Review from Kat S.
Neat shop with a ton of designer goods to be found. They also have a collection of costume jewelry with funky designs, so I picked up a cheap-o ring. There were lots of dresses, but they seemed to be lacking a bit in skirts and nice tops, but it depends on what gets brought in. I had nice service while I was there, but it wasn't very busy at the time.
Watch out for the sizing, though. I tried a dress that claimed to be a 10 (which should have been about right or on the large size, depending on the brand), and no matter how I tried to fit the thing over my head the cross straps kept the top of the dress up at my neck instead of my chest. I thought I was doing something wrong and tried about 10 times, but no luck. It looked like such a cute dress on the hanger, I was so disappointed. The sales girl told me that sometimes the dresses are sample sizes and despite saying 8 or 10 are actually a 2. Huh. So maybe I wasn't crazy and putting the dress on wrong. -

Things you need to know:
- The merchandise is poor quality (I tried on a Marc Jacobs sweater that was in clearance, originally $80 marked down to $70, that had a HUGE pull on the arm. The leather on the Louis Vuitton bags were torn and VERY well worn )
- The service was crap, I was on the only person in the store for over 20min and not one word from the sales lady
- The selection was not the great
- Since when is Club Monaco and H&M high end designer goods??
Don't waste your time here, walk down the street a bit more and go to ReMix -

Very cool concept, but more work needs to be done to put into action.
Great find are possible, but you REALLY need to be careful here - I tried on about a dozen things, and all but three had major damage (and really should not have been out for sale). Terrible staining, rips and frays, etc.
Sizing is a challenge as they are used items of a million different brands - make SURE you try things on.
Layout is totally disorganized. Guys, arranging by colour is not the most effective. As others have said, you'll find high-end right next to bargain basement, which means you need to search through every single item to find the treasures. For those who love the thrill of the chase, this place might be your heaven. For me, I found it irritating.
Staff were friendly although the so-much-cooler-than-you vibe was a bit much. One of the girls sitting behind the checkout was actually offensive, but the girl on the floor helping me out was great. -

I want to love this shop in theory but they are missing two things:
1) Customer Service -- I was ignored the whole half hour I was there
2) Proper culling of the goods -- SERIOUSLY? H&M beside Chanel!?
Forget it. Go to REmix down the street instead.
I wanted to love it, but it was just not as good as what I know I can get. -

I want to love this shop but it's just not quite there.
While they have a great array of designer items at a reasonable, at least for used designer, prices, their service is really lacking which makes the experience less than enjoyable.
On my last visit I noticed quite a few nice things, and ranging in "designer value" - they have everything from Louis Vuitton to Chanel to Michael Kors to Coach.
I was there to specifically look for a quilted Chanel bag (even though, alas, I can't quite afford one). I was there mainly to price compare what I've seen online.
The interaction was mainly like this:
"excuse me, can I see that bag?" "yes, It's 1999 - as in two thousand dollars".
THANKS I'M AWARE OF WHAT YOU MEANT!
All of the staff seem to generally have the same "you can't afford this" snooty attitude - at least in my experience.
This store is still generally worth a browse though, and if you elude richness, perhaps you'll get the service you deserve! -

Fantastic selection of designer goods, but I just can't stand the tension in the store. I've visited several times, and each experience is the same. The workers stand at the front and gossip, and glare endlessly. Little acknowledgement, no offer of assistance, not even a smile. I think I'll get the LV bag I've been eyeing somewhere else.
I prefer REmix or the Kind Exchange. -

I really wanted to like this place, and maybe I'll update my review once I find that fantastic designer item at a discount that the store so often breathless touts in their tweets and blog. I purchased a few of those online group buying deals for this store months ago, and so I've been visiting the store and their online boutique quite consistently. Still no luck on finding that special item yet. The selection is limited, with merchandise that doesn't move very quickly. I saw the same BCBG dress there the last 3 or 4 times I've been there.
I'm just tired of seeing the same merchandise or some very well worn designer shoes that makes me cringe to look at them. It's disappointing that the marketing of the store is so much better than the reality. So at least, kudos to the marketing and pr people.
I do have to say that the staff is always very friendly and helpful, and it is an interesting place to visit - if I ever find something glamorous, pretty and worthy to buy! -

I long for designer shoes... alas my mediocre part-time student job (and husband with common sense) put a damper of this dream!
I randomly walked into the store while waiting for a friend and I was immediately drawn toward the:
AMAZING electric blue caged jimmy Choo shoes (photo attached) in size 40 (damn you feet...why can't you be bigger for just one day).
Channel Sunglasses
Steel grey Herve Leger bandeau dress
All the items are sold through consignment so ladies and gentlemen, if you are salivating you should drop in!
Despite the array of posh labels the store is very approachable and has more of a Kensington vintage store vibe than Holt Renfrew.
Although I did fall in love (and purchased) a pair of black strappy shoes, I would say the major area of improvement is the service.
I hate to say it but everyone in the store was either on their cell phone or the store's phone. When I asked to try on a shoe I was told go ahead, but there was no attempt by the associate to retrieve the other shoe for me.
Checkout was friendly... I just didn't find them particularly attentive. -

Do your homework if you plan on buying designer labels & buyer beware. They are very excited to promote new brand name items on their twitter and website and while it is easy to get blind-sighted by shiny labels and great deals it also creates a false sense of security.
I bought a pair of Chanel sunglasses here only to find out that they are fakes when I tried to look them up online. $100 wasted!
Other than that, it's a cute store in a good spot on Queen West. The staff are uber-friendly. I did buy some fold-up ballet flats here that are awesome for $20 (new, not consignment). -

This is another store that fills a gap in the neighbourhood. While consignment shops have been pretty big in Vancouver for awhile Toronto is still lagging. I've brought in a bunch of things, some of which sold pretty quickly. The staff were picky about what they took, but nice. If you consign for cash, they give you 50%; if you consign and want to shop you get 60%.

I stop by this cosignment store whenever I'm in the area. You never know what you'll find!
Like going to Winners, you definitely need to search. There are some real gems (a new with tags Cole Haan black leather hobo for $220, Christian Louboutin pumps, a Tara Jarmon eyelet dress) but also a lot of stuff that isn't really "designer" (H&M, Costa Blanca, Zara -- I'm not against any of them, but they're not particularly built to last). Each item has a date on the tag. If it's been sitting on the racks for a week or two already, they'll often give you an extra 10% off.
There's both mens and womens stuff, although much more womens wear. Pretty big selection of everything - clothes for work, casual wear, clubwear and some formal dresses too. I think most of the clothes are targeted at women in their 20's or 30's, but there are definitely some more classic pieces too. Things are in pretty good condition overall, however the shoes obviously show their wear and some of the knits are pilling etc. So definitely give things a good once-over before you buy.
