This review is for their chicken katsu only, which was pretty damn good. Came here with a friend after the original place we wanted to eat at was closed on a saturday :( who isn't open on saturdays?!
They use real panko, the chicken is of a good size, and perfectly fried :D -

Looking for local sushi places near my place, I came across this place. Of course I yelp and check out other reviews. Overall it was positive, but actually going to this place I was not impressed. Look this place is great for family settings, or for lunch. As I walked in I noticed it was a small cozy place, and the lights were on so bright. I felt like i was at an office. They need to make this place more relaxing and inviting.
The sushi was good, not bad at all. Just wasn't thrilled about the ambiance. -
Review from Lisa W.
More like a flavor attack sushi house! I had a feeling that this place was your local sushi house if you live around here. I saw that the people that came in all knew the waitress or the sushi chef. It's not on a busy "Asian street" aka Convoy, so it's a lot different here. I came around 6:45pm and there wasn't anybody, then 10 minutes later, the place got packed fast!
My friends and I ordered the seaweed salad, albacore sashimi, hot kiss roll, rainbow roll, and I think the shrimp tempura roll. It was good, I think the hot kiss roll can be more spicy. The albacore "white tuna" wasn't the butterfish white tuna that I though it was, but it was still tasty.
We finished off with the fried green tea ice cream. Which was really good. The tempura on it wasn't all greasy, it was like "healthy" dessert. -

This place was recommended to Steve so we tried it late on Saturday night.
He loves this place and I am pretty sure it is because of the sauces they use. I prefer to taste the fish, it is why I eat fish raw.
The Fish Attack Roll which was okay, the sauce was delicious.
The Thousand Island Roll was wrapped with cucumber (in lieu of rice). It was okay.
The Cucumber Sunomono with Octopus was outstanding, as was the cold filtered Sake.
The service was excellent. I just wish I liked it more because it is so close. The prices are good but quality is more important to me.
Will try again. -

These guys were great. I got there just when they opened and everybody greeted me, the chef, waitress and even the cook in the back made sure I was taken care of.
Oh yeah, the sushi was fantastic!!! -

My new go-to sushi spot in San Diego. Excellent price to performance ratio.
Great service and very high quality fish. Mike and Phil are rockstars. -

Again, I'm reluctant to write this review because this place has become my new favorite sushi spot (..for the price) and i dont want it to be more crowded than it already is, haha! Its a hidden gem!
This small family owned place is super casual and cozy. Everyone here is really friendly/sweet - and they accommodate your order to include/remove anything you don't want (there was a particular roll i really wanted, but didn't want it spicy and wanted to include salmon - i got all this at no extra charge - YAY!) The fish is REALLY fresh and the slices are thick (quality at this price is trly hard to find)! Everyone at our table was impressed.
Here's the skinny:
- Complimentary edamame - YAH!
- Hand rolls $4.25
- Other rolls range between $7-$13
- Large hot sake $5
- Large Sapporo $5.50
- Green tea ice cream $2
- Grilled salmon plate $7
The soft shell crab appetizer is yummy.. i love when they deliver this to the table, cuz it's truly a soft shell crab cut in half - not in tiny pieces like some restaurants do it! .. and the stuffed mushrooms are SUPER yummy too! It's deep fried with chunks of shrimp inside, this was by far my favorite!
We had a table of 6 and our bill came out to be $140.. not too shabby! .. this place was packed by 7pm - so get there early! ..oh, and dont come here expecting it to be like the fancier sushi places, cuz its not.Listed in: Asian food in San Diego!

I've found my new sushi spot! I didn't have a problem with anything, so I couldn't believe how low the prices were for what I was getting. Only word of advice is do not order the edamame.. they gave it to us for free but the texture was... mushy almost. Would've felt jipped had I paid for it. Now onto the food:
1. Appetizers: Seaweed salad was plentiful and tasty. Hawaii Poke was really good but crazy spicy! I'm usually pretty tolerant of spicy foods too but all 3 of us grabbed the water instantly after we had our second bite.
2. BBQ eel bowl: not bad at all, but pretty plain.. it was literally just unagi, the rice and the sauce. Maybe put some avocado or fish eggs in there or something? Or at least some Kaiware sprouts.
3. Hot Kiss Roll & Hot Lover Roll: both were very very good. My friend and I shared both so I was interchanging between the two rolls and couldn't decide which one I liked better. If I had to choose though, I would probably say Hot Kiss.. Fish was fresh, sauce wasn't excessive, something you should try if you don't know what to order and like spicy tuna
And to top it all off they have great service. Staff is super friendly and when they were boxing our sushi, they asked if I would like wasabi and ginger as well.. that's a first! I'll be back again for sure. Can't beat the food at those prices and you don't have to sacrifice customer service for it -

