    Calgary's short summer is packed with outdoor festivals and events.  I've found many of them to leave much to be desired, but Expo Latino is one that really delivers.  Over two full days (10a - 11p) on Saturday and Sunday, plus a Friday evening and assorted after-parties (and after-after-parties), EL exhibits a wide range of Latin American music, dance, and food.  The talent includes local acts as well as big names flown in for the occasion, and the large makeshift dance floor is packed from morning 'til night.  In true Latino spirit, everyone is warm and open to meeting new people, and I've never failed to  have a good time here.

    Parking tip: Underground parking at Eau Claire Market is only $2 for the entire day.
