One of the best in-hotel restaurant experiences I've ever had. Fantastic service, and the prime rib is out of this world!

Quaint restaurant inside Marriott, pretty empty which scared me but we went here for drinks, dessert and poutine.
Chicken poutine, holy that was a meal. It's pretty heavy, salty but great, unexpected. The star of the night would be the cheesecake, pretty tasty yet light. The crust is amazing, it's more of a nutty cookie than your regular Graham. Yum, I could still taste it.
When you want a laid back atmosphere, this is the place. -
Review from Peter L.
Fire & Water was an interesting experience. The restaurant was empty on a Friday night, which is not a good sign, which is a shame because the food was actually quite good for a Marriott. We sat in the lounge, which had a decent crowd of hotel guests, but the decor did not match the modern exterior. The menu was an interesting choice between two Prix Fixe options as well as "tapas." We opted for a bunch of tapas, which is a term they use loosely, but a big plus is the $20 bottle of wine on weekends if you order tapas. Started off with a dozen of local oysters, which were good but could have been better if they were served at a colder temperature. The braised duck leg with apples, however, was perfect, and we could have easily eaten 3 more of them. The flank steak mini-burgers, however, suffered from being a little too tough, while ground beef would have been a better choice. Overall, Fire & Water has some decent choices and a great special on wine, but lacks the decor and consistency to draw diners other than hotel guests.