I came here last night at 7 with my Big Sis, Grace H. here on yelp for her late birthday dinner. We were seated immediately which was nice.
They brought out a complimentary dish of edamame and we proceeded to order the Fish Attack House special roll, Hot Kiss Roll, and sashimi.
The Fish Attack House roll was absolutely delicious, with fresh warm eel and nicely presented.
The other two however, were very disappointing. The hot kiss roll consisted of small, measly pieces. Nothing too special. Just really standard. I heard about the hype on yelp but sorry guys, it's a gripe for me!
Talking about the sashimi makes me very disappointed. When I first saw the waitress bring out the dish, I was thinking to myself..."um, where's the rest of it!"
I'll admit my sashimi taste buds may be a little spoiled from my past Sushi Ota experiences, but the texture of the sashimi at Fish Attack House wasn't tender or remotely close. Maybe I came on a bad night but poo, biggest waste of ten dollars. :( -

It's soooooooooooooo slowww here -_____-" who waits 25-30 min for a regular roll, then another few minutes after that for their specialty rolls? Granted, their fish did taste super fresh... but cmonn.. 25-30 min for them to just churn out a philly roll? :(
I know this is a family-owned type establishment, but this place is severely understaffed. The only guy that was running around the restaurant told us it was gonna be a 15 min or more wait..... with two open tables and two parties ahead of us...wut? Nevertheless, we got seated in like 5 minutes. ptth. when we got seated, we flagged him down and said we were ready to order. He said that a waitress was going to have to get our order, and that it was his "first day working here." LIES! If it was his first day working there, he was running around the restaurant like he weas the boss already.
Our waitress was realllllllly nice, and she had the most gentle voice hahah.
+1 star for the tasty sushi
+1 star for the waitress -

I can't believe I never went here despite working down the street (literally) from them. Their location is a bit hidden, and you might have to make a u-turn depending on which direction you're heading. Ah well, maybe that's a good thing so that I'll never have to worry about waiting for a table.
I came in for lunch on a Saturday and was pleasantly surprised with the Nippon-infused decor. Very fun to look at, although the music playing is definitely not Japanese. It's cozy inside, but seating is roomy enough so that you're not elbowing anyone at the bar.
The waiter was kind enough to shoot me some recommendations as it was my first visit. I'll admit - I was overwhelmed because everything he mentioned sounded delicious! I just settled on the garden salad and a kamikaze roll, as I was dining for one (yes, I know; FOREVER ALONE T_T). The salad had a sweet citrus and ginger flavor, topped with sesame seeds. Very tasty, I must say. The kamikaze roll consisted of salmon, yellowtail, snow crab meat, scallop, asparagus, spicy mayo, and teriyaki sauce. The fish was melt-in-your-mouth-delicious and tasted super fresh. The cuts were generous and had the perfect amount of sauce.
Super friendly staff and the food came out in a timely manner. My cup was never empty, and I'm the type who drinks a lot of water while I eat. Pricing is affordable without sacrificing quality.
Now if only I can round up a FASH lunch group. Get it? .... Wakka wakka... ;/ -

We came here on a whim for dinner on Valentine's... which explains the wait. There were 2 parties ahead of us and waited approximately 45 minutes to get seated. The hostess was awfully sweet though, which I appreciated. They only had 1 busser so it took a while for the tables to get cleaned up for us to get seated.
We ordered the firecracker roll, super spicy tuna roll, and the fish attack special roll. The firecracker roll was verrrrrry yummy! Loved every single part of it. Super spicy tuna roll was NOT super spicy, but DID have a whole lot of tuna. Maybe they call it "super" because of the amount of tuna... and not particularly "super spicy" haha. Surprisingly though, I did not enjoy the fish attack special roll. The different types of fish on top just kind of mushed together in my mouth and didn't taste all that great. If I came back, I'd probably just re-order the firecracker and skip the other two.
The sushi chefs here are very meticulous about their work, which makes for great sushi made with lots of attention to detail. However, that also means you'll have to wait a little longer for each roll to come out. About 5-10 minutes passed between getting each roll. No complaints, just something you might want to keep in mind if you're pressed for time.
We asked for the bill and left since we had to meet up with people afterwards and got out of there quickly. Service was great and they gave us a small bowl of edamame to munch on while we waited for our first roll. It aint no Sushi Deli so it's a tad bit more expensive for the special rolls. Dainty little place, quite decent.. probably more of a 3.5 stars. -

