We used Farlie Travel to book our destination wedding in Mexico and it was nothing but headaches and stress!!
My husband's uncle paid a $400 deposit to secure a room and the travel agent took his money and "forgot" to book the room - and by that time the resort had sold out!! She didn't seem at all interested in finding a solution to the problem. She called my husband and said, "I forgot to book your uncle's room, so...." and that was it!!! (Luckily, the resort ended up releasing some rooms a couple weeks later).
The travel agent "lost" my brother-in-law's room when she tried to switch his departure from Calgary to Edmonton. (She didn't secure him a package from Edmonton before giving up his Calgary one). Again, she didn't seem interested in solving the problem until we demanded that he be booked a room of a higher class that was available and Farlie could pay the difference, for their mistake.
The agent "blocked" us seats on the place "as a favour" without us requesting her to do so. My mother-in-law specifically told her she needed to be seated near the front of the plane because she has extreme claustrophobia - and the agent put her in the back of the plane.
In booking these seats she SPLIT UP THE BRIDE & GROOM (my husband and I)!!!! On an overnight flight - she didn't even have us sitting together for our own wedding!! Yet, she put some of our single friends sitting together! When we complained and said we wanted to sit together, considering it was OUR WEDDING, she sighed and said it was a hassle to change seats!!!!!!!!!!!
I will NEVER use Farlie Travel for anything again! They made an already stressful event (planning a wedding) about 20 times more stressful!
