It was late on a Sunday, my first night in town and I was hungry. Where else was I going to go in the Forks?
This place hit the spot.
I ordered the chicken soup and caesar salad. I wasn't expecting much, but the soup was awesome. Flavorful broth, tasty chicken, and it sure tasted good with a Fort Gray beer.
The staff was really friendly and helped give me a great first impression of Winnipeg. -

Hefty wood beams, wainscoting and wallpaper give this Forks market public house a decidedly authentic feel.
Wile away an evening playing pool and enjoy a spectacular selection of Irish whiskeys and beer, but if you're a wine drinker, watch out. I've been served hot...yes, hot wine on occasion.
No longer even attempting a pretence of authenticity, the menu has spiralled into bar bite mediocrity, run of the mill salads and sandwiches predominating.
Quality and care has gone nowhere but down since this concept opened. Getting service can sometimes be a challenge. Table follow up is infrequent, and you pretty much have to beg for attention at the bar.
