Excellent selection of craft beers. Very knowledgeable and friendly staff. Consistently good service and I'm always eager to hear their recommendations.

If you like good imported beers, ciders, stouts, and ales, bring a truck.  This place's selection is awesome.

I love a good Irish Cider, they have at least two every time I go there.  They also have English cider.
Fancy a Tiger beer from SIngapore, or a Kingfisher from India, they've got that too.  American craft brews like Rogue.

Lots of good high end Irish Whiskeys at reasonable prices.  Not a wine person, but they have all of the standard quality go to's I know off.

If you want a six pack of molson's, they moght have it.  If you want something better, they have it without the usual high price you have to pay for the rare at BC beer stores.

Brand new location for Firefly Fine Wines and Ales.  I haven't been to the Vancouver location yet, so I can't compare to that one.  However, I thought it was a very nice shop and had a really good selection of wines and ales.

I love that they have sections of wine for "great wines under $15" and "great wines under $25" for the budget conscious.  And they have a wall of wines separated by meals they would go with, such as curries, sushi, chicken, etc.  Very handy.  Their organic wine selection is pretty good, too, and has several Hainle wines, which I enjoy.  Then there is the Staff Picks and Critics Picks selections.  Or you can just search by country.  They even include some of their ales in this section.

The ales didn't seem to be a prominent focus of this location, and I think I totally missed a bunch, but did pick up a nice Phillips Heifer Bison (yeah, that's right).

They have a beautiful display for their fancier wines, and carry a few hard liquors as well in the fancy variety.

They have an Enomatic wine sampling dispenser, too!  You may try up to 3 wines, and there were at least 6 in the machine when I was there.  There is a card slot so I think maybe you pay to sample?  Not sure on that one.  Neat idea though.

They have lots of new wines and ales, and a display for them.  I love that they are getting several meads in stock.  I love mead.

The cool thing is that the prices are listed with taxes included.  The only extra thing you pay at the till is the bottle deposit.  I found the prices pretty reasonable, and comparable to government liquor stores, with the exception of maybe the spirits.

I found lots that I wanted to buy but had to stick to just a couple choices.  If I'm in the neighbourhood again I will come back.
