Just here for the Shawarma, ma'am.
I stopped in here at 1:30 pm today and I was the only person in the place, I guess the Kingsway lunch rush is a short one. The proprietor greeted me in a friendly manner and took my order- 1 shawarma, $7.28 tax in. All was good: fresh veg including lots of nice fresh tabouli, zesty hot sauce, fresh bread, tender meat, wrapped in checkerboard wax paper. She placed it on a flat woven wicker plate (their version of a Quiznos basket I guess). Funny thing is, this plate does nothing to anchor a round shawarma and it flew off the plate as I sat down. Luckily I caught it mid-air and lost minimal toppings. Good spot to stop if you're rolling down Kingsway and craving a shawarma. Would have got 4.5 stars if the taps in the bathroom worked! -

Standing on the street looking at this place, you don't really expect much. They're not exactly turning over their product very fast, thus ensuring freshness. So, naaaaw. This place IS kinda dank. When I went in I got lack luster service and a lack luster Shawarma plate. The food wasn't hot and wasn't fresh. The price said 8$? I think, and I got charged 10$ (with tax). It was fishy. When the woman passed me my plate (without pita bread) she told me that she could go in the back and grab me a piece "if i wanted". I really love Shawarma and went in excited and positive, but here, I remember thinking "f*&k this place" pretty much the whole time :-( I dont mean to hate on these guys, its just not a great product. Clean the place up, clean up the attitude, and start caring about what your customers are putting into theirs mouths.

Great chicken shawarma close to my place. A great addition to Cedar Cottage. I was a fan of their Robson location before and the quality is just as good here. Good sized portions too.

I love falafel maison! I was so glad to see the restauraunt/central kitchen with "mama Hussein" opening in my hood. I frequent the downtown robson location for lunch and see the rest of the family regularly. The shwarma plate is a big belly full of food and the chicken shwarma sandwich is great mid size option. Good food, great prices.

I dined at the new Falafel Maison on kingsway near the corner of Knight and Kingsway last night.
I love middle eastern food and got quite used to it while living in Europe where it is a more common 'fast food'.
We had a Shawarma sandwich, a falafel Sandwich and a kebab plate. The Sandwiches were very good, especially the Shawarma. The Kebab was nothing remarkable and the salad it came with was pretty soggy.
The staff was very friendly and kind and it's great to have middle eastern food in the neighbourhood.
We also got 2 bottles of pop with the meal and it came to $28. I thought that was pretty pricey for what we got.
Overall pretty good but not worth going out of your way for. -

If you like the Falafel Maison downtown at Robson and Richards, then you will definitely like the newly opened Falafel Maison at Kingsway and Knight. Same owner, same delicious Mediterranean food, and same hours of operation(open until 11pm!!!). This is my favourite place to get a Shawarma Plate or a Falafel Plate in town. The Homous is rich and creamy, the Tabbouleh is always fresh, and the Chicken is always tender and flavourful. In a rush? Get it in a wrap form instead. The owner was telling me that soon he will be adding a Lebanese Burger to the menu amongst other items! If it's anything like his other food, I'm sure it will be delicious!
