I'm not usually a big fan of ramen but this is a place that I have to go at least once a week while I'm up during my weekly stays in Vancouver. I always order the P-Toro ramen. The pork is very lean and tasty. Add your amount of chili oil to put some spice into it. Quantity of the ramen bowl will fill you pretty well but you can always get some gyoza which aren't bad.
If you go for dinner, make sure you don't go too late since they sometimes run out of the P-toro from orders throughout the day. -

Cold, rainy, and windy. Basically summing up a March day. So what better way to spend lunch, than to test out another Ramen shop lurking quietly just West of Jervis?
I ordered a noodle soup with wonton. The broth was a little bit saltier than what I was hoping for, but most are for my taste. The noodles were cooked perfectly, not mushy at all; the wontons were some of the tastiest I've had in a long time. Plus, they didn't fall apart when I bit into them. I do wish there had been more vegetables added to the mix but the Californian bok choy was fresh and crispy.
The best part was not smelling like my soup upon leaving (not even my jacket - bonus points for that)
I'll be back - but not because I noticed that they had butter as a topping - (that's right I said butter). I think that falls into the same category as the cheese at Kintaro - sounds interesting enough to try it once, but only once for me! -

Today a small group of us left the office in search of the local noodle house.
After a short walk we ended up at Ezogiku and settled in for what promised to be an excellent lunch.
I ordered the Goma Misu Chicken Bowl and my friends all had Ramen with different toppings.
The location has a nice tiny atmosphere located just past the busy shops on Robson St. One of the interesting things about this Cafe is they have a variety of world wide locations including Tokyo and Hawaii. Also they import their miso from the head office in Japan so unique flavors are guaranteed.
The rice bowl was huge with giant pieces of chicken and tasty rice. The Ramen my friends ordered all came in equally ginormus bowls with lots and lots of noodles.
Service was very nice, fast and friendly.
I recommend this location to have nice lunches or dinners with friends or even just a quick meal for one on the go. -

If you just need a quick bite and don't mind that it's crap then this place is just fine. The ramen isn't freshly made, the meat tastes like it's been steamed or gently baked and the gyoza is half boiled, half pan fried.
For the money ($7-9) that's what you get - the gyoza is not pan fried on all 3 sides but is instead fried on one side then essentially boiled on the other sides by a cheap chicken stock.
I wouldn't return except for the fact that I really like eating noodles and I can't help myself - if ramen is cocaine then I'm Lindsay Lohan. -

I had a business lunch there yesterday. I ordered the Kimchi ramen. The noodle was nice and chewy, exactly how I like it. It was also pretty cheap, I don't remember exactly how much was it since I didn't pay. But under 10 bucks for sure.
The service was good. Although the place was busy, I didn't feel like we were rushed and the tea was always filled.
