrie, ON
Been twice now and both times I have been rather impressed. The place sports a "Florida Feel" as my mother put it. We were seated in a large booth which could comfortably seat 6 large rear ends. While it was a little hard to hear people across the table in our booth (because of the really high ceiling) the feeling of privacy for our table was great.
The servers were friendly and accommodating even thought someone pretended to be a Birks and actually stole our reservation! Yeah thats right someone showed up at 715 pm and must have read the list at the hostesses table. They said they were us and they were there early. I really wanted to go over and meet them as they could be long lost family maybe invite them to some family functions, but i decided to spare them the embarrassment and allow karma to work its course. Well that aside
The menu sports a moderate selection of ocean and lake dwelling life. The salads are very well done and make for a great meal. The Clam Chowder is the best I have had without being within walking distance of an Ocean. Most portion sizes are moderately large with the "Famous Fried Fish" (1 piece) being HUGE. (but if you get the 2 piece Haddock its ALL-U-CAN-EAT) High five to anyone who makes it to the second plate.
You can expect to pay $15 to $30 per entree (with a few higher). But a plane ticket for you to go to your food would cost you more. I'll definatly be going back again to sample the Swordfish or Red Snapper.
