Review from Karen C.

I didn't mind the styles - very practical, not too trendy so that they go out of style too soon.
However, the "First" brand is horrible. my over $100 boots fell apart within 2 months. I've tried polyurethane glue to no avail., the boot was just too poorly made for that to prolong its life. a friend of mine also had the same experience.
I also bought a pair of GEOX boots from them ($100 on sale) and within 2 months the zipper broke. they refused to exchange because i was over the 28-day limit. I was able to fix it with some needle and thread and some ingenuity, though it's not a lasting solution because the zipper is just weakly made and other rips are appearing along the zipper. Then, a few weeks later after this, after walking through a slushy street after a snow storm, water started seeping through the GEOX waterproof-breathable membrane whenever I walk in the rain (not deliberately stepping in puddles, just walking on normal vancouver streets). The seams were done perfectly; water just seeps in through the bottom of the boots, not the sides. Basically it feels like i'm walking in the rain wearing only socks. Now I only wear the boots on sunny days. I'm also trying to glue the holes at the bottom of the boot together to see if I can stop the water from seeping through. isn't this ridiculous??
I didn't try to complain to them about this since they weren't helpful at all the first time.
I guess Feetfirst is OK if you avoid FIRST and GEOX brands. Although they seem to be having more and more FIRST shoes and less and less other brands now. For the prices the charge though, I'd way recommend Ecco instead; waterproof, durable, comfortable and not-too-trendy.