This sushi joint has so much potential!
I arrived at Fish Attack STARVING for some sashimi and sushi, and because I have "Yelped" this place before choosing it for dinner with my little sis, I was anxious to try those beautifully crafted rolls that I have seen through the pictures on Yelp.
Too bad the service was slow. It is understandable though, since they are quite understaffed with the amount of customers the get. They made up for it by handing out complimentary salted edamame before our rolls and sashimi arrived-- plus, they were very sweet and generous. The first dish to arrive was our sashimi-- 2 slices each of raw salmon, red snapper, and albacore. They were TINY, and did not come with rice. I was slightly disappointed, but the quality of the fish was excellent. It was just not worth it-- almost $10 for 6 measly pieces.
Next, our rolls arrived. I forgot about how expensive our first dish was once I took bites out of the Hot Kiss Roll and Fish Attack Roll (I forgot what it was really called, but I think it is their main speciality roll). These rolls were creative, fresh, and absolutely delicious. This restaurant has great food, despite it being new.
I wish I may give Fish Attack a rating of 3.5-- too bad there isn't that option. Overall, the food is wonderful; however, the only issues I have with this place are the high prices and the slow service, which of course, is simply because they are understaffed. But other than that, YUUUUUMMMM. -

My mouth is watering just thinking of this restaurant!
Every time I eat here I find this place very personable. I run into the same servers who always have a smile. The food is great too! I always order the Fish Attack Roll. The sauce is delicious and the presentation is festive. I recently went for my birthday and they accommodated a decent group size even though the restaurant is not that large.
I've heard the service is slow but I've never really noticed it. I'm either too busy with the complimentary edamame or having a few sake bombs. I've also ordered take-out when I get that sushi craving and it is always ready on time.
The location is also great if you don't want to battle the traffic into PB or downtown. The parking lot is small but I've never had trouble finding a spot.
I will be back again and again! -

Fish Attack is on point.
Met some friends here early Friday evening. They don't take reservations so you might have to wait a short while to get seated but it's really not too bad at all.
Looks like you won't normally have trouble parking because, in addition to their own lot, there's an overflow lot and plenty of street parking around (all free/non-metered I think).
We were a party of 7 and we split 8 different rolls... all of which were quite tasty (good to very good). I can't remember the names of all of the rolls we had but we definitely had the Kamikaze Roll, the Flower Roll, and the Fish Attack Roll. Before the rolls started rolling in we got started with some gyoza (decent), fresh seaweed salad (good), and miso soup (good). The edamame wasn't bad either (not the best I've had but they were good... and complimentary).
The price was right. The staff was kind and they also kept the tea and other drinks comin'. I'll definitely be back and look forward to trying out their tempura fried green tea ice cream (we were too full to get any dessert our first time around)!
P.S.- They've got at least 1 flat screen TV there at Fish Attack which was playing some college hoops when we stopped in. -

We were very impressed with the food, the service, and the price. The highlight was the sashimi. Thickest cuts of fish that I have seen in a sushi place. Very fresh and melts in your mouth. The salmon was great and the maguro was very good as well. Other rolls and entres were tasty too. We were very full and ready for the bill. Amazingly, it was under $30. Other places are easily 2X with lesser quality. Would recommend and go again.

We actually came here due to the review on yelp. We were headed to the movie theater just down the street and wanted to have dinner before.
We were so pleased with our meal. The prices are excellent too. I highly recommend this place to anyone who likes good quality sushi. The service is excellent as well. I don't think my water or green tea ever became half full.
I'm most certainly coming back to try the rest of there specialty rolls. I had the phoenix roll and was soooooooooooo happy. My boyfriend had the flower roll which was very tasty as well. -

5 stars for sure! Although I have no idea what they say when you walk in, I love this place! Service is outstanding, fish is really fresh and they don't put a ton of rice in their rolls. I've been raving about this place to my friends who are stuck in the PB sushi rut.. The only thing I would change is the name.. What's a fish attack?

