When you step into the Father Lacombe Chapel, you are standing in the oldest building in Alberta. Although the roof has been replaced, much of the floor and walls are from the original chapel, constructed in 1861. There are interpretive guides in period dress who can tell you pretty much everything about Father Lacombe and the chapel, which was the hub of the French Canadian and Metis community that lived in this area. Admission is by donation. This is a must-see for history buffs.
