Meet the Business Owner: Sean M.

Head Coach Sean McHugh

Sean's been a Martial Arts enthusiast most of his life. At a young age Sean was inspired with the Bruce Lee and Chuck Norris area, which prompted him to start to learn Karate and Kung fu.
Sean stayed a completive athlete through high school competing in wrestling and Olympic weightlifting and represented BC in the Canadian Winter Games.
In the mid nineties Sean saw his first UFC and a small and unknown competitor named Royce Gracie showed the world the effectiveness of Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu in a real combat situation.
After training with a few different instructors, Sean found a home with the Carlson Gracie Team in 2002 under Professor Marcus Soares and has been a team member ever since.