This place is an awesome hidden surprise in Clairemont! The prices are fairly good, and the employees are extremely nice and friendly. We tried 4 rolls, and loved every one. The rolls weren't as filling as some other places I've been, but the prices were good, and everything was really tasty.
I was happy overall with our experience, especially because they support UCSD Masters Swimming! Woot! We will certainly return soon to try more rolls! -
Review from Denise K.
This is a fun sushi place; you come here for the rolls. This place has reasonable prices and their rolls are made with real blue crab meat - not the imitation krab meat found at Sushi Diner, Sushi Deli or Nozomi. I'd also say Fish Attack has fresher fish than the said competitors.
We ordered:
The Fish Attack Special Roll - pretty good. Pretty presentation for the sauce that accompanies this roll.
Sushi Pizza - delicious. I wish it was bigger.
Kamikaze Roll - pretty good.
Nothing is too outstanding here but it's got a great price point, it's a good place to eat some fun rolls and talk to the sushi chefs. This is a good joint for the Clairemont area. -

I've been here three times, and I like it here a lot. I love the friendly casual laid back atmosphere. The first two times I was here I came with a large group of friends and had a chance to taste a little bit of everything. And those little bits tasted great.
The third time was a little disappointing, the place was crowded and understaffed that day. Everything was just taking a really long time, and they were as accommodating as they could have been, I'm sure it was just an off day. I won't hold it against them. When everything did come out, it was good like I knew it would be. I also ordered a chicken teriyaki this time, and I don't know what was going on, but the portion size was definitely significantly smaller than usual.
I am coming back another time, giving them another chance to redeem my last experience. i am confident they will meet my expectations again, but if they don't. Sigh, I'll just be really really sad, and will have to figure out another place to meet my needs. NEEDS.NEEDS.NEEDS. -

This place made me open an account on Yelp so I could comment! First of all, I found this little place by accident. I was getting some alterations on my coat nearby and needed gas. At the gas station (caddy-corner) I spotted this place and asked the attendant if it was good, to which she replied that she had heard good things about it..
Good things, I MUST SAY! This is my new spot right here. Doesn't look like much from the outside, but traditional Japanese inside. GREAT SERVICE! Very pleasant and attentive were the waitresses. The chef remembered me, and even remembered what I ate the first time I came in. I like that because it shows that he has interest in satisfying his customers.
I've had numerous plates here and everything is EXCELLENT! The fish is very fresh; the dishes are delicately prepared with attention to detail. Any wait is WELL WORTH it, and the prices are astronomically reasonable! I really cannot say enough about this place, but I will visit regularly now that I have moved to San Diego. This is as good as it gets! Just disregard any negative comments anyone else has made. I love this place! Thick pieces of fish.. Definately no rice burritos here. -

A Yelp success story! I found Fish Attack Sushi House on Yelp and was impressed by the positive reviews...In an area full of sushi places it really stood out to me.
Hungry before a Wednesday evening movie and with an hour to kill, we decided on Fish Attack Sushi House over the places in Clairemont Square as a restaurant experience always takes the perfect amount of time.
There was a decent but not full crowd in the restaurant and we were greeted and seated immediately. The staff was super friendly and sweet. We ordered three rolls for two people which was the perfect amount of food. One thing that really impressed me was the fantastic prices on the specialty rolls!
Cherry Blossom Roll: Delicious. The fish was super fresh and melted in your mouth.
Spicy Crunchy Shrimp Roll: The perfect blend of sweet, spice and yummy crunch. My favorite roll of the night (probably b/c I chose it).
Vegas Roll: Yummy but the slices are huge. Definitely one of those rolls you have to shove in your mouth and rudely chomp on with your hand over your mouth...worth it!
The parking lot is teeny-tiny BUT the food is worth the hassle of parking.
Overall great prices, friendly staff and delicious sushi. Adding this one to the rotation for sure! -
Review from George P.
OK I'm on the verge of a 5 star here. The place is small, but popular, the team is friendly, they carry Orion beer from Okinawa. (My wife is Okinawan) of the Sushi places we've tried she has been good at pointing out that some of the ones that don't quite have the taste she is looking for. Her take was most everything was really good especially the Miso soup and the Agedashi Tofu.
Reasons I'm not giving 5-stars? the Karagi had no "crisp" to it and was all white meat vice a mix with some crunch. Same thing with the Spider Roll there was very little crunch to it, but hey that is subjective, I prefer the crunch where others will not. Over all?!
Fantastic taste, the Yellow tail, crab, scallops, and well everything we tried was great, great service and prices are in line with most other Sushi places we enjoy frequenting. We will be back!

