We lived in Honolulu for 25 years and know good Asian Food. Our buffet luncheon at the Golden Lotus was by far the best quality Chinese brunch that we have ever had...Everything was fresh and tasty. For $10.00 you can have a very high quality Chinese meal. Highly recommended!

I went there twice. The ONLY reason I went there is because the casino comp me :-)

The food is so and so. Nothing great. Would I pay 20 bucks for the buffet. Hell no. There are way better food around the area. I am not a big fan of buffet. Since eating in a buffet is like eating a whole sale food. :-)

If you do get comp from the casino. Try it out or better try out the noodle place inside the high roller room at fallsview casino :-)

Well, after reading "best authentic Chinese food in North America" in a guide book, I was pretty excited.  They offered 2 soups, Egg Drop w/ Seaweed (and it was loaded with seaweed) and a seafood tofu soup.  They did have a "red bean paste with dry orange peel", but unfortunately I did not see it until we were leaving.  They have a large cold bar, offering everything from jellyfish w/ jicama and Chinese pickle, cuttlefish, shrimp with hair beans, sushi and some other oddities.  The hot bar offered an exciting variety, including ox tail w/ pumpkin, chicken with lotus (BEST thing in the table) cabbage w/ rice noodle & dry shrimp (sucked!), mussels in black bean sauce, fish w/ vegetables, tofu w/ mushrooms (WORST tofu ever), butter seafood fried rice, chicken fried rice, chicken wings, spring rolls, etc.  Don't expect Crab Rangoons or dumplings.  The star of the show was the seafood curry on the end, in its own special pot.  The curry was PERFECT!  Unfortunately, the shrimps are served heads ON, and not cleaned, so it's a very messy dish.  The shrimps in the hot bar are also served whole, which not everyone in our party enjoyed.  The variety was exciting, but the dishes weren't always good.  The service was HORRIBLE.  They did not fill our drinks (party of 5) at ALL.  It was like they wanted you OUT of there.  I actually saw them clean someones table next to us, while they were at there 2nd trip up to the buffet.  They came back with full plates of food, and were like "where's our stuff???!"  The dessert table is NOT for the meek, offering black grass herb jelly, mango pudding, and about 5 other "jelly" type deserts (white in color).  Nothing sweet at all, completely bland.  I would not go again, or if I had to, order off the menu.  $20 for dinner $15.99 for lunch.

    pros:
    - food was decent (we didn't do the buffet)
    - nice view of the falls
    - clean

    cons:
    - really pricey for what you get
    - $2.00 per bowl of rice, AKA nickel-and-diming
    - inattentive service, never checked up on us even though there were only 2 or 3 other parties, took a long time to get the check

overall, not worth it.  paying for each bowl of rice pissed me off, on top of the already-expensive prices.  considering how nice the place is, you'd think the service would be top notch, too.

Another of the many restaurants at the Fallsview Casino. A good alternative to the Grand Buffet. I've only been for lunch but they have a nice selection of hot foods and dim sum. Nice ambiance and view of the Falls gardens next to the casino. PAC members get the same kind of discounts and they do at the Grand Buffet...
