Coming from an art background myself, I was super excited that I was going to be in Montreal just in time to see this year's festival. In fact, it was the 1st thing on my list to see on the 1st day there. I headed off with my head full of ideas of Christmas (yes, I'm a few months early) shopping and a wallet full of cash, just in case cards weren't accepted.
The only problem was that there was nobody there! No, not shoppers, but exhibitors! I wondered if I'd gotten the days/times/place wrong but when I double checked, it clearly listed that people should be there. Maybe it was because it was near the end of the festival and people had packed up what little they hadn't sold and left, but the street was filled with people milling about and I felt rather ripped off seeing as the festival had 3 more days to it.
There were about 10 booths open but there wasn't much there I was interested in and unfortunately, I went home empty handed. Maybe someone who has gone when there's been more can speak to how it is with the vendors there, but for me, it was just disappointing.
