Review from Sapna G.
Calgary, AB
I'm writing this review based on the service I received purchasing gift certificates from The City of Calgary.
A friend of mine has wanted to take some recreation classes with the city for months but hasn't signed up yet. So I figured what a perfect birthday present it would be if I bought her gift certificates to The City of Calgary and she could just sign up using them!
I ordered the gift certificates online, and it was SUPER easy. I ordered them on a Monday and received them in my mailbox on a Wednesday. it was AMAAAZING!!!
I was VERY impressed with the efficient service I received through the City Of Calgary. Great gift, great speed, and great impression! -
Review from Chad W.
Calgary, AB
Calgary is an incredible city, with a burgeoning economy, a diverse culture, beautiful art, and fabulous people. However, the City of Calgary has been messing things up since day one.
Transit is ineffective and expensive, government owned roads are congested and poorly maintained, government work crews are slow and unorganized, and virtually everything the city plans costs the taxpayers thousands upon thousands of dollars that really should be reinvested into the marketplace, not in big fish to garnish their overpass system on Glenmore Trail.
The City of Calgary is a coercive territorial monopolistic entity that rapes our blossoming economy and brings about the process of decivilization through legislation and aggression against natural private property owners. This does not coincide with what it means to be an Albertan -- a liberty loving Albertan. -

I loved living in Calgary - I did it twice: once for school, and we came back later on because it was a reasonable place to rent and enjoyable place to live. I loved the fact you get seasons, dry climate and lack of humidty, and that the winters aren't as cold as people say. Lots of reprieve between the brief cold periods. Close to the mountains, and yet you get the big sky and long summer days. I miss living there - I'd go back if/when we return to Canada. Minus one star 'cause it's not as affordable anymore...