Ask for the back tables if it's late at night cause you will hate the next person walking in giving you a chill blast. And get out the way if you're waiting cause someone can open the door and get you too.
Garlic super salt edamame. Free, so I will leave it at that.
Had the dragon, caterpillar, and firecracker roll.
They all had the same filling- shrimp tempura, REAL "dry" shredded mushed crab, and cucumber(except firecracker).
On top: Firecracker -(not that) spicy tuna & crunchies
Dragon - eel
Caterpillar - avocado
Everything tasted pretty good except the crab meat. Too dry for my taste. My favorite was the Firecracker. Love spicy tuna.
Will come back to try other rolls when I am NOT on a budget. Prices up a notch from Sushi Deli. -

Good sushi but not the best. I give them props for serving edema-me before they bring out the rolls. You'll need it, because every time I've been, the service has taken quite a while. Granted, the place is usually pretty packed, but the time to get the food could definitely use a shot in the arm.

Review from Grace B.
Love the vibe of this place. It's cozy so expect to wait on a table. We didn't wait at all for a table, but as soon as we got there and sat the waiting area just filled up! The selection of specialty rolls are great. The kamikaze roll, fish attack, and super spicy tuna were among my faves out of all the rolls we ordered. The seaweed salad was good and I truly appreciate the complimentary edamame! Going to have to go again just to try the other rolls that we didn't get to order but wanted to.
-
Review from Sean W.
The people who work here are really nice but the sushi is not good by any stretch of the imagination. Everything is infested with avocado and drenched in various sauces so that you can't taste the fish or rice. The edamame was mushy and the oysters were too warm and had too much mignonette.
I can only attribute the 4 & 1/2 rating to some kind of mass hysteria. -

I am very experienced with sushi and especially sashimi. This place is outstanding and the quailty of fish is top notch. They buy whole fish to ensure quality and prep it themselves.
Service is a bit quirky, consider it charming and you'll have a great experience with good value.

Fish Attack! is hands-down, bar none my favorite sushi spot in San Diego (and I've been to an embarrassingly large number of them).
I had the good fortune of living in Clairemont when they first opened their doors, so I got to be one of the first of many, many regulars that now frequent Fish Attack! I'm on a first name basis with the chefs and staff at this point, and recently had my birthday there. We were the second party of 10+ having a birthday there, we arrived an hour before closing, and Mike and Phil, the two chefs, bravely provided us with yet another awesome meal. It was one of the best birthdays I've ever had. I've had everything on the menu, twice (sometimes more), and have yet to have a negative sushi experience with them. Mike and Phil have definitely put in their 10,000 hours mastering the craft of sushi.
Some favorite rolls of mine: the Albacore Special Roll, the Hot Kiss Roll, the Super Salmon Roll, and the Firecracker Roll (a roll the have on special right now).
Favorite Nigiri: The Red Snapper is out of this world. I could eat that all day and night. The Salmon and Tuna and Eel are equally incredible. I have not had bad Nigiri here, but seriously, the Red Snapper is so good it almost makes me angry.
Bonus Points: Mike and Phil have made me custom rolls in the past based on my favorite fishes (RED SNAPPER!). This is because I'm a regular, and I have only asked this on a couple of occasions when it was slow, but nonetheless, Bonus Points!
Now, to address some of the less positive reviews: Please understand that this is a small, family run sushi restaurant that is very popular. The place does get crowded on the weekends and for good reason. I have yet to encounter another sushi restaurant that has such a combination of quality and modest pricing. So yes, sometimes you need to be patient, but all good things come to those who wait.
Bottom Line: Fish Attack! is an awesome, small sushi spot that boasts extremely high quality food for modest prices. The staff are extraordinary friendly and do their best to make you feel like a valued customer. They have a lifelong friend and follower in me and I hope this review inspires all of you out there to give them a try. They really deserve it.
Thanks,
Max -

Visiting from Colorado, we were really hungry for good sushi. We'd been here before with our son and daughter in law and were happy that we were going to return.
Every roll we ordered was spectacular. Spider, Vegas, caterpillar, volcano, and my favorite dynamite spicy tuna . . . All were presented beautifully, but more importantly were fresh and delicious.
Staff is happy, helpful and attentive. Perfect, positive experience from start to finish. Love Fish Attack! -

