Until recently I was opposed to sewing anything because I remember my home ec. classes in Grade 8 and I was terrible at it.  Then I started planning for a wedding and realized that I could save money if I did some of the stuff myself, so out I went to get myself a sewing machine and some supplies.

I have yet to check out any other fabic stores but this place has been very kind to me.  I was able to walk up to one of the ladies that work there and ask if there was such a book as "Sewing for Dummies" and low and behold they have something along those lines.  It's not from the Dummies series but it's just as helpful.  I sewed my first sachet this week and I was darn proud of myself lol.

They have a discount card that is $20/year or $40 for 3 years.  Since I knew I was going to be buying a lot of stuff there over the next year, I bought  and it's already paid for itself.

The only draw back is that the staff can sometimes be slow but that's because they are very efficient in servicing their customers.  At least they have been with me.  I will be back!

this is one of the nicest little places locally to get fabric or notions for that piece of clothing that you've been wanting to make. I'd call the selection for the most part "vanilla" compared other places that can be found in the lower mainland though.  The staff is always helpful and willing to suss out that certain pattern you're looking for.  The membership card can get you some good discounts if you sew alot, and they send you flyers with the latest deals every quarter with ballots for various draws. Down side? sometimes prices are
