I love this place. Here are some reasons why.
1). Staff are always too nice and make you feel at home.
2). The hot shave is done with multiple towels and shave cream.
3). They know too well how to do a legit fade.
4). The tv only plays sports channels. Mostly Canucks.
5). The music is relaxing; I fell asleep on the chair a few times.
I guess that's why they have a week long waiting list for haircut? -

In recent years, my partner has moved away from canned shaving cream and disposable razors because it caused him skin irritation. He now uses a double edged razor for a wet shave with a brush.
So I thought a shave at a barber shop would be a great birthday gift. I went to Farzad's, got a Deluxe Hot Shave gift certificate, booked an appointment, and told them that this was his first time getting a professional shave.
Sadly, he got an awful shave. Noriko, who is the other barber besides Farzad, shaved my partner. She kept nicking him with the straight edge razor, it was really weird and hard to watch. By the time she was done, there were little cuts all over his face. And, the shave wasn't as close as my partner is able to achieve on his own with his double edge razor.
Farzad was shaving another customer in the other barber chair and was not cutting the guy up. So maybe Farzad is the better barber.
We might give this shop another try, but definitely will make sure to book the appointment with Farzad next time. -

I've been going to Farzad's since its inception in 2006. If you want a solid haircut or a glorious straight razor shave, at an affordable price, just stop reading and make an appointment. Highly recommended!

I have been going to Farzads Barber Shop for just over a year now, since the first day I have been completely blown away by the level of service, the professionalism and the feel and energy I get from the business. The only thing that has changed is my relationship with the owners, and when I say change, I simply mean evolve. Every time I go for a hair cut I leave with satisfaction; The owners are people with integrity and they get to know their devoted clients, I feel like part of their family and because of that, I recommend my closest friends and family. I trust Farzads Barber and think the price point is more than resonable. SO if you are looking for a great cut, conversation and environment, Farzads Barber Shop is where you need to be!
If you are considering a cut or shave or many services they offer, I recommend calling and booking an appointment, you won't be dissapointed.

I have been twice to Farzad's Barber Shop. The first time was for the royal treatment, getting my long hairs and beard cut and shaved.
The second time was just to get a hair cut.
Both time the service was excellent. The royal treatment is a must have if you really want to be pampered for a special occasion.
I definitely recommend the place. -

Farzad's Barbershop is a traditional and modern barbershop in Yaletown. They give the best shaves in the city and are truly the nicest people. It's really one of those hidden gems in Vancouver. Highly recommend!

I was in Vancouver for the Winter Olympics and wanted/needed a shave so I thought I'd go to a barber shop for a professional shave while in town. Farzad's was recommended to me by another barber/men's grooming shop (Momentum) which was 'booked' while I was there. Wow - what a great shave at a great price. One half hour of pampering. I'm glad Momentum couldn't accomodate me. I'll be sure to stop by next time I'm up there.