I have been eating sushi all over San Diego for the past 10 years now and only ate at one sushi place that can match the quality of fish attack which is sushi ota. I have eaten at fish attack nearly 50 times since it opened and have never gotten sick of it. I consider myself a regular and always see other regulars when I go for dinner. Don't believe me? Try going on a Friday or Saturday night and I guarantee that there will be a line, that says something about a sushi place. However, don't worry if you're afraid of lines because the wait isn't long and it will give you time to figure out what you want to eat off the delicious menu. Don't only take my word for it, try it at least once for yourself and you be the judge, I guarantee you will not be disappointed. To enhance your experience, sit at the sushi bar and have a conversation with the sushi chefs. If you want an even better experience, have a couple of sake bombs with them. I feed off of great customer service and I have to give them a grade of A+. Did I also say that they made it onto the front page of the Clairemont community newspaper? It's posted behind the sushi bar, you'll see. As a seasoned sushi eater and Clairemont local; I approve of the quality sushi at fish attack. Almost forgot!! They serve complimentary edamame!! Yee!!!
My recommendations:
hot kiss roll- it's topped with freshly chopped jalepenos
sashimi- always get the yellow tail
firecracker role- for all you sushi roll enthusiasts, did i say it 's topped with spicy tuna?
spicy scallop roll- if they offered all you can eat, I'd clean them out
hot lover roll- my first roll I ordered from them
the famous fish attack roll- tastes just as good as it looks
sake bombs with the chefs- it's worth it
Enjoy!!! -

The Americanized-sushi that is served here is good for what it is, but this is far from the best sushi I've ever had in my life. The rolls here are quite expensive though, and I hate spending $25 per person and leaving hungry.
We had three things: the hot kiss roll, tiger roll, and a nigiri platter. Nothing was outstanding. I'll admit that I've struggled to find even average sushi in San Diego. Fish Attack has average Americanized-sushi, but expect to spend about $25+ per person to leave feeling full. -

THIS PLACE IS ****ING AMAZING!
The service, the sushi, the atmosphere. It is just perfect. I discovered this place during finals week when a couple of my friends and I were tired of eating at convoy and wanted to try something new. We approached Fish Attack! with caution since there are a lot of crappy sushi joints and we expected this one to fall into the same fate.
But to our surprise, this place did not disappoint. The friendly service and welcoming sushi chefs were a new delight.
The first time we came here, the waitress accidentally knocked over our soy sauce and we were given free ice cream for the apology, which was extremely surprising to me, but welcoming! The ice cream was amazing too!
Back to the first time. We ordered the standard Philadelphia roll, crunchy, california, and shrimp tempura. Then we ordered the special rolls: candy, flower, spider, and pizza. And OMG!!!!!!!!!!!!!! They were all perfectly cooked and made. Most philadelphia rolls I eat have WAY too much cream cheese and it overpowers everything, but this one here had a perfect blend of cream cheese. It made the roll taste like a sushi roll and not just cream cheese. The special rolls are also a piece of art. They come looking like how they are described.
A flower, so beautiful and delicious. The spider, crunchy and spider-like, made me rethink what I was actually eating. The candy roll was odd, some of my friends didn't like it, but I liked it, so it's a hit or miss with this one. The pizza roll threw us all away. When it arrived, it looked like a circle of sushi rolls, but when we each went to pick at it, to our surprise it was cut into slices of pizzas and tasted like pizza but with the elements of sushi! It was amazing.
I highly recommend getting the eel bowl. It is fucking good!
The service is top notch!

OK, it's close to my house so convenience is a big part. Let's start with the only negatives - inside is a little tight, slightly dark, and the service with 6 of us was a little chaotic but passable.
Now for the positives - the guys behind the fish counter are awesome! Their on-site deep fryer is used for some really great and crazy things. The seaweed salad (not a big ticket item, but one of things I use to judge my sushi restaurants) was crisp and tasty.
Their Nigiri sushi have great slices of fresh/cool fish and just the right amount of sushi rice under it. The way Nigiri sushi SHOULD be served:)
Their bizarre rolls are great and very creative. The Spider roll is smaller than other sushi places, but I enjoyed it.
And don't leave without trying the deep fried green tea ice cream!
Good job neighbors.
